This client had severe mould and damp issues in an upstairs bedroom, we hacked the plaster off and found a large internal crack in the corner of the room. The crack was from the outside, this was filled and rendered externally to prevent the water coming through. . . . Kitchen care tips: . Your kitchen is a hotspot for heat and moisture so extra care needs to be taken to maintain the life of your kitchen: • always ensure water is not left around your sink, if so make sure this is wiped down to avoid damage to your work top or going down onto the unit doors. • if you so spill anything on the doors, wipe the front, back and under the door as that's where water sits. • always wait for your dishwasher to cool after it has completed before opening or emptying the dishwasher. • Never place any items that generate heat or steam such as kettles, toasters, coffee machines or air fryers directly under your wall units as the heat/steam will cause the doors above to melt or distort. Small appliances such as this should ideally be used away from any wall units or positioned well forward of any units above. • Never allow your oven to cool with the door open as this will cause any adjacent doors or panels to melt or deteriorate. • Never bake or grill with the appliance door open. • When using your hob please ensure that the extractor fan is switched on at all times to allow the steam and heat to be vented out of the room. • If you are using glass cleaner on glazed units, please ensure that the cleaner only comes into contact with the glass as the chemicals within the cleaning product could harm the finish on the door. This sink was riddled with limescale due to the client living in an extremely hard water area. The client didn't want us to use any harsh chemicals and try to be more #environmentallyfriendly . . . We used half a lemon covered in baking soda and scrubbed the entire sink and draining board with this, we let it sit for around 5-6 minutes before wiping away.
