IT’S FINALLY DONE!!! I’ve been working on this on and off for what feels like a year now. And now it’s done! This is basically a “pilot” (introductory video)for the ONE PIECE BAND AU my friends ( @hell2electricboogaloo & @nina-a-pines ) and I have. It’s not to say it’s official but I just like animating and wanted to make something for all of us. Plus I want to get back into storyboarding/animatics. I’ve been busy with my comic “Ate My HEART” on webtoon. But Back to the one piece grind!!
If you want to see more Band AU Content check out the masterdoc on my page (will be added soon)
—OC’s (Anzu and Lyra) belong to @hell2electricboogaloo —
———this is a collaborative AU with @nina-a-pines & @hell2electricboogaloo ———
I made these a HOT while ago(like a year and change) but now feel like posting!
This top comic includes Anzu (the OC) and Perona! In this AU, they’re both adopted daughters of Geko Moria, the retired classic rockstar. Growing up, they both wanted to be like their dad, but while Anzu has this feeling to prove herself to her dad by doing it in her own, Perona embraces the “Nepo-baby” and joins with her dad as she creates a band with his old bandmates. Becoming a hit overnight. In doing this, she basically ignores the family to go on tours and live the lifestyle of a rockstar. This makes Anzu feel isolated cause she feels her sister abandoned her.
They end up not speaking for a few years. Anzu starts her high school band with the girls, while Perona is opening for big bands.
But it isn’t all sunshine and rainbows. Persona’s band, consisting of Kumashi, Absalom, Cindry, and Hogback, has its troubles. And when Perona finds out that some of her bandmembers are being creeps to their young female fans, and Hogback is an abusive partner to Cindry. Perona leaves the band with Kumashi and Cindry, going to create a new band without those weirdos. It’s not till she meets Tashigi, a young musician and DJ, does the band come together!
And for this!! This is a Sanly comic about the 2 guitarist of each other bands (The Strawhats & -unnamed band-) Lyra hides her face because of her stage fright. She’d rather work behind the scenes, writing the music and backup vocals while she plays the lead guitar. She puts a lot of pressure on herself to be perfect, and when she sees Sanji, she can’t help but be inspired and want to be like him. Meanwhile, Sanji sees this faceless dude who rips on the guitar and gets the lady’s and feels jealous. They both envy each others abilities, which later leads to them bonding over music and falling for each other.(Will make that comic another day)
Also this comic takes place during the Fishman Island Arc, when the whole crew is back together. Anya has spent the last 2 years on an island training with a former CP9 agent (for more information go to the master post). So now instead of being scared of fighting cause she had no experience, she has the training of an assassin. Her change in mentality is, someone is trying to hurt me and my friends, I have to protect them by any means necessary. So she switches from her old overthinking-self, to an apathetic fighting machine.
Also a theme about their relationship is Fearful v. Fearless.
Usopp is fearful of enemies, potential enemies, doesnt really trust the people around him. But Anya is super trusting of the people, to the point where if there’s an enemy, she wont know until they are actively trying to kill her.
So you just have Anya, with her new found freedom, trying to befriend everyone, and usopp having to get her out of dangerous situations.
And pre-timeskip, Anya and Usopp are kinda on the same page with fighting. Anya, who has never fought back in her life, is super scared cause she doesn’t want to hurt anyone. So she’s constantly overthinking her next move, or her previous move wondering what she could’ve done better.
Meanwhile, Usopp is over here in Skypia, having fought people and won, but still not believeing in himself fully. Trying his best to fight back, even though he’s shaking in his boots. And this is when Anya starts to have feelings for Usopp, because he’s trying to do something even though he’s scared.
HAPPY NEW YEAR!! Thank you all so much for following along on my journey with One Piece, and my OC , Anya. I am so excited for this new year and have lots of big plans for this story. I‘m a little nervous cause I have a big project basically storyboarded, but Idk if i should release it as is, or clean it up to a animatic.
But on another note, I’m really happy with how this turned out. I’ve been experimenting with colors and really want to get better at it/find a color palette for all my art. Also experimenting with different art styles(like this line-less one)
This year I’m participating in THE ARTIST WAY!!! It’s supposed to unlock your creativity through spiritual means. I’m on the second week and it’s definitely interesting. I really hope to keep up with it and create more art than i consume (the doomscrolling calls to me).
Thank you to my friends @nina-a-pines and @hell2electricboogaloo for always encouraging me and listening to me yap (I also did drawings like this for them <3 , they are in order) Here’s to well wishes and resolutions for 2026!
