every review i've read about Lester's Fixins Ranch Dressing Soda seems to rank it in the top 5 most rancid sensory experience a human being can live through outside of a sewer system. which is why i was disappointed to find out that, to me, this tasted like sugar syrup with a very mild cheesy aftertaste, like cottage cheese whey. kind of not great beyond a few sips but overall not particularly reprehensible. maybe an odd tongue-sticking plasticness to it too. i'll admit i feel a bit robbed! as previously mentioned this bottle was expired and therefore completely flat, which perhaps made it less offensive than it could've been, but Opti had a half-glass too and practically gagged. i was sipping mine not particularly minding it while he did not like it One bit. i don't know how to explain this. am i too french to find cheesy soda offputting? have i been indulging in too much hot sauce and fried my taste buds? do i have long covid

Okay, but I've seen this argument thrown around for years, and I never believed it because it's been pushed into my brain since I was a child by my extremely Christian parents that abortion is fundamentally evil because it goes against the Bible. But I'm taking a 2nd Wave Feminism course and I finally found out that this is actually 100% true? Until the Reagan campaign and associated Republican politicians tried to find another social issue to sway Southerners, especially Southern women, in their favor, abortion was not a primary issue for churches. It was only when feminists started mobilizing and, as a result, many institutions such as the Catholic church tried to mobilize against them that churches started advocating against abortion. Abortion did not become an issue of morality for the right until the 70s. Before then, abortion was simply not discussed because most things relating to sex weren't publicly discussed. So no, according to popular belief, the argument that abortions are killing babies did not always exist, it was just an argument crafted when the Republican party needed another social group to oppress for political points

In the early 70s Sesame Street was created with an eye towards educating poor, inner-city children for free, and became a massive hit with all children. In 2016, faced with going off the air forever after facing conservative efforts to destroy public broadcasting since basically its beginning, new episodes became a timed exclusive for premium cable network HBO. In 2022 HBO Max, newly merged with and taken over by reality TV channel Discovery, removed Sesame Street episodes and spin-offs from streaming as a tax write-off and scheme to avoid paying residuals.
