this has got to be the worst day ever. nothing has gone in jaemin's favor today.

he kept missing steps during practice, prolonging practice for the rest of the boys. despite them telling him "it's okay" and them reassuring him that it happens, jaemin still felt bad for keeping his members from their plans after practice. he could also tell that the members were starting to get frustrated too, everyone falling quiet and focusing on the choreo. mark and jeno softly give jaemin advice, and all jaemin can do is nod in gratitude.

also, this morning he woke to the pleasure of one of the Lu triplets' chewing at his favorite rug in the living room. he scolded them before inspecting the damage and seeing that it couldn't be saved. he couldn't hide this corner, since the two corners hidden under the couch are also chewed up. normally, this wouldn't bother jaemin as he loves his babies and he knows they're just cats at the end of the day, but he felt especially bothered and upset by this today. it should've been a sign for how the day would go.

to top it all off, jaemin spilled his coffee down his pants as the lid of his coffee wasn't secured. luckily, he had a spare pair of pants in his bag, but it didn't make him feel any better.

"let's call it for today," mark tells the choreographer and the group.

'thank you's and 'good job today's are said across the room as jaemin sighs looking at his phone. of course, it doesn't recognize his face, adding to jaemin's irritation for the day.

upon opening his phone, he receives a message from you:

my princess 💝👑: hi baby! i hope your practice is going well and you had an amazing day ^~^ love u

jaemin hasn't been able to speak to you all day from how busy he was, he realized you don't know how shitty his day has been. he gets in his car, and starts driving autopilot to your place.

when you hear the beeping of someone entering the code to your door, you tense up in a quick panic and look towards your door.

"it's me," you hear the familiar voice of your boyfriend jaemin as the door opens.

"jaeminnie!" you exclaim getting up from the couch to greet him. you help him take off his jacket before giving him a kiss and pulling him into a hug. "how was your day?"

"not great..." jaemin mumbles into your neck. you try to let go of the embrace to read his face, but jaemin hugs you tighter. he needs this.

after he lets go, you grab his hand and lead him to the couch. you pull him to lay his head on your chest and rub his back and neck to comfort him. with the way jaemin's hugging you back, you know he needed this more than anything else right now.

"what happened?" you whisper into his hair.

jaemin only responds with a hum. you know he'll tell you when he's ready, but right now he just needs to be here with you in your arms. because every time he is, all his worries fade to grey and he can forget about everything outside of this. you are his comfort person, his escape, his home.

jeno would either plan really simple but cute dates like going to the movies and dinner or he'd do something at home like making charms or painting. anything just to spend some quality time with you <3 jeno's also so thoughtful and creative, i feel like once in a while he'd plan a more extravagant date based on something you mentioned once or if he saw you watching a lot of videos about a certain activity on insta or tiktok, he'd plan it for you guys to do together.

Beauty - What do they admire about their s/o? What do they think is beautiful about them?

it's corny but jeno just thinks you're beautiful inside and out. he gets a little bitter when strangers call you pretty cuz they just don't get you like he does! of course he thinks you're the most beautiful person he's ever laid eyes on, but he also loves your humor, personality, habits, and everything.

Comfort - How would they help their s/o when they feel down/have a panic attack etc.?

jeno is literally your rock, unwavering support and love even when you feel like pushing him away. he'll just be there for you and make sure you know that he's always there if you want to talk or just want to cuddle. he'll always lend a listening ear and a shoulder to cry on.

Dreams - How do they picture their future with their s/o?

marriage, duh. altho he doesn't imagine himself having kids like the other dreamies imagine having children. jeno just dreams of a comfortable life with you, where you go to each other's annual family vacations, family dinners, friend gatherings and vacations where everyone gets along and he feels comfortable and in love. also, he definitely dreams of traveling the world with you.

Equal - Are they the dominant one in the relationship, or rather passive?

jeno can definitely be both, depending on the situation. he was more passive when he was upset about something at the beginning of your relationship, and he's continuing to work on it to express himself, he just doesn't like starting arguments/confrontations :( dominant in everything else tho hehe

Fight - Would they be easy to forgive their s/o? How are they fighting?

very rarely will jeno shout during an argument, he tends to stay quiet which makes you even more angry cuz you wish he would just fight back. but he's very easy to forgive you because he really really hates fighting with you and he does try to see things from your pov. and ofc you do the same when he expresses himself too.

Gratitude - How grateful are they in general? Are they aware of what their s/o is doing for them?

jeno is incredibly grateful. grateful to have you by his side thru thick and thin, grateful that you choose each other each and every day. even the smallest things he's grateful for, like you tidying his clothes in the closet when he was rushing that morning.

