Hi đ, My name is Mohammad, and Iâm reaching out in a moment of desperate need. Iâm a father of three young children living in Gaza, and we are caught in the midst of a catastrophic war. Our home is no longer a safe haven, and the future here seems increasingly uncertain. đ
Iâve launched a fundraising campaign with the goal of raising $40,000 to relocate my family to a safer place where my children can grow up in peace and have a chance at a brighter future.
Unfortunately, my previous fundraising efforts were abruptly halted when my account was terminated without explanation. However, I remain determined to keep fighting for my familyâs safety and well-being. đŤś
If you could take a moment to read our story, consider donating, or simply share our campaign with others, it would make an incredible difference. Every act of kindness, no matter how small, brings us one step closer to safety and a new beginning. đ
Thank you for your time, compassion, and support. â¤ď¸âđŠš
WHAT IS UP YOU GUYS, IT'S YOUR BRO, RICHIETHETOE (read that in a 2010s YouTuber voice + I'm a poet).
I BEG FOR YOUR FORGIVENESS. I have not posted in AGES. I have a good excuse though: senior year đđ. I have been swapped with work omds, so my holidays were spent writing mf applications and essays, instead of writing for you AMAZING readers. BUT. I'M BACK.

So like, I'm an '07, so I'm going to be an adult soon. So, I was wondering, do we want this blog to transition into smut đđ. Literally, the only way I could put it. There were a lot of scenes in the Dabi fic that I didn't develop further because I was still a minor, but now (I am starting pt. 4 btw of the Dabi fic), I'm wondering whether you guys would like some actual spicy stuff đđ.
Let's see how crazy I feel today because I might just upload pt. 4 today, I've been dying to write. ALSO. I WATCHED SQUID GAME 2. MASSIVE ANGST POTENTIAL THERE (and smut, live laugh love the Recruiter đđ). SO, LIKE. CHAT, BLOW UP MY INBOX. LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU THINK.
cw: established relationship, reader wears a dress, dazai calls reader "bella" as in bella-donna, really just pure fluff
a/n: first fic... i hope whoever reads this likes it, please let me know if i made any mistakes! enjoy :) also i wrote this some time ago, for one of my mutual's writing event, but they deactivated their account so i'm posting this anyways. happy birthday to the silly!!
Your breath hitches for a moment, using your nails to make a thin slit in the stem. Carefully, you slide another stem through the slit one, and repeat for a few more. There you have it, fully made of white flowers. Now, you just have to wait for your dearest to come to arrive so that the real fun can start.
For some context, youâve noticed your lover has been really stressed lately, and wanted to do something nice for him. But you know heâd never tell you, he would just go on about his day until he can think alone at night. Thus, you left early in the morning and left a note on your bedside table, reading;
âGood morning, my love. Want to know where I am? Check my location. Also, remember to wear something light coloured, if you want to match! :)â
Now, youâre in the middle of a field of daisies and dandelions, wearing a light yellow frilly-sleeved dress that falls down to just above your ankles. Much like your surroundings, it has little white flowers peppered all over the skirt of it. The bodice of the dress fits your waist, and has a thin white belt with a white flower on it, to match. It shouldnât be too long until he finds you, knowing he would get curious quickly.
A soft sigh escapes your lips, as you wonder what has him so stressed. Not a moment goes by, even if youâre not actively thinking, that you canât wait to see him. And as if the universe had heard you, a car pulls up to the far side of the flower field, on the road of the highway. Well, not really a highway, more like a road thatâs not in the city and itâs rarely crowded.
And that car is Dazaiâs. He locks the car, then jumps over the flimsy fence.Â
âBellaaaa, how could you leave meeeee~â he whines, running closer to you as you walk towards him.
The moment he gets close enough, he wraps his arms around your waist, pulling you close to him. You canât muffle your giggles as he kisses all over your face and neck, smiling against your neck when he stops.
âSo, what is all this?â he asks, pulling his lips away from your neck, but keeping his arms around your waist.
âWell, you could call it a date,â you trail off when you notice his shirt. A soft smile forms on your lips as you realise his shirt matched the exact colour of your dress. The shirt is plain, with a slightly darker coloured collar and end of the short sleeves. Youâre snapped out of your thoughts by the slightly mocking voice of your lover.
âLove, youâre staring.â he teases, getting an eye roll from you.
âOh, sorry, I was just confused as to how you knew what shirt to wear. Yâknow, the one we bought that specifically matched this dress.âÂ
A soft smile forms on his lips as he presses a kiss to the crown of your head. He always knew how to divert the conversation, as he does in this one.
âLets just say I checked your closet and the dress youâre wearing now was missing so I guessed you were wearing it and wore this one, in hopes to match.â he chuckles, watching your expression change to a slightly shocked one. He really did go out of his way to make sure you two match, just like you asked. Your shock doesnât last for long, it becomes a giggle.
âHm? Whatâs so funny, bella-donna?â he asks, keeping one arm wrapped around your waist as he uses his other hand to fix your hair. He watches as you keep giggling, the way your eyes close and a faint pink hue dusts your cheeks. One word he would use to describe you was most definitely beautiful. For the other, a word anyone else could use to describe him could be smitten, or even mesmerised.Â
âEh, nothing. Enough of that, I have something to show you!â you pull away from his hug, taking his hand as you lead him to where you were making little flower creations. He slightly tilts his head, watching you lean down to grab something, then stand back up. You gesture for him to lean down a bit, he does as you instruct. You carefully place the flowers on his head, then let him stand back up.
âWhat is it?â he asks, adjusting it on the crown of his head. You smile in response, taking another one and placing it on your own head.
