This is a perfect example of how women cannot gain enough power to get out of being oppressed by the patriarchy
Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum was seemingly assaulted by a man as she toured the streets nation's capital city on Tuesday, Nov. 4
I know people on here are dedicated to pretending there's a certain kind of privileged woman who doesn't experience misogyny anymore so they can justify their anti-feminism, but a woman can literally be the most powerful person in a country, and men will still try to put her back in her “place” by assaulting her.
The article also says she tried to de-escalate the situation at first and offered to take a picture with that man. First of all, where the fuck was her security?? Secondly, notice how women are conditioned to be non-confrontational with men, even when they’re sexually violent against us.
We are not mean enough to men.
jkrs tweet is so sad, but so firm and exactly what i expected her to have thought tbh

Dust if you must, by Rose Milligan (September 1998)
Dust if you must, but wouldn't it be better
To paint a picture, or write a letter,
Bake a cake, or plant a seed;
Ponder the difference between want and need?
Dust if you must, but there's not much time,
With rivers to swim, and mountains to climb;
Music to hear, and books to read;
Friends to cherish, and life to lead.
Dust if you must, but the world's out there
With the sun in your eyes, and the wind in your hair;
A flutter of snow, a shower of rain,
This day will not come around again.
Dust if you must, but bear in mind,
Old age will come and it's not kind.
And when you go (and go you must)
You, yourself, will make more dust.
Genuinely whenever I hear someone talk about how they use AI to summarize papers or write emails or messages for them or to create anything I lose all respect for them. Like truly you can't even bother to participate in the act of living and interacting with other people?
If you use AI, know that I am laughing at you and think you're pathetic.
People talk about AI as making them more efficient or eliminating the boring tasks, but at what point are you no longer even existing or interacting with anything.
If you skip past every single point of friction in your life, you eventually stop having one.
early book 3 asami is so funny. she hears korra broke up with mako and within two weeks she's swooping in flipping her hair and offering excessively fancy airships to impress her. she has absolutely thought korra was hot since the moment they met and she is not about to miss her chance to shoot her shot
Asami is fighting for her life:
Happy 13th Anniversary, Korra!
