im just thinking about how powerful it would have been if jason made a cameo in pjo.

and I don't mean any of the "new halfbloods" that made up the seven would have been a cool cameo (i guess they could have been cool) but if jason had a made a cameo? the power that would hold.

and specifically if he intercated with Percy only.

can you imagine percy is fighting at the battle of Manhattan and he's like slashing through one monster but that means he doesn't see the monster coming up behind him and literally as it's about to kill him Jason just comes barelling in, flicking his coin up so it turns into a sword in midair and then just fucking ramming it through the monster.

imagine percy being like, "thanks man, that was close."

and jason, in his proud Roman colours and serious expression, just dips his head and says, "no problem dude"

imagine them looking at each other, trying to figure out if they know one another. because I've never seen you at camp? but you can see the monsters so you can't be mortal? but then what are you? wait are you part of the Egyptian side? no Roman? wait ROMAN?

just imagine them working together very briefly and realizing what they can do together. like before they know each other's parentage and the subsequent rivalry, before they know about the leadership they both wield and the threat they could pose to their camps. or if they looked at each other and immediately felt some tension. like "can I really trust you?" they're both protective of their own.

imagine them losing their memories but upon seeing each "there's just something about him that's so familiar".

i don't know I think them meeting before the whole Hera and HOO debacle would have been life changing. it would have set Jason up. it could have established a friendship or a rivalry since Rick wanted it so bad

i think them meeting would have done one (of many) very integral thing: it would have connected pjo with hoo. so instead of using Percy and Annabeth as the connections (which meant they felt separate from the seven) it connected the plots and made it dele like their stories were inevitably weaved into that of the five other demigods