âA flower crown! I made a few earlier, so we can match!âÂ
If you ask him, your eyes were almost sparkling. In such admiration, no words are exchanged, just a gesture. He leans down, pressing a kiss to your lips. It catches you by surprise, but who would resist a kiss from him? Your star-eyed boyfriend. And if you look closely, his eyes only glimmer when youâre around. You kiss him back, a smile unable to keep itself off your lips.

Summary: Heroes always win. Every folktale, every comic, everything in our life tells us the same thing: good reigns over evil. But the harsh truth comes crashing down in a dark warehouse, where the facade of invincibility crumbles. Amidst the shadows, surrounded by those who once vowed to protect, you can only helplessly watch as your best friend, Midoriya Izuku destroys himself under the weight of this flawed, and broken system. With the entire hero society relying on him, how can he stop giving everything he has? In a world where heroes are human and kindness is a liability. You try to help him, yet even the strongest bonds can shatter under the weight of despair.Â
When everything in front of you disintegrates into pieces, whilst you can only sit there and watch?Â
It feels like a dark warehouse. Cold and wet.Â
Sunken in, casting a dark shadow, impersonating the night sky, your eyelids were heavy, succumbing to the shared lethargy that lurked in the heavy air. Your brain did not allow you to rest however, listening only to your palpitating heart, because what if the villains found you whilst you were fast asleep?
Heroes were there to protect you.Â
But why were you still so afraid? The nation's best heroes had congregated together, sharing the same space as you, breathing the same air as you.
They would never let harm come your wayâ it was their duty to protect you.
So why were they hiding from that harm, sitting with their knees held close to their chest?
Heroes were there to protect you, but that claim was voiceless in the presence of reality: heroes were hiddenâ whispering and begging the ground to stay silent as they shuffled in the shadows. Villains ran looseâ mocking the hopeless souls that they trampled on, with every free, and unabashed step they took. Â
Death had not only taken multiple heroes on the battlefield; it had also snatched their facade.Â
They were not invincible. They were not untouchable.Â
The world had just forgotten that their heroes were only human after all.Â
A phone rang.Â
Roaming eyes halted. They could not speak.Â
âItâs mineâ, Hawks said.Â
Breaths were held.Â
âItâs from All Mightâ.Â
You leaned in closer.Â
âMidoriya-kun came into contact with the second hired gun.â
Your chest ceased to move.Â
â...and he won instantly.âÂ
-
âYoung man-â
âHe didnât have any information.â
The sky wept.Â
The moon and stars had masked themselves under the darkness  that shrouded the city. If they could not see you, they could not harm you.Â
Toshinori Yagi had just watched the last remains of Midoriya Izukuâs innocence drain into the gutters of Musutafu.Â
âHe might explode too. Be careful.âÂ
He felt the impact of his studentâs departure faster than he could comprehend. Therefore he took the chance to call after Midoriya, summoning the scarce energy he had left, ignoring the rising threat in his weak chest, which was ready to surrender to the bloody phlegm building inside of him.Â
âWait a minute!â Toshinori ran after himâ though Midoriya had only moved for a second.Â
âFood!â he gasped, his hands lifting a box wrapped in a blue cloth. ââPlease, my son, you havenât eatenâŚâÂ
His hands tightly grasped around the soft, crisp fabric that was decorated with orange carrots, and white bunnies with pink noses. When he first saw it, Toshinori chuckled to himself before deciding to buy itâ this was made for Midoriya, his rising hero, the purest of hearts.Â
âAll Might.â Midoriya did not look back. âIâm fine now. You donât have to follow me.âÂ
Toshinoriâs shoulders slumped down and his brows lowered, pulling closer together. Midoriya was walking away from him without a second glance.Â
Midoriya had not met his eyes once today.Â
âI am fine now.â The wind howled louder than his voice, unconvinced.Â
âYoung Midoriya, please...â
The energy around Midoriya had increased, visible powerâ venomous and hostileâ overflowing from his tense body that was moments away from breaking.Â
Toshinori had to stop him. Or history would repeat itself.
âMidoriya, please, donât d-â
âI can move at the same level as your 100%...â Midoriya whispered, more to himself than to anyone else. âYou donât have to worryâŚâÂ
His tattered clothes soaked in the rain, his sound of his heavy steps getting quieter and quieter.
âPleaseâ, Toshinori begged, âwait a minuteâŚâÂ
But before he could finish his heartâs plea, the one who it was meant for had already left, pushing everything away, leaving everyone he had burdened in the dust.Â
The lunch that his mentor had lovingly made for him now belonged to the sidewalk and the merciless rain. Soon, it would also flow into the gutters of Musutafu.Â
-
The warehouse door crashed open.Â
âMidoriya is nowhere to be found!âÂ
All Might ran in, his hands against his knees, gasping for the still and stale air.Â
âHe-â he huffed again, regaining his breath,â he, he left⌠I tried to contact him. Phone⌠off⌠heâs nowhere to be found⌠sent class after him⌠didnât find him eitherâÂ
Your eyes twitched at the blank stares that his words had harboured. No one batted an eye.Â
They were too busy counting the days until they would be found by the real threat.Â
All Mightâs concern for Midoriya ran thicker than blood. And had you looked past those deep-set eyes, you would have noticed the faint veins that bordered his gaze; something was stolen from him. Midoriya had been stolen by the expectations of the world, held hostage in his own mind.Â
âI know where he is.âÂ
-
Orudera ChĹŤgakkĹ. Memories had been etched into the red brick walls. You pushed against that same black gate, its groans and creaks forming the haunting symphony that would promptly begin at eight o'clock sharp.Â
Lessons would start at eight-thirty, and the low murmurs of the class would subside as your sensei would come in, dropping her bags next to her desk. You would all stand up together, reciting the same monotonous âGood Morning Shima-Senseiâ before sitting back down. If she was in a good mood, the class would commence. But if she was (more likely than not) in a bad mood, the entire class would get a scolding.
