vampirerosalie:
Rosalie bit down on her bottom lip, quickly looking down when he spoke. She had hoped he wouldn’t catch her mistake, but of course he did. His response, though not nearly as angry as their last encounter, still hurt her, and she had to take a deep breath before speaking again. “I-I’m sorry, it’s an old habit..” She mumbled awkwardly, not even daring to look back up at him yet. As much as Rosalie loved him, it hurt her to look him in the eyes when he so clearly hated her in this life, and she couldn’t bring herself to do it in that moment.
“Change. Your. Habit.” he hissed in response, hating to hear that she knew a part of his past which he did not. Maybe if she hadn't been a vampire, maybe if every time he looked at her, his thoughts didn't wander to how many lived she had taken to satiate her thirst, he wouldn’t be angry but instead be rational and speak to her about their past together. But he couldn’t do that. She had said that she loved him and yet, he only cringed to think that he had maybe loved this vile creature in one of his lives. There were a million questions he needed answers for but he couldn’t bring himself to ask or even speak without hating her. “Listen, vampire.” he said in a much calmer tone though it sounded far deadlier than ever. “Stay away from me or I will stake you.”