Some fun sketches of my villain Mr.Ballini! Just to recap, he ate the Ball-Ball fruit, that allows his body to transform into different types of balls (changing his density so he can bounce like a rubber ball👀, or be as heavy as a bowling ball). This included morphing his body into a mace ball and rolling around like those things in Super Mario lol.
Ballini’s dynamic with Anya over the years is obviously very toxic. He views her as an intelligent dog rather than a human with feelings. So while he berates and “disciplines” her, he views it as the process to teach a dog a new trick.
Anya in turn, learns that in order to get what you want/ need, you need to be obedient. This translates to her being overly happy, positive. If she does everything right with a smile, they have no reason to hurt her. Thats how she survives the circus.
For those who can’t read my chicken skratch:
“When transporting the animals from the ship to the tent on the island(where they set up each circus), Balini would put horse blinders to keep them on track. This includes Anya.——-He Believes she is just an intelligent dog, rather than a person.”
Hi I was wondering if you take a request for an Usopp x reader? Where it’s on the train to Enies Lobby and Sogeking (Usopp) talks to reader and realizes that he loved them the whole time but just realized, and can’t tell them as Usopp.(reader doesn’t know Sogeking and Usopp are the same person)
It’s a bit angst but you can add a happy end as well! Thank you!
Yes! I love this. Hope you enjoy reading!
Behind the Mask
Usopp x Reader
The Sea Train rattled beneath your feet, metal wheels grinding against steel tracks as it carried the crew further and further away from Water 7—and from him.
You sat curled up on one of the benches, chin resting against your palm, staring out the rain-spattered window. The blur of waves and storm-streaked sky felt fitting. Your chest ached in a way you couldn’t shake. No matter how much Nami reassured you, or how Luffy shouted that you’d win Robin back, your thoughts circled around the empty space at the docks.
Around Usopp.
You had wanted to wait, to stall the train, to scream at him to stop being so stubborn and just come with you. But pride had burned in his eyes, hurt sharper than any blade, and before you knew it, the ship was gone and you were left swallowing guilt like seawater.
Your throat tightened. You pressed a knuckle against your lips, as if that would stop the sting.
Then, the bench across from you creaked.
“Why the long face?”
You lifted your head. The figure sitting opposite wore a ridiculous mask painted with a sharp nose and bold colors. His cape swirled as he folded his arms, posture heroic, though the way he tilted his head at you seemed almost… gentle.
Sogeking. The “hero” who had suddenly appeared among your crew like an answered prayer.
“It’s nothing,” you muttered, looking back to the window. “You wouldn’t understand.”
Sogeking leaned forward, hands on his knees. “Try me. Heroes are very good listeners, you know.”
A weak laugh escaped you, but it fell quickly. The words tumbled out before you could stop them. “We left someone behind. Someone who should be here. He… he was an idiot sometimes, but he was my friend. More than that, I think. And I didn’t even get to say goodbye properly.”
The mask hid the way his mouth fell open, how your words struck him like a cannonball. He forced a light chuckle. “Sounds like he meant a lot to you.”
“He did.” Your eyes burned. “I don’t know if he knows that. I don’t know if I ever showed it enough. And now—now I don’t know if I’ll ever see him again.”
Sogeking’s fingers twitched, aching to rip the mask off, to say It’s me. I’m right here. I’ve been here the whole time. His heart hammered so hard it nearly drowned out the screech of the tracks.
He had always known you were special to him—your laughter, the way you encouraged his stories, the way you believed in him even when he faltered. But sitting here, hidden behind this mask while you mourned him… that was when the truth crashed over him.
He loved you.
He had loved you the whole time.
And now you sat in front of him, grieving him as if he were already gone, when he couldn’t even tell you the truth. Not as Sogeking. Not like this.
His throat tightened, but he forced the words through, voice steadier than he felt. “I think… if your friend was here, he’d want you to smile. He’d want you to believe in him. In yourself.”
You looked at him, eyes shining with unshed tears. “You think so?”
Sogeking nodded, swallowing the ache in his chest. “Heroes… and friends like that, they never really leave you. Trust me on that.”
Something about the way he said it made you pause, your breath hitching as if you could almost recognize the voice beneath the mask. But the train lurched, and the moment passed.
You smiled sadly. “Thanks, Sogeking.”
He smiled too, though you couldn’t see it, hiding behind painted colors and plastic. Hiding the truth.
And in that hidden smile was a quiet heartbreak: knowing he loved you, knowing you cared for him too, and knowing he couldn’t be Usopp for you—not yet.
Not until he found the courage to drop the mask.