âYou cannot wish your teacher a pleasant good morning, but you can chat to your friends with double the energy?! Do that again. Now! Show me some respect.â And you would all stand for another five minutes, smirking and giggling, repeating it again.Â
What once felt like a tedious task now brought a smile to your face as you reminisced about the moments spent in the classroom before you.
Birds would chirp, filling the classroom with a sonorous melody. The walls would be decorated by the younger children who drew rainbows and flowers and butterflies with every colour they could get their hands on. There wasnât a speck of grey or black found in these drawings.
It was so fun to be a childâ just a few years ago, your life was filled with colour. Â
Everything now was grey and bare.Â
At ten oâclock, the bell would ring and children would scream as they ran towards their friends, ignoring the poor teachers who repeated: âchildren, please donât run in the hallways, children please, you may get hurt!âÂ
The large corridor was so full with a sea of chuckles and laughter.
Today, undisturbed dirt coated every surface on the corridor. A desolate strip led down to the most frequented stairs of your past. Its laborious steps led to a place that no student visited as much as you did. On the sixth floor, the rooftop brought you closer to the blue sky and the fluffy clouds. You and the sun would overlook the vast plains of never ending buildings, glistening under the morning glow. People would walk, cars would drive; the hustle and bustle of everyday life resided on the grounds below you. So how could anyone truly feel alone? How could anyone ignore the true beauty of your favourite spot in the whole school?
You now understood that beauty was in the eye of the beholderâ the painful truth.Â
Sleepless nights were spent wondering, what would have happened if you did not visit the rooftop on one particular day? What would have happened to the nameless boy who had stood there, head hanging low, body quivering, feet on the ledge of railings.Â
Who could have guessed that this stranger would end up as the only friend you ever had?Â
You could recognise him in total darkness and in different bodies, for Midoriya Izukuâs pure heart could never change. It would always draw you towards him.Â
You ran up the swindling stairs, the steps leading up to the sixth floor seeming longer and steeper than before. Serenity only belonged to the pastâ this place brought nothing but a looming sense of dread, weighing you down as time ticked by. Â
The closer you got, the weaker your heart felt. You had read about it somewhereâ our bodies always knew what would happen, so they could prepare us for the worst.Â
But the thought of losing him before you could see his eyes, your beacon of light and hope, would rend a part of you forever.Â
So you carried on walking, ignoring the foreboding pricks cultivating in your body.
Those eyes⌠you could not live without them. They were an open window into the bright and welcoming flame that resided within him. He would give warmth to those who needed it without asking, never expecting anything in return.Â
Kindness had no price.
So Midoriya Izuku would live with kindness in his heart, even if it meant that it would be vulnerable and open for everyone to use as they pleased.Â
Midoriya Izuku was priceless. There was no one like him in this world filled with deceit and hate. But the world did not like those who were different from the rest. Â
He gave and he gave. Yet what would happen when he gave every piece of himself to a world that never gave back? What would happen if he finally had nothing to give apart from his soul?
The world is cruel.Â
They would steal everything he had. And that is how you found him, through the already opened door, standing under the thundering sky that showed no forgiveness to the young man who would once smile at them too.Â
Tip tap, tip tap, your eyes were blurry, but not from the rain. They had betrayed you, yes your gaze. For the man in front of you was not the man whom your heart could recognise from afar. You were so close, yet your hearts held distances, akin to the stars. Blood wept, following the course of the pouring water, revealing wounds, neglected but vain. They cried for attention they would never get, as the man who was once a stranger, had become estranged from them.Â
âDekuâŚâ you did not want him to turn around, praying for this to be a mistake. FOr him to look confused, asking you, âwhoâs Deku?âÂ
This canât be your Deku⌠he couldnât be your priceless heroâŚ
His head barely turned, but you caught a glimpse of his glowering eyes.Â
They donned an arcane mask of toughness. His front, unbreakable on the surface, yet unfortunately flawed. You could see right through it, uncovering the secrets that he hid in plain sight.Â
Immense pain had found an abode in his glassy, teal eyes; exhaustion chipped away at the shell that kept him put up to protect himself from the looming danger that would attack as soon as it smelt his foetid weakness. Midoriya let it happen once, jeopardising everyone around him.Â
He wasnât going to let it happen again.Â
âGo away,â Midoriya cautioned.Â
His heart expended too much energy pushing everyone away. He could only hope that you would listen to himâ he didnât want to hurt you.Â
âDekuâŚâ you pleaded, eyes misting over as you cautiously step forward, hands stretching wearily towards his shoulders, taking care not to brush past those fresh, untended marks that showed through the rips and tears in his clothes.Â
âPlease Deku⌠let me help you.â
Midoriya stiffened under your touch, guilt overtaking his body.Â
You couldnât be seen with him.
The eyes. They were everywhere.Â
They tracked his every move. And if they saw you now, he would never see you again.Â
You felt a strong jolt push you back into the wall, your head crashing against the stone walls, losing your grip on him completely. Your hands felt emptyâ he had disappeared from under your touch.Â
And it all happened so fast.Â
Midoriya stared at his hands, his blood fleeing from his extremities. The realisation slowly dawned upon him, raising his heart beat, shifting the energy around himâ he was a monster. Mioriya began gasping for air, choking on his own spit and tears, his vision tunnelled in on the surface of his palms.
A monster.
Thatâs what he was.Â
Your body lay limp in the rubble of concrete and dust, you swore you felt something wet on the back of your head, but your eyes urgently searched for Midoriya, who was pale and frozen near the edge of the roof.Â
His feet began to sway, and his eyes began to flutter shut. You overlooked the jolts in your body for your mind could not bear this sight again. Despite the clear warnings your aching flesh had given you to rest, you still ran towards him, clutching his body before he fell onto the ground.
