Bucky and the Shield

This was a random thought that just came to me and made miserable

So you know in tfatws Bucky and Sam shared that therapy session and Doc asks "Bucky why does Sam aggravate you" "don't say anything childish" you can see the gears turning in his head if should actually say why

He then decides to ask "why'd you give up the shield" he first wants to understand Sam before bringing his own feelings. Sam responds saying "why are making a big deal out of something that has nothing to do with you"

Bucky then now say "Steve believed in you, and if he was wrong about you then he was wrong about me" you can hear his voice crack as if it's the one thing his been about

Now here's where it gets sad

Bucky saw himself as the Shield

Before old!Steve dies? He gives the shield to Sam entrusting him with it. Because both the shield and Bucky are close to Steve he naturally believes would also take care him.

Sam does not believe himself worthy to be Captain America so he gives the Shield to the government as a symbolism and safehold. Bucky probably feels as tho Sam is giving him up as well.

Fun fact : his therapy is not through self-will but government menatory

Another one is when John kills one of the flagsmasher with the shield staining it with blood. You can see the look of distraught on his face as he probably thinks back to his winter soldier days. The bloody shield reminding him of the blood on his hands

Sam without shield = sad bucky

Sam with shield = happy bucky

Being a matriculant (south african senior) sucks bro what you mean Monday to Friday I must attend school from 7:30 to 16:30 then also attend on Saturday (and Sunday occasionally) from 8:00 to 12:00

Then being expected to fit homework and studying in between

Plus I take the bus so imagine I live an hour away my bus only comes at 7am and I still have to walk a distance before reaching school, in the afternoon the bus times are 4pm and 5pm if I take the last one I arrive home at 6pm