--
The train thundered onward, rails shrieking under its weight. You sat a little straighter now, the heaviness in your chest eased—if only slightly—by Sogeking’s words. He was ridiculous, with his cape and mask, but there was warmth behind his voice that felt familiar. Safe.
You found yourself speaking again.
“You know, you remind me of him.” Your voice softened, your eyes lingering on the storm-washed horizon through the window. “Usopp. He always said the right thing, even when he was scared out of his mind. He… he’d tell me stories to distract me, exaggerate everything so I’d laugh instead of worry.”
Sogeking’s throat tightened. His hands curled into fists, cape trembling with the motion of the train. He forced his voice into a deeper register, heroic, but it cracked anyway.
“Sounds like a great man.”
“He was,” you whispered. “Still is. I hope he’s okay.”
The silence stretched, and for a heartbeat you could almost feel Sogeking wanting to say something more—something important—when Nami, sitting only a bench away, groaned loud enough to cut through the rattle of the train.
“Oh, for crying out loud—”
You blinked at her, confused. “What?”
Nami pinched the bridge of her nose, shoulders tense, clearly on the verge of snapping. “How are you this dense? You—”
Before she could finish, Sogeking practically launched himself across the aisle, slapping a gloved hand over her mouth. “Mmmph!” she muffled against him, eyes blazing.
“N-nothing!” Sogeking blurted, his voice shooting up an octave as he forced a laugh. “She just gets a little seasick. Er—train-sick. Mask-sick! Yes, mask-sick!”
You tilted your head, suspicion creeping into your eyes, but Sogeking sat back quickly, cape flaring as though nothing had happened. Nami peeled his hand off her face with the most withering glare imaginable, muttering into her palm.
She dragged her hand down her face in slow defeat. “Unbelievable. Luffy I expect this from. But you too?” She shot you a look that made your stomach flip, like she knew something you didn’t.
You frowned, still lost. “What are you talking about?”
“Nothing,” Nami bit out, crossing her arms and staring hard at the window.
You let it go, though confusion pricked at your thoughts. Instead, you turned back to Sogeking, smiling faintly. “Well, either way… thank you. I feel a little better now.”
And though you couldn’t see it, behind the mask Usopp’s heart stuttered, his eyes softening with a love he couldn’t voice.
Not yet.
Not until you looked past the mask.
--
Enies Lobby loomed like a fortress of judgment, white stone and iron gates stretching into the sky. The clash of swords and the roar of cannons drowned the world in chaos. Marines swarmed the courtyard like ants, and you were right in the thick of it—blade in hand, back pressed close to Zoro’s shoulder as he cut down anyone foolish enough to rush.
On your other side, cape fluttering wildly, Sogeking loosed shot after shot. Every bullet found its mark, disarming rifles, dropping marines before they could close the gap. You’d lost count of how many times he saved you from being skewered, his sling ringing like music beside your ear.
“Keep up!” Zoro barked, slicing through three marines in a single arc.
You panted, blood rushing hot in your veins, but managed a grin. “Don’t tell me what to do, mosshead!”
Zoro snarled but didn’t argue, flicking blood from his blade before planting himself solidly at your side again.
Another wave came. Sogeking leapt in front of you both, a wild glint in his eye as he shouted something about justice and heroism before unleashing another volley. Marines crumpled. You blinked at him, lips parting in awe.
“Wow… you’re amazing,” you breathed, and the sincerity in your voice made Sogeking stumble for just a second, his hand tightening around the slingshot.
Zoro caught it—the hesitation, the way the masked fool froze at your words. A vein popped in his forehead.
“Oi,” Zoro grunted mid-swing, eyes flicking to you, then to Sogeking. “You really don’t—”
Sogeking shot him a murderous glare over his shoulder, eyes wide in panic. Zoro’s tongue clicked against his teeth. He stopped himself, cutting off the words that nearly spilled out.
You, of course, were oblivious, too busy skewering a marine that had tried to rush Sogeking’s blind spot.
Zoro sighed, running a hand down his face in exasperation. “Unbelievable.”
“What?” you shouted over the clash, panting.
“Nothing. Just fight,” Zoro barked, turning away before you could press.
Sogeking, still firing, looked like he was about to faint with relief. His heart was battering his ribs, though not from the fight. Every time you looked at him like that—bright-eyed, trusting, admiring—he wanted to rip the mask off, to tell you it was him, Usopp, the same coward you mourned on the train.
But now? Now it would be awkward, too tangled. If he told you here, if he broke the illusion now, it would shatter everything.
So he swallowed it down and reloaded.
And you stayed at his side, fighting for Robin, oblivious to the secret that hung between you and the man behind the mask.