Only in your arms had the outer shell of this vigilanteâs stone defence fallen, emerging a broken child who had just caused immense pain to his best friend.Â
âIâm so sorryâ, he whispered through his dried throat, quivering as the walls in his mind closed in on him. âIâm so sorry, Y/N, Iâm so sorryâ, he repeated, again and again, trapped in a cyclical doom which served only to condemn him.Â
He was a monsterâ that depraved voice screamed.Â
He was a monsterâ that depraved voice echoed as it stalked him in the depths of his own mind, following him into his deepest, intimate fears. Clutching it, taking over.
He was disturbingly light in your arms; you just noticed his hollowed cheeks.Â
Midoriyaâs strained forehead loosened as he broke down in your hold, tears running down his thinning face. Your heart beat alongside his, yet you did not dare to glance into his emerald eyes, for they had been robbed of their precious shine. You placed your finger over his mouth as he opened it to say something, a silent reminderâ everything will be alright.Â
âGive me your pain, Deku, pleaseâŚâ you begged, stroking his curly hair away from his eyes. âI canât see you like this anymoreâ.Â
A singular tear dropped on his cheek, stinging him with regret.Â
âYou donât have to carry that burden alone, Deku⌠Itâs too big⌠too big to carry alone. You give too much, you donât know when to rest. You break yourself, for people who donât deserve it and you take on things bigger than you can ever manage! You think you can do everything Deku, but you canât!â you cried, unable to stop.Â
âYou donât need to work this hard, Deku, you donât. Youâre forgetting who you were, Deku. Youâre not indestructible! Youâre not untouchable, youâre not All Might! You can get hurt, you- you can bleed, you can die for godâs sake, Deku, you can die!âÂ
Your voice began raising uncontrollably, as you held his face, shaking him.Â
âYouâre just a kid, Deku. My Deku⌠the sweet boy who I love. My best friendâŚâ you grabbed his hands, squeezing them as you took deep breaths, your throat aching. Â
âBut youâre unrecognisable now⌠Youâre destroying yourself thinki- thinking that youâll survive but what if you donât. What if you donât survive, and all of your friends, your teachers, your mom, theyâre all just waiting for you to come back.â
Your eyes solemnly scanned his wrist, eyebrows furrowed and lowered. A litany of cuts, healed and unhealed, adorned his wrists, glaring at you. Your trembling fingers gently ran over them, hovering so as to not agitate them.Â
âBut since you wanted to prove that youâre a hero, you go around picking fights that you canât win.â
The scars on his wrist opened wounds of the past. Â
Your hands that held his wrist felt empty again. Midoriya averted his eyes from yours, before pulling his sleeves down, stretching the thinning material of his hero-suit, until it covered his exposed skin.Â
The rainâs sobbing grew louder with every moment that passed by in dismal silence.
âWhat would you even know about my life, Y/N?" he asked, his voice drowning in the cacophony of the storm.Â
Just like that, all of the progress you made had collapsed in front of your eyes. Midoriya had rebuilt the cage around his heart
âDeku, what happened?âÂ
Your hands, which reached out for him, were immediately shaken off.
âWhat would you know about my life? About my struggles?âÂ
His legs faltered when he tried to run away, cramping as a warning: Midoriya couldnât move, he had used up all of his energy.Â
âDeku plea-âÂ
âYou said what you wanted to say, Y/N. Thanks for reminding me that I canât let my guard down, even near people I thought I could trust. Iâm not âindestructibleâ, Iâm not All Might, I never claimed that. But unlike you, I have the world's burden around my shoulders. If you were putting everyone around you in danger, you'd run away too Y/N. But you wouldnât know that because you're not the one giving everything your body can give, just to find out it's never going to be enough. Youâre not the reason this entire city has turned into a ghost town. But what would you know, Y/N?â
He turned around, gaze hardened into stone.Â
âYou're quirkless".
Blood rushed into your cheeks, your heart beating fast.Â
You must have misheard.Â
âYou donât mean thatâŚâÂ
He didnât. The sweet boy you had met years ago on this same rooftop would never use that against you. He didnât mean it.Â
"Now, I know why I was treated the way I was when I was younger, Y/N. The quirkless really don't know anything."
You couldn't have misheard that.Â
You had been beside his side to see every intimate detail in Midoriyaâs lifeâ every victory, every laughter, you celebrated together. Every shove and every taunt, you endured together.Â
-
âThe Quirkless Duo, aw what are you going to do now? Cry?âÂ
âI wonder how your parents feel, only having one useless kid that can never protect them.âÂ
âYaâ know, if you want a quirk, there might be another way. Take a swan dive off the roof of the building, and pray for a quirk in your next life."Â
-
We are born into this world completely alone. And we die in this world completely alone.Â
Only fools believe that they can escape that.Â
âWhat would you know, Y/N, you're quirkless.â
You were truly alone in every stage of your life.Â
"You're becoming exactly what we feared, Midoriya.â
He stopped in his tracks, swallowing the rising bile that crept up his throat.
âIf I knew this is what I'd get after standing up for you those countless times where I got hurt, where I got kicked and punched and teased everytime I defended you, I would have just let you jump off that roof.â
The wind wailed through the night sky, moving everything in its path.Â
âYou're no hero Midoriya. But youâre right about one thing. Youâre the fucking reason everything around you is getting destroyed.âÂ
It was funny to think that their first and last meeting would be on this rooftop.Â
Midoriya looked at the world, greyer than it had ever been.Â
It had lost life.
He waited until he heard the door shut behind him.
SO LIKE. WHAT IF I STARTED A YOUTUBE CHANNEL, WHERE I READ OUT MY WORK THE WAY IT WAS MEANT TO.
I sent a voice recording to my friend about the Izuku oneshot I;m writing, and since I really like to work with pace and poetry, it lowkey sounded like a spoken poetry piece.
