In spite of the negatives going around in the FNDM, i wanted to highlight some of the positive things to come out of Volume 6 (in my opinion of course.)
-The animation ( no not choreography) is as good as ever. Facial animations are on point and subtle body animations are as good as ever.
Voice acting. Man have they come a long way. As an inspiring voice actor, i look up to these people so hard. Everyone is killing it
-Ruby Rose. Just, Ruby Rose. Sheās been one of my personal favorites for a long time. Im glad sheās getting a more active role.
-THE FIGHTS. Good gracious the fights! This volume has been jam packed full of awesome choreographed fights. CRWBY has really outdone themselves.
-Making Adam a good villain. I know fandom reception of him has been low, and with good reason. But i find him a really interesting villain. Im glad they played the abuser archetype straight. Makes for a terrifying villain. I also like that they gave him a somewhat sympathetic backstory with just visuals. No exposition. And that the characters didnt excuse him of his crimes. None of it is two dimensional. He can have a horrible past that explains why he is the way he is, but also deserve whatās coming to him.
-I dont really like sticking my hand in the shipping pool, but im glad Bumbleby shippers are getting what they wanted, and not some rushed have baked thing. Also small Whiterose nods speak directly to my soul.
-The pacing and story are incredible this time around. This whole volume has been concise and amazing. Now that every main character is back together, the story is so much more streamlined.
-The music! (But honestly, is it really that surprising? Casey Lee and Jeff Willams are Deities)
-The direction. ( That scene where Ruby uses her Silver eyes intentionally still gives me chills. )
Feel free to add any more that i missed! I want to spread some more positivity near the end of this quite frankly amazing volume.
