I really didn't expect McLennon propaganda in a book about the connection between James Bond and the Beatles :O (Love and Let Die by John Higgs)

these two photos mean nothing to me and i could care less than whatever photos paul mccartney was taking in 1964. like i literally dont care at all. the visual parallels have no effect on me whatsoever. who even are these people? whatever.
I desperately need to know what flavor lollipop that was.
John being defensive of Paul
John: I'm entitled to call Paul what I want to, and vice versa; it's in our family. But if somebody else calls him names I won't take it.
Ray Connolly: It was okay for him to criticize Paul, but nobody else. I remember someone once making a snide comment about Paul's Let It Be, assuming that John might agree. He didn't. He angrily said, 'Let It Be is the bloody best song on the charts!' He was always very defensive of Paul. ‘Paul and me were the Beatles,’ he would emphasise to me privately. ‘We wrote the songs.'
Tony King: You know, John loved Paul. No doubt about it. I remember once he said to me, “I’m the only person who’s allowed to say things like that about Paul. I don’t like it when other people do.” He didn’t like it if other people said nasty things about Paul.
Alice Cooper: He could say that. But if anyone else said something bad about Paul, John would take a swing at you. He would say, "you can't talk about Paul like that." Paul was his best buddy. He would be like, "You wanna talk about Paul? Come on, let's go!!"
Yoko: [Laughs] He sold a record [McCartney] that virtually didn't have any message in it… John: Well, you don't have to have a message in a record.
Yoko: Even now, I just read that Paul said, "I understand that he wants to be with her, but why does he have to be with her all the time?" John: Yoko, do you still have to carry that cross? That was years ago.
Elliot: There's one name that has not come up yet in our discussion. John: And who's that? Elliot: Paulie. John: I object to that Paulie business! Elliot: Mr. McCartney.. John: Paul.