WHICH HAD ME THINKING. LIKE... WHAT IF I JUST READ OUT MY POETRY WORKS AND UPLOADED THEM?
Would this be something you guys would be into?
PLEASE LET ME KNOW IN THE COMMENT SECTION OR IN MY ASK BOX, I CARE ABOUT WHAT YOU GUYS WANT đđ.
An Empty Vessel pt.3 (Dabi x Fem!Reader Dark Angst)
A/N: Hey guys, this is a repost. For some reason, my post wasn't getting the reach that it normally gets. I don't know, maybe it got flagged đđ. So I apologise for tagging you guys again. I urge you all to read the TWs and CWs because this series as a whole is just dark. As always, my Ask Box is open for any requests or just a conversation. Please remember to take care of yourselves, and enjoy. As always, I would love to see your thoughts in the comments :).
TW: Substance abuse (alcohol, smoking), small mention of mass murder and a reunion with abusive lover.
Summary: Saira Uchiyama. His past had caught up to him in the form of a familyâ Touya Todoroki had no family but Dabi could not deny the existence of his. The existence of a family that had driven him to search for a name he had never even heard of. Dabi's fragile world unravelled; every single thread forced him to confront the consequences of his actions. Was it even her? The one he had beat and shut out of his life? Dabiâs mind hurt, because it finally intertwined with the realisation of the irreparable damage he had caused.
It was the first thing that was ever made for him, and only him.Â
He never had to share it.Â
The material was light; he could move quickly without the weight dragging him down.Â
The material was heat-resistant, so he didnât have to worry about incinerating his clothes during a fight.Â
His clothes allowed him to let go. Dabi could explore the forbidden fruits of his full potential because the material allowed heat to escapeâ because of the fabricâs âenhanced breathabilityâ or something. He never paid attention. But it worked, so he always had it on.Â
Dabi made his way up to the roof, ignoring the small cries of his name from the distance. It wasnât on purpose thoughâ he couldnât concentrate on anything else. His mind had to work hard to think about nothing. Because if his conscience took over, his chest would collapse.Â
There wasnât anything left inside of him anymore. Thatâs what he had recited every waking day of his life as Dabi. But God, he needed a cigaretteâ to fill that hollow feeling inside of him.Â
A few long puffs always did the trick. Although it felt best when he was on the roof, legs hanging off the ledge.Â
One of his favourite hobbies was to look at the city under the glistering stars.Â
Yokohama never slept. The little toy cars had small people that were always going somewhere. Their blinking red lights mirrored the sea of stars on the bumpy road. At such a distance, where cars disappeared from one end to the other, that journey seemed so mindless. Yet still, everything felt like⌠like it was still in place. As if everything about this world was truly intentional.Â
Dabi dragged a longer puff, throwing his head back, succumbing to the gentle breeze and his thoughts.Â
But in the end, you couldnât make out any face, let alone their identity. Everything became insignificant. All that mattered was the action.Â
Dabi could distinguish between a walking figure and a jogging figure. Whether they were alone or with others.Â
But in the end, everything else was insignificant when he was above them all.Â
So far up, that if he fellâ right nowâ he wouldnât come back.Â
Anyone could push him off. Â
âThere you are!âÂ
Dabi grimaced. His soothing bubble had been forcefully broken, and he was dragged back to reality. He had his suspicions on who it was.Â
âI thought we could use a drink or two.â
His eyes glowered at the approaching figure. He could never be left alone. But when the bottle of scotch was handed to him, the interruption wasnât too bad after all. Dabi jerked his head towards the empty space beside him.Â
He could hear careful steps approaching, then cautious shuffling beside him.Â
Had he stolen a glance in his peripheral vision, he could watch the gentle breeze tease her hair, sweeping it left and right.Â
He felt a chaste glance on his face.Â
There was a thin, yet strong wall between them. It was thin enough to talk throughâ although it left no room for subtlety. It was thin enough for them to warm each other. But if they tried to cross it, theyâd have to break it down, and crush the other under the weight of the wall.Â
There was a lingering sense of emptiness that filled the night sky.Â
Empty smiles, empty vessels.Â
She drew in a breath, but no words followed, as though she had forgotten how to speak.
âToday wasâŚâ she started, only to falter off into silence, her hands rubbing at her arms.Â
Dabi had his overcoat for a very long time.Â
It was the first thing that was ever made for him. And only him.Â
He never had to share it.Â
But it felt way too heavy today. And despite the gale tightening its frosty clutch, Dabi could feel his body heating up.Â
âThe plan was successfulâ, Dabi replied flatly, âthatâs all we need to care aboutâ.Â
He pushed his discarded jacket towards her. She slipped it around her shoulders.
The Leagueâs attack on downtown Esuha was broadcasted globally, and they had finally reached the headlines of every news article.Â
âBloodshed Strikes Downtown Esuha as Villains Unleashed Devastating Attacksâ
After years of failed plans, the League of Villains had finally succeeded.Â
No man, no woman, no child was left. But it was all worth it.Â
Wasnât it?Â
Their plan was the highlight of every media discussion.
Dabi took a larger sip of his drink, bathing under the serene wave which washed over his inhibitions.Â
And the wall between them felt thinner and weaker.Â
âDâya think your mom would ever sacrifice herself for you?âÂ
The vivid images of fresh blood and visceral screams haunted their mind. Â
âWhat did that woman say again?â Dabi asked, his voice cracking, ââtake me, but please, leave my baby aloneâ... Thatâs what she said right?âÂ
Both of their eyes lowered. The alcohol and the little food he had consumed was kicking against his stomach lining, irritating his abdominal grafts.Â
ââShe has a long life ahead of her. Please, please, donât kill her pleaseââ, Dabi heard a sniffle. âThatâs what she said before weâŚâ Â
He felt sick.Â
âThatâs what we do, doll.â
He met the pain in her eyes. They were a mirror.Â
Dabi clenched his jaw before looking away.Â
She did too.
