🧑🏽🍼 Caregiving 101: The Basics 🧑🏽🍼
Hey kiddos! Over the years I’ve had lots of new CGs ask me for tips on what they can do to be the best CG they can be. I decided to turn that question into a post for y’all. Being a CG is something that takes time and experience, so we’ll just be going over the basics that every CG should know!
What is a Caregiver?
A caregiver (CG for short) is a person who cares for and looks after a regressor while they are small!
Can I only be someone’s Caregiver if I am dating them?
Not at all! Not every regressor and CG are in a relationship. Sometimes a CG and regressor are just friends, this is called a platonic CG!
Is it easy to be a Caregiver?
The short answer is “No”. Being a CG is a lot of responsibility and it is not a task that someone should take lightly. Caring for another person can be hard sometimes, it can be emotionally taxing. This isn’t to say that being a CG is impossibly difficult, but if you aren’t willing to make a commitment to your regressor and take on the responsibility of caring for them then you should re-consider being a Caregiver.
Do I have to be a CG 24/7?
Absolutely not! It’s unresonable to expect a CG to be in a perpetual state of caring all day every day. Just like most regressors are not regressed 24/7, most CGs are not in caring mode 24/7 either. The most amount of caring is done while the regressor is regressed, and when they are not regressed the relationship dynamic is however the two of you want it to be.
What are some good traits to have as a CG?
While the best qualities to have depend on the person you are caring for, it’s always important for a CG to be patient, emapthetic, respectful, and willing to learn! It’s also very important that you and your regressor set clear boundaries with one another and respect those boundaries at all times.
How can I be the best CG I can be?
Being a CG is not an exact science, every caring relationship is unique to the CG and the regressor. However, no matter what it is vitally important that you and your regressor communicate. I’m going to say it again just because of how important it is; no matter what you and your regressor need to communicate.
No one knows how to care for your regressor better than they do. If you don’t know how to care for them or you feel like you could be doing better, you should talk to your regressor. Ask them how they want to be cared for, ask them if they feel well cared for, no one will be able to answer those types of questions but your regressor.
Is anything else that’s important to know?
There’s lots to being a CG, and it’s impossible to fit it all into one post, so be sure to remember that there’s more than is covered here. With that being said it’s very important to remember to take care of yourself too! You may have a regressor to care for but you can’t care for them if you aren’t caring for yourself too. If you ever start to feel worn down or burnt out then let your regressor know and take some time for yourself. Your well-being is important too, don’t neglect yourself just to care for someone else!
🌱 Tips for New Cg’s!! 🌱
☀️🐸☀️🐸☀️🐸☀️🐸☀️🐸☀️🐸☀️🐸☀️🐸☀️🐸
first, let’s start off with what a caregiver is! a caregiver is someone who cares for an age regressor/dreamer! they may sometimes set little rules or goals for them as well! they make sure the regressor is taking care of themselves (like drinking water, or doing school work when they should!) or reassuring and comforting them when they’re not feeling too great! caregivers can also have rewards or punishments. a caregiver can be a friend, a partner, or even a trusted family member! sometimes, regressors use certain nicknames to address their cg, such as: “mommy/daddy, papa, mama, bubby, big bear,” etc! (here’s a list of cg nicknames i made!)
becoming someone’s caregiver requires lots of communication!! every regressor is different, and they all have different needs! be sure to discuss what your regressor needs from you! maybe they just want some reassurance every now and then! or help with regressing and staying small! or to be praised for doing things like homework so they can feel motivated to do it the next time as well!
rules: rules can be very helpful when taking care of a regressor! however, some regressors might not want rules! be sure to discuss this with them first! again, every regressor has different needs to meet! like how you might not want to punish a regressor for not going to bed on time when they have insomnia! this is why it’s very important to discuss it with them beforehand!! with that out of the way, here are some rule ideas!
1. brush your teeth at least twice a day!
2. no sweets before bedtime!
3. try to drink enough water everyday!
4. always hold my hand when crossing the street!
5. ask before eating sweets!
6. bedtime at 10:00pm!
7. no saying bad words!
8. always be honest!
9. eat at least 2 meals a day!
