i want to be a cat. jobless. educationless. useless. there to be pretty and soft
sometimes self care is saying âthis is stupidâ and closing the tab
The only thing âsheâs doneâ is be Black. I donât recall the media being so fixated on the white wife of that other prince. Whatâs worse is that her husband is powerful enough to shut down the racist tabloids but heâd rather save face of the royal family đ
Journal comic about being a new mum.
One of the most pernicious modern myths about motherhood is that having kids will damage your career. Women are told that we need to choose between our jobs or our children, or that weâll spend our most productive work years âjugglingâ or performing a âbalancing act.â
For those of us uninterested in circus tricks, a bit of perspective: Itâs not actually motherhood or kids that derail womenâs careers and personal ambitionsâââitâs men who refuse to do their fair share.
If fathers did the same kind of work at home that mothers have always done, womenâs careers could flourish in ways we havenât yet imagined. But to get there, we need to stop framing mothersâ workplace woes as an issue of âbalance,â and start talking about how menâs domestic negligence makes it so hard for us to succeed.

Great advice
more people (especially women) need to have zero tolerance policies in relationships (especially with men). you had to say no to sex more than once before he stopped? dump him. he called you a bitch? dump him. he ignored you when you were sick? dump him.
obviously this happens with other gender combinations too but so many men are like this, and so many women think itâs their job to improve these men. but you canât train people into respecting you as a human being! youâre never gonna find the ones that actually respect you if you stick around trying to fix the ones who donât.
I think Iâve said it before but a lot of men get away with this behaviour (& KNOW / assume that they can get away with this behaviour) because they know, & their partners know, that there exist men who are a lot worse⊠so if youâre with a man, & he does anything from mistreating you in these ways, to disrespecting your time (&, like, personhood) by refusing to do his share of the housework, to just plain old not being a person who youâre excited about being with or who enriches your life or furthers your growth in any way, you might stick around because youâre thinking âwell at least he doesnât [x], if I have to be with a man it could be worse.â the trap of course is that you donât have to be with a man. it should be a major goal of the womenâs lib movement to work to make it socially & financially feasible for women to be single
I wept working 25Âą over minimum wage at McDonalds
This just in millionaires add crying to the list of things that they should get paid for?
I literally wept multiple times from stress at an unpaid internship
Iâm telling you that if God is real, he donât like women cuz this is the type of men he be leaving for us to date and marry.
not even exaggerating. I will stab him.

Honestly this is why I work 3rd shift happily.
My BiL is a neurologist who has done a lot of sleep research and one of his favorite areas of study is circadian rhythms. He says that being a night owl is real, it is predicated on the genetic structure of the brain, it is not just âlaziness,â and it is not a disorder. He hypothesizes that its original evolutionary purpose was basically to produce night watchmenâpeople who can stay awake and alert at night to protect the domicile while the early birds sleep.
So weâre not lazy, night owls; weâre the fucking late shift lookouts. Gonna grab my torch and patrol the perimeter if anyone would like to join me.

frankly? ban all plastics. require all public buildings to be solar powered. public community gardens in every neighborhood. ban all pesticides. ban fossil fuels. put wind turbines on every sky scraper. gardens on every rooftop. tax cars and fund public transportation. build bike lanes across every city. train/railroad infrastructure across the country (tear down highways). every state mandated to have a certain percentage of land be a wildlife preserve. local/organic farms get huge tax breaks. raise the minimum wage. aquaponics farms in every city. every family has chickens in their backyard. community composting. jeff bezosâs body for fertilizer. i have a clear idea of what i want the world to look like and i want it now. hire me