Dabi began biting his fingernails, and her hands fidgeted with the glass.Â
And then they looked at each other again, somehow closer than they were in the beginning.Â
âI donât know if my mom would ever do that for me⌠But, I-hmâŚâ
A dry chuckle followed in a feeble attempt to humour the situation.Â
But Dabi finished her unspoken sentence.Â
âBut you would, right? For your child,â he asked, furrowing his eyebrows and squinted, trying to make out some of the writing on the tall buildings afar.Â
âAny mom would do that for her child.âÂ
âDidnât you just say th-â
âAny good mom wouldâ.Â
No one spoke. But they shared a knowing look, before averting them back to the vastness of Yokohama.Â
âBut to be honestâŚâ She took another sip of her drink. âIf I had a baby, Iâd never live in Musutafu.âÂ
Dabi let out a snort, thus earning a playful shove in return.Â
âOh yeah? Then where would you live, fucking Minato City?â
It was her turn to snort.Â
âYou think Iâd live in a rich neighbourhood to avoid being a target of criminals and villains?â She scoffed, slurring out her words. âI know Iâm the newbie but you have to give me some credit, Dabi.â
He rolled his eyes, yet they still urged her to continue.Â
She thought for a moment, her gaze wandering off into the distance, before she continued again.Â
âThereâs this place, just outside of here. Itâs called Yosai. Itâs this remote residential area. And, um. It takes around 30 minutes minimum, to find any markets, or- or any offices or clubs, and you know, all that stuff. I think, for most people, itâs like- really boring. And thatâs why itâs so isolated. No one even thinks of going there because thereâs literally nothing. Thereâs a park, and a local schoolâ I think, but thereâs no one. Nothing. Thereâs these houses- a lot of them! A bunch of houses with no one to live in themâ.Â
It was weird, to be talking, uninterrupted, for this long.Â
âI guessâ, she shrugged a bit, blinking a few times. âRecently, people have started building roads and stuff for cars now. So they can actually do something. But yeah. Zero reported crimes and itâs been there for a few decades. So yeah, if I had a family, Iâd go thereâ.Â
She looked intently at Dabi, who didnât say anything.Â
But he moved closer, leaning forward, sitting upright. He scanned her jittering hands before searching in his pant pocket. He raised his eyebrows at the cigarette in his hands. She nodded. So he lit it, pressed the ends to his lips and inhaled before giving it to her.Â
He watched her lips touch the cigarette. Where his lips were.Â
âThereâs actually this property under her maiden name- my momâs. Thereâs still some legal stuff I need to sort out before it actually becomes mine. Itâs like this, itâs so stupid, because itâs like obviously none of us use that maiden name anymore. But because of that they canât give it to us. I donât even know⌠But I guess itâs nothing too difficultâ.Â
âAhâ. That was all he could say. But when he peered into her expectant eyes, there was a sudden need to elaborate. Anything better than âahâ at least.
Dabi felt dizzy.Â
âUmm⌠What's your momâs maiden name?âÂ
When his delayed voice finally caught up to him, Dabi winced.
âFuckâ, he muttered. It was a stupid question, but he wanted to make sure that she knew he was listening.Â
âItâs Uchiyama.âÂ
They were closer, breaths intertwining with each other under the watchful eye of the moon.Â
-
There werenât any buses that travelled from Musutafu to Yosai. Dabi made his journey by foot.Â
Thus, during this four day journey, Dabi became well acquainted with people.
And he noticed that a lot of people in Japan had blue eyes. After the emergence of quirks, blue became a common colour for many. The truly rare ones were pink, or purple now. Â
But Dabiâs eyes⌠they were different.Â
His eyes.Â
They were handpicked from the colours in the cerulean depths of the stormy sea. Whispers of secrets remained untoldâ thatâs why no one could have the eyes that he had.Â
Never.Â
They were gleamingâ echoing the beauty of the lights in the North. Depending on how you looked at them, they were teal, or sapphire. One thing was indisputableâ the arctic chill theyâd give when heâd pierce into your soul was breathtaking.Â
His eyes.Â
They were simply breath-taking.Â
So when he towered over a small frame, gaze lowered, he could not explain the way his heart forgot to beat when he stared into a perfect replica of his eyes.Â
With each beat, lost time unfolded in front of him.Â
And he noticed the slight difference in the silent expanse that he had gazed into.Â
There was an innocent reflection of the North Star twinkling in their genuine, rolling waves. Dabiâs eyes were an abandoned lighthouse.Â
But, what alarmed him the most, was when those flawless replications turned frozen. Dark.Â
Petrified.Â
Dabi's heart ached as those eyes formed fog and mist, obstructing him from reaching the truth that was hidden beyond the plane of sight.Â
His knees surrendered under the accumulating guilt of his past. And so his tears fell, trying to escape the grief and strain his weak body had repressed for so long.Â
âHoney, are you okay? Whoâs at the door?â
Icy tendrils spiked through him, and his breath was captured without a fight. In the wake of realisation, his body signalled all the alarms they could, telling himâ no, begging him to run, but, his blood had turned to ice, and he succumbed in the paralysing grip of his inevitable fate.Â
âSana, are you okayâŚâÂ
He heard the voice taper away, followed by a sharp clink of a metal spoon. His laden head fixed itself downwards in shame, guilt, fearâŚÂ Â
âDabiâŚ?â Those words drifted out in a hushed tone. As if they were trying to protect the young girl, who now hid behind her mother.Â
He braced himself for the hardest task he would ever have to face.