Honesty - Do they have secrets they hide from their s/o? Or do they share everything?

any secrets jeno has, they're unintentional. they'll be things he just never thought to bring up but they're usually not that big of a secret that would impact your relationship. you'll just pout at him for not sharing it ahead of time.

Inspiration - Did their s/o change them somehow, or the other way around? Like trying out new things or helped them overcome personal problems?

jeno's not lying when he says he became a better person after meeting you. he's become more understanding and empathetic towards others and wants to try new things all the time with you and do the things that you like. in return, jeno's inspired you to be more hard working and patient with others.

Jealousy - Do they get jealous easily? How do they deal with it?

yes, jealousy is a disease and jeno has it. again, he doesn't always express it because he feels like he's overreacting in most situations. if you talk about your male coworker a lot, he'll get jealous and if it persists, his pent up jealousy will just become anger and you'll fight it out. but you try to never give him a reason to be jealous, he's your one and only afterall.

Kiss - Are they a good kisser? What was the first kiss like?

yes, duh. the first kiss was nothing crazy, you were laughing together on one of the dates at the beginning of your talking phase. you were really close together and it honestly just happened naturally. you both initiated it, it couldn't be helped! but since then, jeno's been obsessed with kissing you, he'll just do it whenever he wants.

Love Confession - How would they confess to their s/o?

cutie jeno would prob be kinda awkward about it >.< it would be on a regular night in and he would start to dance around his confession but you wouldn't pick up on it, you just thought he was tired and saying things. then he would properly sit up and grab your hand, "y/n, i'm trying to tell you i love you." you would be so shocked by that, but his calm yet sudden outburst to you would fill your heart with love and joy and you'd reply, "i love you too, jeno."

Marriage - Do they want to get married? How do they propose? What would the marriage be like?

jeno would propose to you after one of your special dates with a intimate night at home. it would be set up full of candles leading up to the bed where there's a small but luxurious bouquet with your favorite flowers. when you turn around, you see jeno kneeled onto one knee, "y/n, make me the happiest man to walk this earth and be my beautiful wife for always and forever. will you marry me?" you guys would lead a simple, yet unwavering loving marriage full of happiness and adventures together just the two of you.

jeno is constantly close to you or paying attention to you when you're out together. when you're with friends, it's obvious that you're together when you meet new people. he often expresses his feelings to you through his actions rather than his words, which is one of the reasons why people know you're together cuz jeno is always touching you in some way shape or form when you're out together.

PDA - Are they upfront about their relationship? Do they brag with their s/o in front of others? Or are they rather shy to kiss etc. when others are watching?

jeno doesn't necessarily brag, but he does talk about you all the time. "oh, y/n and i went there last week" "oh y/n told me..." "y/n is waiting for me" it's always you you you, haechan def teases him about it. and again, jeno's obsessed w kissing you, if you show up to a team dinner jeno will just kiss you out of habit and get shy after lol

Quirk - Some random ability they have that's beneficial in a relationship.

you know how jeno always comes up with creative solutions in content? that would happen a lot in your relationship with jeno. he would always find solutions that require less work but create the same results. or if you were missing a tool, he would find an alternative tool that would get the job done (and if it's something that just requires strength, he does it for you very easily).

Romance - How romantic are they? What would they do to make their s/o happy? Cliché or rather creative?

i wouldn't say jeno is super romantic, but he's appropriately romantic to leave you happy and satiated. jeno doesn't like being cliche, but when he does show his romantic side, it's very romantic and tailored for especially you that you have no choice but to feel touched and love your boyfriend even more than you did the day before.

Support - Are they helping their s/o achieve their goals? Do they believe in them?

of course - jeno is so supportive of your goals and always encourages you to take steps towards them even as you encounter setbacks. he believes in you and trusts that you can do anything you set your mind to. he will try to help in any way he can, like setting up meetings with certain people that can help guide and mentor you in achieving your goals in better ways than he ever could.

Thrill - Do they need to try out new things to spice out your relationship? Or do they prefer a certain routine?

jeno likes feeling comfortable, but he does need some spice to keep himself stimulated. if there's certain things that you both already know you love (like a restaurant), he's happy to just stick with that and not try something new. but if you both feel like you're missing a certain something (like a specific cuisine or dish), you'll go out to explore it until you find something you both love and just add it to your routine. since the beginning of your relationship with jeno, he's always tried to be as empathetic as possible. he always knew he wanted to know you inside and out, so he made it his mission to know every little thing about you. what you like and don't like, your habits, your pet peeves, your favorite things, everything.

your relationship definitely lies within his top 3 priorities in his life, next to his job and his family. you are his everything and he genuinely can't imagine what his life would look like without you there, so he makes sure to take care of you and your relationship.

