I know this is overanalyzing things, but I still think the books chosen for Rory and Jess to be shown reading in the Revival are very interesting.

Rory is reading Anna Karenina, which (in addition to being one of her favorite books) happens to be about a desperately unhappy woman who is having an affair...

And Jess is reading one volume of a memoir, entitled A Man In Love.

Oh my goodness Rory met Dean in highschool and he was her highschool boyfriend, Rory met Logan in college and he was her college boyfriend, Rory met Jess in her home, and he is her home! ❤️ That was definitely intentional by the writers Jess will always be the one for Rory! ❤️ Jess and Rory are endgame I don't care what no one says he is her home! 🥰💞

OMG YES! I love it. That is a perfect realization. It's so freaking TRUE! Also will add that both she met Dean & Logan in transitional places in her life. High school & college are places you graduate from & never return. You never graduate from your home. Home is where you live, it's where your family live. You may move, but your family stays with you. They stay in your life. So Jess will always be a part of her life, of her ADULT life.

All of this ^^^ explains them so perfectly! Very poetic. Also can I point out that both Dean and Logan broke up with her for not being enough for them. Dean for not being able to say she loved him back and Logan for not being able to accept his proposal. Jess never actually broke up with her and when he left it wasn't because she wasn't enough bit because he felt like he couldn't be enough for her.

The reason you make friends at work is because you see the same people everyday. If you want to make friends as an adult, go to the same cafe every week, or go to a calligraphy class. If you don’t want to leave the house you can just go to the same twitch stream everyday that’s what I do, and I’ve made friends there. If you are a familiar face in a place where people share your interests, you’ll make friends.

Most girls lose their hyman waaaay before they have intercourse for the first time (ie. Hourseback riding, cheerleading, gymnastics, RIDING A BICYCLE). No one deserves to think they TOOK something from a woman who willingly is being sexual in ANY way! Plus, what makes one sexual act enough to lose a part of yourself? If you choose to believe in virginity please try and remember you're not losing something but instead GIVING something to someone! And it doesn't have to be something you never give to another. It's a piece of you and a piece of someone else that are merging.

Things we should do in English class instead of just Shakespeare:

Compare & contrast a Rick Riordan book, an original Greek myth, and/or a retelling like Song of Achilles

Instead of talking about poetic devices, look for imagery, symbolism, and color theory in comics/graphic novels/Webtoons (Lore Olympus is a great example!!)

Analyze a Broadway musical instead of a Shakespeare play. (There’s SO MUCH to unpack in Dear Evan Hansen)

Have half the class read a book, and the other half listen to the audiobook. Do the audiobook kids have more similar interpretations? How much does the inflection and (unsaid) thoughts of the narrator influence ones takeaway?
