Makoto Niijima was top of her class and student council president at prestigious Shujin Academy. Her future was lined up perfectly. But in her senior year all of that came crashing down. A student tried to commit suicide, a teacher confessed to causing it, and the school was complicit in covering it up. Now the principal has tasked her with finding the truth about the group behind the teacherâs change of heartâthe mysterious Phantom Thieves. Makoto wants to do the right thing, but she doesn't know what that is anymore. What she does suspect is that the newest transfer student at Shujinâa delinquent with a criminal record, trouble maker, a guy pretending to be a girlâseems to be at the center of it all. The more Makoto learns about them, the more fascinated she becomes. Their name?

Luddite event : After the creation of textile machines (which produced fabric at a lower quality but faster rate while being dangerous to operate), textile mills fired a huge amount of their workforce leading to the remaining workers becoming overworked. A Luddite event thus in this context is "an innovation that is exaggerated to excuse mistreatment of the workforce".

I like the idea in fantasy that humans are better at maintaining things long term because they set up societies or professions to do it whereas dwarves and elves and stuff are like âjust get bob to do it heâs got a good few hundred years leftâ and then bob doesnât teach anyone else how to do it
Human: Wait thatâs why thereâs ruins of elven cities even though you live for so long? You just keep not asking people how to do things? How do you learn anything?
Elf: Thereâs a lot of âyouâve got time to figure it out on your ownâ attitudes floating around in our society that Iâm starting to question somewhat.
Elf: Impossible! Those metalworking techniques were lost a hundred years ago!
Human: What do you mean lost? My great-grandmother learned to make these swords from an elven smith, then taught it to her kids.
Elf: That's ridiculous. No elf would give such secrets to a human.
Human: They didn't. Meemaw delivered the metal to the forge, and no one kicked her out when she stayed and watched. She always said they barely acknowledged her even when doing business with her, like she wasn't worth noticing.
Elf: Come to think of it, my great-uncle always was rather single-minded when he started working.
Human: So he wasn't ignoring her, he just forgot she was there?
Elf: Oh, he was definitely ignoring her, too. He was super racist.

Select the "Thread" button on the scammer's comment. This will take you to the specific comment page.
Scroll to the bottom of the page and select Policy Questions & Abuse Reports.
In the "Brief summary of Terms of Service violation" field, enter "Spambot".
In the "Description of the content you are reporting" field, enter "This is a spambot, their username is USERNAME."
Reporting in this fashion helps us auto-sort your report so that it can be handled as soon as a Policy & Abuse volunteer is available. To help us address reports about these types of bots as fast as possible, please only submit one report per account, and don't include multiple accounts in the same report.