--
The rain-slick stone beneath your boots felt like it carried the weight of the whole world. You stood shoulder-to-shoulder with your crew on the roof of Enies Lobby, the wind howling, the sea crashing against the walls below.
Robin was there—so close, yet her face turned away, chains heavy on her wrists. Marines and government agents loomed, hundreds of eyes glaring at you, daring you to move.
Then Luffy’s voice cut through the storm.
“Sogeking… shoot down that flag.”
Your breath caught. You followed Luffy’s gaze up, up, to the massive World Government banner flapping proudly over the courthouse. The symbol that hung like judgment, daring you to defy it.
Even you hesitated. To raise a hand against the Government itself was to make yourselves enemies of the world.
But beside you, Sogeking straightened. His cape snapped in the wind as he lifted his slingshot with steady hands. The mask caught the light, hiding his expression, but something about the way he stood—it wasn’t just bravado. It was conviction.
“Understood,” he said, his voice carrying clear despite the storm. “This shot… will pierce the heavens themselves!”
The marines shouted in outrage, the air buzzing with disbelief, but your heart slammed against your ribs. He wasn’t hesitating. He wasn’t trembling.
You looked at him—not at the mask, not at the cape, but at the man beneath. And in that moment, he reminded you so much of Usopp your throat tightened. The same fire, the same impossible courage that only showed itself when it mattered most.
The slingshot twanged.
A fireball roared into the sky, trailing sparks like a comet before crashing into the flag. The explosion tore it apart, flames devouring the symbol of the Government as black smoke billowed across the rooftop.
The marines gasped, cursed, cried out in outrage. But you? You couldn’t look away from him.
Sogeking lowered his slingshot, chest heaving, cape fluttering like it belonged to a man who really was a hero. And your heart clenched so painfully it hurt to breathe.
Because whether it was Usopp or not, whether you understood the truth yet or not, you knew one thing: this man—this ridiculous, masked sniper—was your hero.
And when he declared war on the world, you stood beside him without hesitation.
--
The battle at Enies Lobby roared around you—chaos, fire, blades flashing—but all you could hear was Usopp’s voice.
Not Sogeking. Usopp.
You stood on the rooftop waterfall, drenched in spray, blood running hot from cuts you barely registered. Luffy lay beaten, trembling but refusing to stay down. Marines shouted from every side.
And then—Sogeking’s voice split the air, raw and desperate, shouting at the top of his lungs.
“LUFFY! GET UP! YOU CAN’T LOSE! YOU HAVE TO WIN!”
Your body froze. That voice—cracked with emotion, trembling with passion—you knew it. You knew it.
Every story told under the stars, every panicked yell when you nearly tripped off the Merry, every laugh when he’d cracked a bad joke… it was him. It had been him the whole time.
Your breath caught in your throat, vision blurring as you whipped toward him. And when his mask turned just slightly toward you, it was like the world dropped out beneath your feet.
Usopp.
You felt stupid. Blind. How hadn’t you seen it? The stance, the trembling hands, the way he overplayed bravado until it bent into something real. It was so him it was ridiculous.
Heat rushed to your face—part awe, part fury, part something so tender it ached. Because in that moment, with his voice shaking but his heart laid bare, you realized you loved him. Not just the stories or the laughs, not just the coward who always found courage when it mattered most. You loved all of him. And you had loved him for far longer than you’d admitted to yourself.
Tears stung your eyes. Your fists curled at your sides.
How dare he hide behind a mask. How dare he let you mourn him on the train, cry for him, ache for him—when he’d been here all along.
And yet, looking at him now, standing tall on the rooftop, cape snapping and slingshot aimed steady as the sea crashed below—you had never seen him more incredible.
“Usopp,” you whispered, your voice trembling with equal parts amazement and anger.
His shoulders stiffened. The mask turned toward you, and though it hid his face, you could see the terror behind it.
He knew. He knew you’d figured it out.
And you… you didn’t know whether to kiss him or throttle him.
-
The ship rocked gently beneath your feet, a new vessel gleaming against the dawn. The Thousand Sunny—their new ship, their new start. Robin was safe, Luffy was smiling again, and the crew’s laughter drifted over the deck as carpenters put the last touches in place.
But you stood apart, eyes fixed on the shoreline of Water 7.
The gulls wheeled above, the tide lapped quietly against the dock, and every sound only made the silence inside you louder.
He wasn’t there.
Usopp—Sogeking—was gone.
He’d slipped away as soon as the dust had settled, his coward’s feet carrying him off before you could catch him. Before you could scold him for lying, for hiding behind that stupid mask. Before you could tell him how much it hurt, crying for him when you thought you’d left him behind.