And in that split second, his breath had returned, and he let out a short exhale when he finally saw that face materialise from his past.Â
Y/N.Â
It was you. Saira Uchiyama.Â
After 6 years, 8 months, and 19 days of navigating through the circular journey of denial, anger, bargaining, and depression, Dabi finally had the chance to reach the beacon of acceptance.Â
His shoulders slumped, as short breaths hiccuped through the dark caverns of his chest.Â
He had finally found you.Â
And he had finally found the end to his coveted quench, which yearned for a solace, only to be found in your longing embrace.Â
Softly, a bewildered whisper escaped his lips, barely denting the silence around them.
âDollâŚ?âÂ
Dabi watched as the maturer skin scrunched together, deep lines frowned at him. As the tenderness in your heart had to be locked away inside an untouchable crevice in your body.Â
You pushed your daughter behind you, blocking Dabiâs protesting hands before they touched her.
âSweetie, I need you to go upstairs okayâ, you ordered sternly.Â
âMommy, heâs scaring m-âÂ
âSana. You need to go upstairs. Lock the door and close your windows.âÂ
Sana. Â
Her name was a painful reminder of the blank pages he had failed to fill as her father. How could he have written anything?Â
He didnât even know what the title was.Â
âNever fucking come near my family againâ.Â
Those blank pages began to rip.Â
âYou disgusting freakâ.Â
The blank pages had burned to ashes, and Dabi was left outside on the suburban patio of a perfect neighbourhood.Â
Maybe, if he found a place to wash his face, he could blend in with the garbage.Â

Summary: One argument led to anotherâ the foundation of your family was built upon suffering and sacrifice. Secrets were unveiled, revealing the true intentions of your father, the lingering wounds of the past stinging harder than any cut has ever. With tension reaching a breaking point, what happens when you confront your father, searching for the harsh truth, even if it leads to a devastating decisionâ you will never be the same again. He will never be the same again.Â
A pang struck through your heart as your fatherâs laboured breaths increased, tailing off in steady wheezes that only grew louder.Â
âDadâŚâ you whispered, closing your eyes. âDad, I didnât m-â
Your voice cracked, succumbing to the hot tears which burned against your cheeks. Emotions flooded your head, as though they had been waiting to escape from the dam of truth that you had to silence to protect the peace in your family. The pressure had built up and that dam had finally broken in the most irreparable way possible.Â
Shame hammered your mind, delivering blunt throbs as you watched your dad clutching his frail chest in agony.Â
Guilt drilled poison into your veins as your father struggled to stand upâ his sickly body unable to bear this pressure. His airways had been restricted, thus his once strong and proud chest had nothing to show but a vacant cavity, struggling to hold itself up.Â
This living room had always been smallâ enough space just for the two of you. Dad and his little hero. It had always been you two, but today, this room was longer and narrower, as though mocking your sanity which had become a battlefield.Â
Would you protect your father and carry on living in this dollhouse family, of which the foundations were built off of your suffering.
Or would you protect yourself and destroy your relationship with the only family that you ever had.
The struggle had refused to forsakeâ silence had become your greatest enemy. It had left you alone with your screaming thoughts of doubt that deafened your conviction, leaving you straggled, naked, and vulnerable in the vast depths of your fears because what if.Â
What if Midoriya truly was better than you?Â
What if you truly were not worth it?
What if you had lost your rights to call yourself his daughter.Â
Forever.Â
You had lost everything to the ravenous beast which ruined everything you touched, and it wanted more. It wanted more, so it began making more noise, howling over the whispers of the wind, it howled over the ticking of the clock. It howled until nothing could be heard.Â
Silence.Â
Silence.Â
Silence.
It had become silent.Â
As though you were the only person in the room.Â
A sudden thud drew your attention to the floor.Â
Toshinori collapsed on the ground, and his eyes had gone blank, jaw slack. His ribs stuck out from under his skin, showing through his thin white t-shirt as his brassy cough filled his mouth with blood.
He urgently covered his mouth with his hands, forcing it shut but to no avail. It had already slipped past his hold, travelling down his neck, staining his shirt. A constant offender.
Your father began developing bloody coughs over three years ago. Yet every time you saw his chest heave and bleed, surges of nausea would creep up your veins, forcing you to leave.Â
âDad!âÂ
This was too much blood. It wasnât meant to be like this⌠The doctor said a few drops or so, maybe a teaspoon, but that was âhighly unlikelyâ. You watched as his white shirt became saturated, dizziness threatening to blur your vision. Â
But you could not see him like this. You didnât think twice before rushing to help himâ but you were stopped.Â
Toshinori raised his shaking hand immediately. You were halted, frozen in disbelief.Â
He put his hand back on the floor, taking a few breaths before pushing himself, warranting another step forward from you, another cry, but he just stopped you again. You could only watch as your father relied on his bony wrists to push himself up.Â
You could hear his shallow gasps for air, and his repressed coughsâ and all you could do was watch your fatherâs face contort in fatigue and ache. Toshinori had finally gotten up, but that look had not left his face as he pushed past you. You watched the limp in his leg as he hobbled towards the couch, slowly lowering himself onto the cushioned couch. His head slumped onto the head rest, limbs unfurling in exhaustion.Â
You were suspended in your head, unable to move past the questions which rung bright sirens.Â
You shouldnât have raised your voice at your own fatherâ the doctor had told you. Heâs injured, heâs getting older. He canât process such shocks like this anymore.
