I’ve noticed this trend in the fandom where people portray Jayvik’s working dynamic as this kind of mentor-student thing, with Viktor being the cautious, genius guide gently reining in Jayce, the reckless, hands-on gremlin, but NO. That’s WRONG.

They’re both absolute disasters. They built a tea corner right next to all their sockets and cables. Neither has ever looked at a safety manual in their life. Their collective self-preservation level is negative five. They can whip up the most complex, groundbreaking invention in ridiculously little time, but the moment they turn it on, it’s either exploding, on fire, or seconds away from both. Heimerdinger wasn’t their supervisor, he was their babysitter. It’s a MIRACLE they didn’t accidentally kill themselves between act 1 and 2 of s1. I mean, guys, it’s canon that Viktor once said “imma do illegal experiments now”, and all Jayce did in response was say “whatever makes you happy pookie 🥰” and make sure the Council wouldn’t ban it.

And here’s the thing: their brilliance and all their achievements come exactly from how they constantly push boundaries. This isn’t “a sarcastic twink lectures his himbo colleague on how to use screwdrivers”. This is pure mad scientist x different font mad scientist. We were blessed with such a rare dynamic and we need to cherish it more

genuinely pissed at how my feel good show has shit on my very good day.

I mean, I haven't seen the episode (any maybe never will? only if the madney giffers post something that changes my mind ig?), only some of the scenes, but it's so sudden. The scene itself started with them about to go on a date. But by the end they break up?

WTF?

I haven't had such a physical reaction to a show in years. Is this really going to end? In just one scene after everything with no warning? It's so left field it feels so wrong.

More Muppet Princess Bride fan art! I didn't feel a need to Muppetify this line at all, I feel like Piggy saying this and then cutting to Kermit's trademark eyes is funny enough. Hopefully ya'll agree!

I spent way too much time wondering if I should change "Farm boy" to "Farm frog" but farm boy just sounded better.

I intended to draw Kermit with the same expression Westley has in the film, but it's hard to resist giving Kermit at least a slight smile. So let's just say he's smiling because he genuinely appreciates Piggy's compliment.

For a college class we watched a Black Mirror episode Crocodile (which takes place in Iceland, and was relatively flat.) We were talking about the setting and how to related to the genre (which was thriller btw). Everyone was saying that the flatness unnerved them (as most of them lived in the region, where there's lots of trees.), and how it represented the character's isolation and paranoia (from what I remember).

My dumbass was confused on how it was unnerving, because I'm a prairies girl and this is normal. Instead I said it provided security for the main character because she could see if people were watching her.

Guess there's a reason for that.