Wild Card - A random Fluff Headcanon.

jeno's favorite mundane thing to watch you do is eat. sure, you don't think you look very flattering when you eat, but jeno thinks you look so cute munching away at your food and humming when it's really good. you think jeno's a slow eater, but really he just gets distracted watching you eat, feeling happy that he gets to do these simple, beautiful things with you and feeling proud that he's taking good care of you.

XOXO - Are they very affectionate? Do they love to kiss and cuddle?

jeno is subtly very affectionate towards you. he will always be touching you when you're out together, typically its thru holding hands cuz we know how much he loves holding hands :( he doesn't really like to kiss in public, but behind closed doors, TRUST he's kissing you all over all the time and cuddling you wherever you lay or stand.

Yearning - How will they cope when they're missing their partner?

jeno feels like he's going absolutely insane when he doesn't see you for 2 or more days. two days is his limit. afterwards, he gets kinda cranky and extra pouty and sad cuz he misses you so much :( he'll spam your phone with messages until you reply, and when you do he'll just call you so he can see your face and hear your voice. but it's simply not enough because he wants to touch you and kiss you. he'll do anything to be able to see you again as soon as possible.

Zeal - Are they willing to go to great lenghts for the relationship? If so, what kind of?

he is, but only to a certain degree as he has boundaries just like you do. if you asked him to move into your place instead of the other way around, he would do it no problem. he would book getaways for you when you were feeling down without you having to ask for them. but if you asked him to cut off his friends/family for no reason, he wouldn't do it. again, jeno would do a lot of things for your relationship, but only if they're reasonable.

i think jeno would be kinda panicked if he saw you suddenly sobbing to the show or movie you were watching together.

like if he heard you sniffling next to him, he would try to get a better look at your face to see if you were really crying. when he sees that you are, he quickly grabs some tissues from the coffee table and hands them to you. you'll accept the tissues with a smile and dab away your tears and clear your nose.

but as the show/movie progresses and gets sadder, you'll start full on sobbing and jeno won't know what to do.

"(.◜ᯅ◝) don't cry.." he whines pulling more than enough tissues out of the box.

you know jeno's a T deep down so he doesn't really know what to do in these situations and feels awkward around people that are crying. but he always ends up doing exactly what you need. he'll rub your back and hold you, and occasionally tease you about crying to lighten up the mood. after you calm down, he'll grab your favorite snack that he always has on deck in the apartment and let you feast on it until you're smiling again.

(on very rare occasions, he'll start to tear up himself when he sees you crying. he already thought the show/movie was sad, but seeing you cry makes him feel deeper and tear up. he tries to subtly wipe his tears away, but you always catch him. you'll chuckle before handing him a tissue and holding his hand. of course, you'll tease him like he does to you when you cry, and he'll laugh with teary eyes and a puffy red nose 🙁)

jaemin would be the type of bf that would be soo pissed if he found out you skipped lunch or something. he literally learned how to say it in english.. like it's that serious for him.

if you sheepishly tell him you skipped lunch, his entire body language would change. like if your head is on his shoulder, he would move away so it wasn't anymore.

"why?" "what do you mean you skipped lunch?" "no, this is unacceptable."

it's honestly a bit of an overreaction, but he really does mean well. he would immediately get up and make you something to eat in your shared kitchen (or order you take out if he wasn't physically with you), even after you insist it's okay.

jaemin's brows are creased together as he makes you ramen or something quick, even though he wishes he could feed you a 5 course meal right now - he just needs to get you to eat something.

you know he's genuinely upset, so you opt to apologizing, telling him thank you, that you don't know what you'd do without him, and that you love him.

"don't apologize, it's just not healthy for you. i want you to eat something even if you're busy," he kisses the top of your head, "i want my princess to be happy and healthy."

you smile at him and wrap yourself around him as he finishes whatever he's cooking/making. you sit down at your dining table as jaemin watches you devour his food (best chef ever actually) and makes sure you finish everything, like even the crumbs. he'll point at the stuff you missed, and you'll roll your eyes before eating it anyway 😣

after your boyfriend jaemin shuts your car door for you, he quickly loads the trunk with your picnic date necessities before hopping into the driver seat.

jaemin planned a cute picnic date for the both you all by himself. whenever you asked him if he needed your help planning or doing anything for the date, he would say, "no, just pick something cute to wear. i'll handle the rest" with a smile.

this happens often, jaemin always taking charge for planning every single detail when it comes to dates. today, he was prepping your lunch in a bento box for the picnic and when you tried to help him cut the fruit, he would lightly push you away and make you sit down. you pouted and insisted on helping him, but eventually you gave up since you knew jaemin would never give in.

jaemin grabs your hand over the console of the car and starts to drive to your favorite park for dates. on the way there, you roll down your window to soak in the sun and let the wind through your hair. the stereo was playing jaemin's playlist, which you loved as he had the best music taste and it fit the vibe for today.

you watch jaemin expertly parallel park his car on the road, hand on the back of your seat, eyes and jaw set in focus as he slots himself perfectly between two cars.