What was wrong with you?Â
But it couldnât have been just your fault⌠right? But then he pushed youâ maybe he didnât just noticeâ but what if he did it on pur-
âY/Nâ, your father had called for your name, but his eyes did not meet yours.Â
Instead, they looked past you.Â
Toshinori Yagi adopted Toshinori Y/N when she was five years old.Â
A decade after the first quirk was discovered, many adoption agencies in Musutafu began sorting children based off of a âranking systemâ.Â
Official documents stated that this case was first brought up in the Supreme Court due to an incident that had occurred in an orphanage near Musutafu, 26 years ago. It was a heartbreaking case of manslaughter that had taken place when six year old Chihiro Onoderaâ Quirk: Lava, accidentally murdered eight year old Honoka Sugoâ Quirk: Bubbles, during lunch time as they were play-fighting.Â
It did not take much convincing as this case had reached international news, thus the court immediately passed a bill on the separation of quirks preliminary based off of their strength and danger levels, which were to be evaluated on a scale of 1 to 5.Â
Nevertheless, this bill had struck a controversial match, becoming the largest contemporary topic that was disputed over in the past years.Â
Demonstrations, protests and violent public outrage reached its peak when leaked intel revealed that a lot of children began to go missing from Adoption Agencies under the radarâ they no longer had papers, as if their identities had been erased off of the face of this Earth.Â
Nanami Tomoda, Sae Ojima, Makoto Kanezakiâ these were some of the household names that had garnered petrifying national and international headlines:Â
Japan in Shock: Deadly Assault Rocks Nation's Sense of SecurityÂ
Aftermath of Brutal Assault Leaves Nation Grieving Chaos and Carnage
Not much was known about these young adults.Â
Apart from two things.Â
First.Â
They were not independent contractors. All of them could be traced back to some of the very few established, powerful, underground organisations.Â
And second.
They were all orphans, rated 5, who had been declared missing for ten or more years.
Toshinori Yagi adopted Toshinori Y/N when she was rated 5.Â
Toshinori Y/N lost her quirk at age ten.Â
You are rated 0.Â
Zero.
Toshinori took a deep breath before he spoke.Â
âI have raised you since you were five years old.â He still did not meet your eyes. âI raised you in hopes that you would become a strong, and powerful young lady.âÂ
He drew a breath inâ it was laced in disappointment.Â
âBut why does it feel, as though it has had no influence on you?â
Toshinori shifted both of his arms onto the couch rests, sitting tall.Â
âOne does not become a hero by winning every fight. Not everything is about a heroâs physical strength. A hero is made when they understand that retaliation only makes them the real villain.âÂ
Your fatherâs voice had deepened, and so did the dreadful pit in your stomach that sunk your resolve.Â
âA true hero understands that strength lies in the ability to rise above the pain. Because those who focus on what has been lostâ, he continued, lips twitching, as a faint, uncontrollable tremor laced his words in indisputable venomous contempt, âare either insane, or desperate for attention they know they will never get.â
Small muscles in your face began to twitch despite the heaviness that had been pulsed through your body, holding it in place, as you just stood there. Your eyes, once red and exposed, had no inhabitant, no focus.Â
A ghost town.Â
âA true hero is grateful. And recognises every bit of effort someone else put in order to get them to where they are now.âÂ
His gaunt eyes found yours, casting an unfamiliar chill in your body. They were sunken in, casting his gaze in dark shadowsâ an abyss impenetrable by light.Â
âYou got your quirk stolen, Y/N. But you cannot get that back anymore. But itâs been years, I expect at least some gratitude considering I did you a favour by adopting you.âÂ
He had left a clot that blocked your heart.
âBecause no one else would have wanted you.â
It is always the one closest to you that hurts you the most.Â
The man you called your father had waited until the last second to take the satisfaction of crushing your heart, flesh against flesh.Â
Humans evolved to gain resistance and immunity against everything that threatens their survival.
Therefore, living with this man only meant that you had to gain immunity against pain and humiliation, because that was the only thing that could guarantee your survival.Â
So when you shook off the heaviness in your lid and focused onto your fatherâs face, you could only lift the corners of your lip. Â
âIf you didnât want me. Someone else would have adopted me instead. Like you did. No papers, no nothingâ Iâd slip under the radar, at least Iâd still have my quirk, and end up on those headlines.â
âHow dare you?â he uttered, face contorted in malice.
âI was five. Thatâs why you adopted me. Donât deny itâÂ
Toshinori stiffened, his Adamâs apple bobbed up and down. His shoulders, broad and hubris, had become small and meek. You watched him contemplate: his eyes, vindictive and daring, were cast down, hiding amongst the Tatami flooring.Â
âMy childâŚâ he began, his voice softer. âAfter your quirk had been stolen, I could not risk making you the target again. Thatâs the reason I donât come to your events. Itâs because youâll become the target everyone goes for because they know youâre my daughterâ.
âTheyâll know?â your lips had pressed into a thin line. âLike how Midoriya knew I was your daughter? Like how the media knows?âÂ
In the stifling air, your dry laughter bounced off of the discomfort.Â
âDonât act like you arenât ashamed of me.âÂ
Your face had settled into a stone.Â
âItâs not about me being a target. Itâs about protecting your image.â
âMy daughter-â
âYou have lost the right to call me your daughter. If I was such a disappointment after my quirk was ripped away from me, why did you keep me? You could have sent me back. Why did you keep me, dad, why did you keep me!â
Those closest to you, leave irreparable wounds.Â
But there was a reason they were close to you. A reason that subsided in love, care, and hope.Â
Your crushed heart was surviving on its last breath, waiting to hear something that could revive it.Â
Toshinori lifted his head again, his eyes flickering behind you.Â
It locked onto an object that somehow gained more attention than you ever had in your entire life. You risked a look over your shoulder, only to see the picture of your father and Midoriya, smilingâalmost mockinglyâ back at you.Â
You knew what the answer was going to be.Â
âIâm beginning to question the same thing.â
A flat-line.Â
âWell if thatâs how you really feel, I have no obligation to stay here anymore.â
You drew your breath in, words suspended at the tip of your tongue.Â
âI wish you and your student the best of luck, All Might.â