10. make your bed every morning!
punishments: now, what do you do if your regressor isn’t following any of your rules? some caregivers use punishments! (and i cannot stress enough how important it is to talk to your regressor about them BEFORE you give them any punishments!!) again, punishments should never be physical!! and you should never take away a comfort item as punishment! another important thing to note is that you should never punish them for something they can’t control! always talk to them about it! communication is very important! with that being said, here are some punishment ideas:
1. early bedtime
2. time out
3. limited screen time for tv or other electronics
4. no sweets
5. taking away or lengthening the time it takes to revive a reward. (which i will get into right now!)
rewards: for regressors who follow the rules, or reach certain goals, you may want to give them a reward! rewards are great! they may motivate your regressor to do things they need to do like chores or homework! and they’ll encourage them to follow the rules you have set for them as well! examples of how a reward may work is “if you drink enough water for 3 days, i’ll buy you a new toy!” or “if you finish all your homework tonight, then tomorrow, we’ll take a trip to the library!” something i see often, but isn’t usually brought up is when your regressor is truly trying their hardest!! they may be working on as much homework as they can but still unable to finish it. please be sure to recognize their effort!! tell them they still did an amazing job for doing their best! in cases like this, i believe they still deserve a rewards! here are some reward ideas! :
1. a new toy/game!
2. a sticker!
3. extra time before bedtime!
4. something yummy!
5. a trip to the park!
activities: here are some fun things you can do with them! remeber that everyone has different interests and find joy and entertainment in different things!!
1. have a tea party/ picnic!
2. help them make a cool fort!
3. have a disney movie marathon!
4. take them to the park or a zoo!
5. color pictures for each other!
6. play some video games with them!
7. do some cooking or baking together!
8. having fun with bubbles!
9. go out for a walk! make a list of things for your regressor to find on the way!
10. play games like hide and seek!
if you didn’t know, regressors can regress to different ages! punishments, rules and rewards should reflect that! for example, you can’t punish a two year old for not making their bed! they may not know how! and you can’t give a two year old a new game that’s rated 17+ as a reward! so be sure to discuss age and what rules, punishments, and rewards work best for your regressor!
important things to take note of:
• learn your regressor’s triggers if they have any. this is very important!!
• treat them like you would a little kid! they are not acting little. they are literally and truly in the mindset of a little kid!! for instance, be impressed if they show you a drawing they made!
• do not ignore your regressor’s emotions. if they cry over something that seems silly, they are still sad. no matter how “small” the issue is. give them proper care and comfort.
• be patient!! some regressors can’t verbally communicate when regressed to a certain age! and that may also be the case if they are neurodivergent! be sure to talk to them about this! maybe learn simple sign language! <3
• do not neglect your regressor. not even as a punishment. while you do not have to be in contact with them 24/7, it’s nice to have a small heads up if you can!
• learn their stuffie’s names! this goes such a long way!! stuffies are super important to some of us!! and learning their names tells us you’ve been paying attention!
i hope this guide helps any new caregivers!! if you have any questions, i’d be happy to answer as best as i can!! and remeber, COMMUNICATION IS IMPORTANT!! <33

new CG guide (*^▽^*)
this guide is for new cgs in the agere/cglre community!
first of all, being a cg is a very big responsibility and it means you’re going to be taking a lot of care of your little. remember they’re in the mindset of a child, think of it as you’re taking care of a child.
there are many things you can do for your little! such as
baby talking them (huge huge part of being a cg! talk to them as if they are their little age range), calling them pet names (they make littles melt), learning about their stuffies !!! (remembering their names is really important!), learn what they like (tv shows, fav stuffies, comfort items, games), do “big kid” things for them (tying shoes, ordering food, etc), engage in what they do while regressed (watching shows, play with stuffies, read them stories, cool for them)
checking up on your little is a very important part of having one! make sure you set rules for your little and check up each day on if they’re following them. rules should be helpful for the health of littles, such as eating or drinking enough or taking meds. make sure the rules are reasonable and have equally as reasonable punishments. remember! punishments should NEVER be physical! punishments should only also be helpful to the health of your little.
I finally glued everything into the library room box!! Can you guess how many books there are?

🌷 i like to headcannon that Telemachus started regressing after Odysseus made it home after the 20 years purely subconsciously ..
