So, after getting this BOMB ASS jacket today, I realized that I have the whole Star Lord cosplay just chilling in my closet: the shirt, the pants, the boots and belt, even the hideous Walkman. I just need the mask, really.

What I’m saying is I’m going to try to go to as many cons as I can dressed as Peter Quill and search for my future Space Wife™

THEY’RE HERE!!

I finished the pilot pieces for “You Look Fine”!! They will definitely continue to evolve, but this captures the concept I’m striving for:

On the left is a portrait of what is externally seen. Since this one is a self-portrait, I asked people for words that described me and tried to incorporate them: sunny, industrious, artistic, organized, things like that.

On the right is the companion piece to depict Major Depressive Disorder. For its concept, I combined my own experiences with the stories I collected from other people: A feeling of suffocation, of fading away, of time losing meaning, of things falling apart/rotting, of everything feeling hollow and mechanical, and - of course - the bright focus on death against everything else being desaturated.

I’ll be doing parallel pieces like this for roughly ten different mental illnesses - then they’ll be combined with the real stories of individuals struggling with those illnesses, and presented along with my own scientific research on high functioning illness for my senior thesis.

Hey Everyone! I’m doing a project!

I’m making a small collection of art pieces collectively called “You Look Fine”, which are aimed at raising awareness of the struggles of people who are “high-functioning” with mental illness. I would like to pair these pieces with the real stories of people who struggle with high-functioning mental illness every day.

Yo dudes!! Big news!! And I need your input!!

I want to get back to commissions and writing. So, starting the first week of June, I will be doing ONE commission and publishing ONE chapter of a serial novel per week.

Commissions: The first two commission slots for June are already promised to Edward and Sara, but for the other three weeks I will be taking commissions on a first come, first serve basis. I’ll have updated commission prices within the week.

Novel chapters: I’ll be setting up a wordpress for easy reading, but before I do - I’m currently working on two novels right now! But I’m only going to publish one of them weekly. Which one is up to YOU:

A. Modern fantasy. A necromancer, who hates being a necromancer and just wants go to college, searches for a way to get rid of the ghost that has been haunting her for most of her life.

B. High fantasy. A man-made demigod assembles a group to help her figure out why the planet is dying. Problem? Her human body is rejecting godhood, so she has to complete her mission before the power kills her.

I STARTED MY NOVEL!!! Please enjoy my character design sketches of many of the characters, including the accidental boy band of characters at the bottom I'm trying to draw smaller eyes and more varied facial parts \(•o•)/

I loved doing my first Moth Girl so much that I wanted to do a second one, this time playing with the idea of a black and white moth and a lantern. The shape of the fluff that covered the face reminded me of a woman wearing a hijab. I really loved creating her design. (I just really love fluffy moths okay)
