there’s nothing i fear more than becoming like my mom but it’s already happening. whenever she was in a bad mood, we were all in a bad mood bc she made sure to bring us down w her…
over the last year, i’ve seen that behavior in myself but then? in those moments i didn’t really until after.
today? i’m in a bad mood and i thought wow good on me for not also trying to project that bad mood onto other ppl. sitting in a room by myself to keep from saying anything to ruin the vibes.
but then? i think i just found someone else to do that to?
yesterday i wished them (2 friends) a happy valentines day and one of them got back to me today saying that wow that came out of the woodworks (implying that i’ve been MIA; which isn’t entirely true bc i’ve seen messages in our imessage gc just last week to no response)
i told them i barely hear from them and they mentioned they send reels on insta all the time (which they do)
imo, reels isn’t a form of communication… that doesn’t count as hearing from someone.
their response? the reels are their way of saying “i saw this and thought of you” or a “conversation topic” or just a “i love you”.
so instagram is your love language? in order for me to not be considered MIA, i need to watch 30 reels a day? instead of sending messages in our actual messaging group chat?
i’ve completely gone off topic but i think me shooting back that i don’t hear from them either (literally 1-on-1 facetimes, they call each other directly, they don’t call me.) and saying i don’t consider reels actual legitimate communication was my way of making them feel bad? idk
that wasn’t the intention but it’s definitely my truth.
idk what the point of any of this is but it’s bothering me real bad.
