Thank you!?!?!! And YES. im not sure if u want fanfic ideas for u to write or if u want to know my alex conner fanfic ideas im writing. but i'll just yap about my au here OKAY so

im not the one who made this au (forgot who, i saw it on ao3) but i am making my own version of it. When the twins were born, Conner is born with wings + is perpetually glowing, while Alex is born apprearing completely human. Because of this, they're seperated at birth. Conner is raised in the Fairyworld, Alex in the otherworld, and both are told their twin died when they were a baby. Neither of them know another world exists out there. Charlotte and John planned to tell them the truth and reunite them, but john dies.

They both grow up to be incredibly lonely. Just like canon alex, this one grows up without any friends. The bullying is more severe because she doesn't have a brother to defend her or look out for her. Conner struggles with magic. He has talent, but he's not very interested in it. other fairies dislike him for this and people don't think he'll actually amount to anything. They both don't feel like they belong in the world they were born in.

when alex activates the land of stories book, she jumps in willingly, desperate to find a place where she belongs. conner runs away from the fairy kingdom to go on some quest to prove his worth. alex falls on top of him in the dwarf forests and they cooperate to complete the wishing spell together. Alex finally gains a friend (conner), and Conner accepts that it's okay if magic is not his true calling and it doesn't make him worth any less (and he aspires to be a youtuber. or something)

they do think they're twins, but like alternate universe twins? they see each other as an alive version of their dead twin from a different version of their world. they piece together that they actually are twins when they see the curvy tree.

I never completed much of it.. i dont know if I'll ever write out the whole thing. So I'll just show a couple parts I did write! it's all very rough and pretty old so excuse the writing 💔

Sure! But not much was ever written.

The fic was mainly John's attempts at getting closer to Lloyd (and reasons for them to resent each other). It was meant to be an exploration of John + Lloyd's relationship, since for it to be so terrible, I feel there must have been something beyond just the magic draining incident. My fic took place a few months before the magic draining.

I don't think those two were ever particularly close, but pre magic draining I don't think they were very antagonistic towards each other either. Pre magic draining, I see it as a mostly awkward + distant relationship where they struggle to find any common ground. All attempts at bonding are one-sided and usually doesn't go well. Not terribly, but like. they really have a hard time getting along since they're just so different.

There's also some hidden mutual resentment, but since this is before the magic draining, it was nothing too serious. (John was annoyed that Lloyd seemed ungrateful for all their mother's attempts at making him happy + wish he wasn't so difficult to deal with. Lloyd was jealous that everyone favored John)

John tried his very best to get along with him! Often inviting him to play together or go to the forest together etc. He always gets rejected though. But then Lloyd takes an interest in reading, and since John likes telling stories, John changes his approach by telling Lloyd stories instead. Most of it were highly exaggerated versions of whatever he did/saw in the forest that day. Lloyd listens because John somehow manages to make it sound interesting.

In one of the 'cute' scenes, John tries to talk to Lloyd like usual, only to be told to shut up. He prepares to leave Lloyd alone but before he walks out Lloyd says "I didn't tell you to leave." John stays and the two of them silently read books together.

I think I've already mentioned it before, but John also tries writing stories down for Lloyd to read. There's mistakes in them, which Lloyd likes to point out because he likes being better than John at something. The stories were pretty interesting though so Lloyd continued reading them despite the mistakes. But the truth is that many of those mistakes were purposefully added in since John noticed that Lloyd liked pointing them out.

They slowly start getting along better, but Lloyd overhears brystal saying something along the lines of wishing Lloyd was more like John. Because of this, he gets jealous, and purposefully does something to upset john. (I haven't figured out what, maybe rip up something he wrote?) They have a fight which leads to this:

“Mother loves you more!” Lloyd shouts, tears forming in his eyes. “Of course she does!” John shouts back. “You're hard to love.” As soon as the words leave his mouth, John’s eyes widen, and he takes a step back, shocked by his own statement. He attempts to put a hand on Lloyd’s shoulder. “Wait, Lloyd, I'm so sorry. I didn't mean it, I-” Lloyd slaps his hand away. “Get. Out.” Lloyd hisses, seething with rage. John looks at Lloyd pleadingly. “I'm sorry, Lloyd, please, I didn't mean it-” “GET OUT!” Lloyd screams. He grabs his wand and points it at John. “Lloyd-” Lloyd shoots.

And yay! Lloyd gets his first taste of committing violence, woohoo! John tries to apologise and make up for it, but Lloyd does not let go of grudges and never forgives him. This is also kinda what prompts him into seeing himself as more like a villain + fantasizing a world where John does not exist and he gets whatever he wants. idk.

I don't think I'll run with this idea anymore, but I'll throw it into the wild in case any of you want it!

I worked on a fic and part of premise is that Lloyd's greatest dream was misinterpreted. His greatest wish wasn't to take over the world and kill his family, but to simply be happy. Since he's so different from his family and the rest of the fairies, he knew he'd never find happiness in the traditional sense. And so he latched onto the only example of people similar to him he could find: book antagonists.

Life didn't make him happy, so maybe villainy would. The dream wasn't exactly about taking over the kingdom, it was more about finally being happy about something, and taking over the kingdom was the most villainous action he could think of. or something.

Hello! So I'm working on a tlos index, where I compile everything said about every single character and everything every single character says. Throughout all 6 books. I'm also adding all info about the kingdoms etc etc.

I'm planning to add a relationship section too (every interaction a pair/group of characters have with each other) but since that's a lot of work, I'll only be including some.

So far, I'm doing Lloyd + John + Brystal, Fairy Godmother + Mother Goose, Book Huggers, Mother Goose + The Twins, Lampton + everyone.

If there's any relationship you want me to add, please tell me to do so! It doesn't also have to specifically be character + character. I'll also be doing John + trees (i got so attached to my hc okay 😞), and Fairy Godmother + death.

Ooh this is an interesting question! I think it really depends on how you think the magic removal process impacted him, physically or mentally. It also depends on how similar drowning and being buried alive are, and how much Lloyd's mind might conflate the two in the moment regardless.

I personally think that the process was impactful but maybe didn't feel exactly like drowning because magic or something or being a young child when it happened so not quite keeping the exact feeling in mind as an adult. But I don't think being buried alive would entirely remind him of the feeling of having his magic removed. I imagine he would be more upset about yet another person in his life who he thought he could trust betraying him in such a huge way.

(I think he forgets sometimes, in the moments in between everything, that he drugged Bo Peep into caring about him.) This caricature (and she isn't really anything more than that; she was born from Bree's mind and Bree didn't really know her very well, so she could only imagine what Bo might have been like) of a person he thought cared is discarding and rejecting him like everyone always does, and I think that would remind him of that first betrayal.

Really interesting to consider Lloyd's mushy, feral human feelings he probably doesn't even think he has.