"great job~" you both say in sync, making you laugh at how jaemin complimented himself on his parking skills.

as you unload the car, jaemin has no choice but to let you help him but he only lets you carry the blanket (the lightest thing he brought). you both settle on a spot that's half shaded by a large oak tree and half in the sun. it was a warm day but there was still a small breeze in the air that made the temperature perfect.

you and jaemin work together to lay out the blanket that could easily fit 4 people, but you know that you and jaemin will be pressed together the whole time that more than half the space will barely be used.

finally, jaemin takes out a bento box of the food he prepared himself. you gasp at not only how much food there is, but also how beautiful it all looks. onigiri balls, savory ham & cheese sandwiches, dessert sandwiches with the strawberries cut to look like hearts when cut in half, kimbap and other picnic essentials are fit perfectly into the 3-tiered bento.

"jaem, this look so good!" you exclaim, grabbing a grape from one of the boxes.

"anything for my girl," jaemin smiles at your excitement at his food before pecking you on the cheek. he can always count on you to praise his cooking, even if it's the simplest thing like a sandwich.

you give him a quick peck on the lips before digging into the lunch jaemin prepared. of course, jaemin insists on feeding you some bites here and there and his habit of opening his mouth when feeding you shows itself making you giggle each time. as you eat, jaemin watches you as your eyes light up when your favorite flavors hit your tongue and laughs as you dance a little at how happy you are in this moment. he brings out his camera to snap a few pictures, most of them you're looking at jaemin behind the camera shy and telling him not to take pictures of you eating.

"whyy you look so cute," he says snapping another picture of you with a grape in your cheek and your cheeks flushing at his compliment.

as the boxes clear out, jaemin brings out two coloring books, your new favorite hobby. he pulls out a box of markers from his picnic bag and sets them between the two of you.

you both start coloring a page while laying on your stomach, but jaemin keeps getting distracted by you. he keeps snapping pictures of you coloring the page, smiling and hair falling over your face (jaemin tucks it behind your ear ofc).

jaemin's page is completely abandoned as he wraps his arm around your shoulders and watches you color your page, offering suggestions here and there which you take.

as you finish the page, jaemin exclaims, "IT'S PERFECT!" one of his many exclamations whenever you show him a completed coloring page. you laugh and push his shoulder.

"what? did i lie? it's perfect!" jaemin continues, you know he's saying it in a joking tone but really means it.

"no, you didn't lie. of course it's perfect, i made it," you reply proudly in return.

now its jaemin's turn to laugh. you smile at him before kissing him on both cheeks and the lips. jaemin lays down with his hands under his head and you laying on top of him. you share your moments of comfortable silence mixed in with random conversation.

as you start to draw hearts with your finger in random spots over his chest, you hear from him say, "i love you too."

"i love you more," you whisper kissing his neck.

"not possible," jaemin smirks.

as you're about try to fight him about it, jaemin interrupts by grabbing your face and kissing you. guess you'll have to let him think he loves you more.

"look who finally decided to show up!" haechan yells when he sees you and your boyfriend jeno hand-in-hand approaching the group.

"keep going or you won't get a meal from us," jeno responds as he sets your shared stuff in the sand next to your friends towels.

haechan mimes zipping his lips before reaching in one of the paper bags you brought of take out food from the group's favorite restaurant.

you help jeno set up your XL towel to share, the wind whipping through the towel messing up the way the towel lays on the sand. you take off your sunglasses and look out towards the ocean where the sun glint blinds your eyes slightly, but it's so beautiful you can't look away.

when jeno takes off his shirt, you feel yourself getting shy and red even though you've seen him topless countless times. maybe cuz it's in public and in front of your friends. still, you feels a sense of pride.

"showoff," jaemin teases jeno.

you quickly but diligently apply sunscreen on your face and force jeno to sit still as you rub sunscreen into his face. he helps you put sunscreen on your back and you do the same for him before finally settling down and digging into your food alongside your friends.

"thanks for getting the food," renjun says as he sits next to jaemin on his towel.

