I've been blessed to have some amazing people in my life. This week, I was fortunate to be able to spend some long-overdue time with one of them. Trish is one of my oldest and dearest #friends. We've known each other since the 9th grade. And while time, distance, and circumstances might've separated us for a while, we just picked up where we left off. As friends do. I love you Trish and I promise not to let life get in the way anymore.

Our favorite Tony winning gay man and his husband have tied the knot. That’s right! Neil Patrick Harris and David Burtka married this weekend in Italy (in dashing custom Tom Ford tuxedos I might add). The couple, together more than 10 years, has been one of biggest representations of what an LGBT family looks like. With their twins Gideon and Harper, they are truly one adorable family.

1200-ish employees at this organization and I never met one slacker. Everyone I worked with poured every bit of themselves into their jobs. Insurmountable amounts of blood, sweat, and tears went into everything they did. We had fun. We had our ups and our downs. But we carried our troops and our cargo safely to their destinations. I was lucky enough to fly with our most precious cargo (our troops) once from #ATL to Leipzig, Germany and again from Leipzig to ATL. As excited as I was to visit Germany for the first time, that excitement was incomparable to the excitement felt when we were able to carry our troops from their #TDY back #home. To all of my #WOA family, I am so sorry to have heard of your final landing. You all are in my thoughts. You're a special class of professionals and I wish nothing but the the best for each of you. This #tbt is me from #Halloween #alongtimeago. I wish I could say my sullen look was because I was in character, but my mom says it's because I wanted to dress up as #WonderWoman and she wouldn't let me. We live in a more accepting culture now, but the amount of sewing required for a Wonder Woman costume would still be over the top ;) My mom made my cape. I wish I could show you the design work on the back. It was incredible. I tried to wait until October, but I just couldn't. (at Newnan, GA)