🌷 BCS THINK ABOUT IT -- Odysseus left like at the very most 6 months after Telemachus was born, and missed ALL of his life until then. Part of his newborn phase, baby phase, toddler phase, kid, teen, even a couple of his young adult years.
🌷 it just started happening subconsciously a couple months after Odysseus had gotten home after the 20 years, first it started with slurred speech, not being able to form words properly, or spell or write properly, and it progressed to full on regression. To as early as toddler years like 2 or 3.
🌷 Telemachus eventually figured out what was going on, because it only ever happened around Odysseus. The safe space he had been yearning for for almost 2 decades. And when Ody found out what was happening, he was THRILLED.
🌷 Considering he felt guilty he missed out on the majority of his son's life up until he got back from war, he was ecstatic to be able to treat Telemachus like a little kid and even young toddler, and get to relive those years in a way.
🌷 Odysseus would make wooden toys and figures for him, make him snacks that he traditionally had as a kid, even go as far as to hold him in his lap from time to time (and considering i like to think Ody was shorter than both Penelope and Telemachus, this made Penelope giggle a little everytime she walked in on them cuddling and then she'd eventually join them.)
🌷 And when Penelope was around ohhhhhh she had the time of her life. Cause while she was there for all of Telemachus's life, she was thrilled to get to relive some of his younger years with Odysseus there this time around. And she'd often recreate some of the things that they did when Telemachus was actually a kid. She even brought out some of his old blankets that she had made Telemachus.
🌷 AND ATHENA OHHH DONT EVEN GET ME STARTED .. her favorite nickname for Telemachus before he started was "little wolf," but while he's regressed it was "baby wolf" and she had the time of her LIFE being an auntie figure to Telemachus. One thing she loved most was shape shifting into an owl and flying around his room, doing fun spins and turns and flips in the air to make him laugh and giggle. At the start, she didn't know what to do. She was kinda like that one sound, "..want a beer?" "He's four!" "WELL IDK WHAT AM I SUPPOSED TO DO WITH HIM?" But she eventually got the hang of it and she loved being there to protect the little prince. Both when he was and wasn't regressed.
🌷 And i don't think Telemachus regressing would last for forever, really just a few years as both him and Ody relived the years they missed with each other. And over time Telemachus gradually stopped regressing and while it made Ody emotional (this man is emotional around his family you cannot tell me otherwise), he accepted it obvi and it was kind of bittersweet when Telemachus stopped regressing.
I LOVE THAT IDEA SO MUCH WJABDHAJ AHHH EPIC HEADCANNONS RAHHH

Does anyone have any agere safe discord servers or anything? Trying to find more places to hang without constantly being reminded of my exes lmfao
So fun fact about me, I can make rpg maker games and renpy visual novels, but I’ve never necessarily completed a project… But I think it might be fun to try and make an agere friendly game that’s like— Like if you aren’t an age regressor you wouldn’t exactly know, but it’d def have silly items like blocks or crayons and stuff. Kind of like a farming game but less farming and more like getting stuff to help build up the cozy world.
I could do farming but have it more based on timers/no need to manage them so you can focus on doing cute happy silly things.
aagghhh,, i wanna be teeny so bad but i don’t have anyone to baby meee,, :,>
Caregiver and Little Applications
Caregiver Application
Little Application
Here are the applications for both my cg and my little. I will leave applications open until June 15th.
PLEASE READ BEFORE APPLYING:
Both should be between 17-21 and strictly platonic (plz don't hit on me; not opposed to pet names /p)
Not only do I have a busy schedule, I don't regress super often, so it should be somewhat casual and I may not always be immediately available to help.
I'd also rather just talk with a cg until I feel comfortable enough to regress with them! If a little wants to regress with me right away though, they totally can! I really want to be a cg and help somebody while making a new friend in the process.
I'll reach out to everybody who sends in a form whether I choose them or not. I'm happy to help littles too if they need a cg to step in, even if I can't be their cg all the time.
MUST BE SFW!!!!
I am both a play and a vent regressor and I can regress voluntarily or involuntarily. My regression age is typically between 4-7 years, but no younger than 4.
Caregiver and little could maybe be the same person? I used to want them separate, but I guess it could be okay!
I would not want to share images of myself or share my location at all. I may be willing to do voice chat if I feel comfortable after a while though! I care a lot about my safety and very little of my irls know about my regression for again safety reasons.