"enjoy junnie," you smile at him and pat his cheek.

you, jeno, jaemin, haechan, and renjun sit in a loose circle formation as you share stories from the past few days you haven't seen each other or recalling stories from your shared past. you're thoroughly amused listening to the boys share their stories, and you glance over at jeno every once in awhile to catch him smiling or eating his food with wide eyes. you feel the need to be closer to him, so you press your leg against his and lean into him. jeno notices your touch and wraps an arm around your shoulder pulling you closer, continuing to listen to his friend ramble on about the most random things.

afterwards, jeno and jaemin get up to play frisbee on the water. you fall into natural conversation with renjun and haechan, with haechan nagging (ofc) and leaving you repeating phrases like "aishhh" and "so annoying", but deep down you both know you love him like a brother.

after some time, jeno comes back and asks you to go in the water with him. you hold hands walking into the water, stopping when the water first hits your feet to get adjusted to the cold. the water was pretty still today allowing you to get deeper into the water without being swept off your feet by large waves. still, you stayed closer to shore than jeno would prefer.

"come onnn let's go deeper, it doesn't get that deep," jeno pouts.

"jen-" you're cut off by jeno picking you up and running deeper into the ocean, the splashes hitting the back of your legs and face.

"JENO!!" you squeal as jeno laughs under you.

jeno grabs your thigh and wraps it around his waist underwater as you wrap your arms around his neck. jeno secures his hands under your thighs, keeping you propped up and secure against him. jeno smiles at you before kissing you and you play with the wet strands of hair at the nape of his neck.

"are you enjoying your time?" jeno asks.

it was a silly question. the beach was your favorite place to be, ever. it was hard to make time to go to the beach together with your work schedules and the weather not complying. but today was a perfect sunny day and coincidentally everyone had the day off today. so when you texted in the group chat that you and jeno were having a beach day and couldn't make plans, the rest of the boys asked if they could join. you and jeno happily agreed.

"of course," you reply pushing jeno's hair out of his eyes.

"you look beautiful like this," he smiles in return.

"like what?"

"under the sun, happy and glowing," you can hear the sincerity in jeno's voice, "you're my sun."

you bring your face closer to jeno's, foreheads touching, "i love you, if i'm the sun then you're my moon." you share a heated kiss before going for a quick swim then drying off under the sun. you lay on your stomach to read the book you brought and jeno lays on top of you, head resting on your bum.

the other boys start to play spikeball next to you as the sun starts to set. and when jeno wakes from his brief nap, he joins them. you end up watching them play, and the game just becomes a competition between haechan and jeno with renjun and jaemin bad at sports 😭

eventually you all sit back down to appreciate the sunset, with the three boys taking pictures of themselves. beside you, you hear a camera shutter. you turn to look at jeno who pulls up the picture he just took of you.

"pretty," he says adding it to his photo shuffle of phone wallpapers of you.

you and jeno end the day slightly sunburnt, tired from the sun, and hearts full of love.

when you first started dating jeno, he would be really shy on facetimes/video calls with you. keeping the phone camera at an appropriate distance from his face and keeping things very demure.

but after months of dating and many many calls, jeno has gotten very comfortable. he would bring his face close to the camera and smile or do silly faces into the camera. it always makes you laugh and you would tease him for being annoying. but when he's abroad and he would bring the camera close to his face, it made you a little sad because it made you miss him more than ever.

when he's up close to the camera, you can see all the features of his face that you love the most. the mole next to his eye, the mole on his nose, the light in his eyes, his smile lines, his nose scrunches, his neck... the feeling of missing him so deeply would be so strong, that it would bring you to the verge of tears. you even cried on a call with him once, sobbing in between your words, "i just miss you."

a similar feeling was happening now.

"babe, back up from the camera, i can't do this right now" you say teasingly (but also seriously cuz you could cry right now).

"why~" jeno says bringing the camera even closer to his face.

you fall silent and decide to just appreciate his face up close like this. jeno smiles and chuckles lightly at your lack of an answer.

"i wish i could time travel so i can see you right now instead of in a week," you mumble and pout.

"maybe you should close your eyes for a second and pretend i'm there."

"no," you deadpan.

"come on, just for 30 seconds." jeno nags.

you roll your eyes and go along with jeno's antics. but suddenly, you hear a knock on your door which makes you jump.

"omg that scared me," you whisper, "someone's at my door."

"this late? keep me on the line," jeno says with concern.

you trod over to your door and look through the peephole on your door. your gasp is audible from your own phone as you quickly open the door to see your boyfriend standing on the other side of your door.

your jaw drops before you throw yourself at your boyfriend.

"wow my girlfriend can time travel" jeno smiles as you kiss all over the face you've been loving only thru a screen for weeks.
