“My name is Gabriel Bradach actually. What about you?”
"Dr. Wilder, but you can call me Josiah if that makes you more comfortable, or if you just prefer first name basis."
norahdunne:
“No I guess you’re right, the infirmary is one place that shouldn’t be very popular with the patients. But you’re here if they need you, that’s what matters. The nurse’s station, now they just go there whenever they’re bored.”
"Well, it's my job to be here as a precaution." He smiled lightly, chewing idly on the end of his pen as she spoke. "I can imagine, you're sort of the infantry of the medical section."
beryl-wilson:
“Yeah uhm…they have me on this treatment but I don’t think s’workin’ anymore.”
"It's not working anymore? When did it stop?"
ivanka-harp:
“Um, yes. Uh..my stomach hurts. I might have eaten something wrong.” Terribly wrong maybe? Ivy bit her bottom lip and hoped she didn’t fuck it all up again.
"Do you know what you've eaten in the last 24 hours?" He frowned, rising to his feet and gesturing to her to follow him into the infirmary.
gabe-bradach:
“I can read the sign.. I was just trying to get used to where exactly everything is..”
"That's probably a very good idea. What's your name?"
norahdunne:
“Is it like a wild animal? Can it sense fear? That’s how I always assumed you had to approach it.” She chuckled at her own joke. “It’s great to meet you too Josiah. I think we’ll work together just fine.”
He frowned, remaining silent for a moment before shooting her a brief smile; he'd missed the joke, apparently, but then when did he ever catch them? "I'm sure we will. Although hopefully there won't be too much to do."
c3rise:
“I uh- Well, nothing really. I just got lost and ended up entering the wrong room… again. I’m sorry.”
"It's alright. Most of the doors look exactly the same anyway, it's an easy mistake to make."
norahdunne:
“I was just introducing myself to all the staff members! I’m Norah Dunne, the new nurse.” She smiled brilliantly to punctuate her name. “Crosswords were always too tough for me. My dad does them in pen, but he uses a dictionary too.”
"Oh. Well, it's nice to meet you. I'm Josiah - a doctor, hence the infirmary." He smiled briefly, eyes cast downwards, fixed on his crossword for a moment longer before he placed it aside to look at her. "They get easier; as soon as you do one you learn how to approach others."
gabe-bradach:
“I uh.. N-No.. I was just.. walking around..”
"Ah, I see. Well, this is the infirmary. Although I'm sure you can read the sign in future if you need to be here."
"No, you are not interrupting anything important. Just a crossword, did you need something?"
“Hey, I-I uh… I’m lost…”
"Where are you looking to go?"

ຟords continued to escape him. They had a way of doing that– they left him, at the worst of times. Right then, for instance. All he wanted was to ask the person before him one thing, and he couldn’t. His hand trembled from– weakness? physical issues? anxiety? He did not know, but it meant that he could not write - at least not legibly - so there was no way for him to question them.
Needless to say Josiah had noticed Grey seemed to be having issues communicating - something he could easily relate to, although for different reasons entirely. "Do you think typing on a phone would be easier than writing?" The best route for now seemed to be 'yes' or 'no' questions; questions that Grey could answer without any technological assistance. If that didn't work out, then it would appear to be yes/ no questions the entire time. But that was easy enough to deal with.
That's ainteresting, but I was referring to why you were given it. Like the origin of you being named.
"Oh, I have absolutely no idea. My mother probably just liked the sound of it. You'd have to ask her."
What's the origin of your name? (IC or OOC answer is fine :] )
“The name Josiah is a Hebrew baby name. In Hebrew it means 'Jehovah has healed', or 'God has healed'. The biblical figure Josiah became king of Judah at eight after his father was assassinated.”
“Everything – I swear everything. I just don’t think I’m ever going to get a good nights sleep like, ever again.”
"I can give you sleeping pills, if you'd like. They should help you get off to sleep nicely. Would you like to take them now or tonight?"