Before you could tell him you loved him.
Your chest squeezed so tightly it was hard to breathe. You gripped the railing, knuckles whitening.
Every crash of waves sounded like his laugh. Every creak of the dock made your head snap up, hoping it was him stumbling back, mask tucked under his arm, sheepish grin on his face.
But the shore stayed empty.
You cursed under your breath, tears burning the corners of your eyes. Stupid, stupid Usopp. Too brave and too cowardly all at once. Too proud to stay, too scared to face you. And yet you could still feel him everywhere—the warmth of his voice urging Luffy to rise, the steadiness of his hand guiding his sling, the boy who had stood on a rooftop and declared war on the world with nothing but fire in his heart.
Your heart thudded painfully, traitorously, because you knew—no matter how angry you were, no matter how embarrassed you felt for not realizing sooner—if he walked up that dock right now, you’d run into his arms without a second thought.
Behind you, the crew was loud with chatter and plans for departure, but all you could hear was silence.
And all you could think was, Please, Usopp. Don’t leave me waiting.
-
The Sunny’s sails billowed, catching the wind as the crew cheered, voices high with fresh beginnings. The city of Water 7 was shrinking into the horizon, sunlight bouncing off rooftops, and still—still—you stood at the railing, eyes scanning the dock until your vision blurred.
Then—
A shout. Desperate. Hoarse.
“WAIT! LUFFY! WAIT FOR ME!”
Your heart lurched into your throat. You whipped around so fast you nearly fell over. There he was—panting, bent double, sweat streaming down his face. Usopp. No mask. No cape. Just him, tripping over himself as he sprinted along the pier, arms waving like a man drowning.
“LUFFY! I’M SORRY!” His voice cracked, raw with regret. “I was an idiot! A coward! PLEASE—TAKE ME BACK!”
The crew rushed to the rail, eyes wide. Luffy stood silent for once, hat shadowing his eyes. And you—frozen at his side, chest aching so hard it hurt to breathe.
You wanted to scream at him for leaving. You wanted to call him stupid, coward, liar, everything that had festered in your chest since Enies Lobby. You wanted to tell him you loved him, that you had the whole time, that you were too blind and too proud to see it.
Tears pricked your eyes.
Usopp’s knees hit the dock as he collapsed, hands slammed together in a bow so low his forehead nearly cracked against the wood. “PLEASE, LUFFY! I’M SORRY! TAKE ME BACK!”
The silence was deafening. The sails groaned. The waves slapped the hull.
And then Luffy grinned.
“Grab on, idiot.”
He stretched his arm like a whip, rubber snapping through the air until it wrapped around Usopp’s middle. With a sharp tug, Usopp screamed as he was flung skyward, crashing toward the Sunny.
And you—without thinking, without hesitation—threw yourself forward.
He landed on the deck in a heap, and you tackled him before he could rise, slamming him flat on his back. Your arms locked around him so tightly he wheezed, your face buried against his chest as tears spilled hot and unrestrained.
“You stupid, stupid man!” you cried, voice breaking. “Do you have any idea what you put me through? I thought—I thought you were gone—I thought—!”
He stiffened beneath you, hands trembling as they hovered awkwardly before finally settling against your back. His voice shook, cracking around the edges.
“I know. I know… I’m sorry. I’m so sorry. I was scared, and I hurt you, and I—” His words strangled in his throat, swallowed by the sheer relief of holding you again.
The crew watched, quiet for once—Sanji’s cigarette smoldering forgotten, Nami wiping her eyes like she wasn’t crying, Zoro muttering about idiots and feelings.
But you didn’t care.
You just clung tighter, sobbing into his shirt. “Don’t you ever do that to me again.”
And for the first time in what felt like forever, Usopp laughed—wet, shaky, but real. His arms closed around you, pulling you closer, as if he never wanted to let go again.
“I won’t,” he whispered, voice barely audible over the crash of the sea. “I swear I won’t.”
And with your tears soaking his chest, your heart finally eased, even as it pounded wildly in love and fury alike.
Because stupid or not, coward or not—he was yours.
--
Life on the Sunny moved forward. Robin was free, the ship was new, and though scars still lingered from Water 7, the crew had settled into their rhythm again. And you and Usopp—well, nothing was declared, but nothing needed to be. You’d found your way back to one another, as if your friendship had been reforged stronger in fire. Best friends, closest friends, always at each other’s side. And though something warmer pulsed beneath the surface, pirate life had a way of keeping confessions in check.
Tonight the galley was quiet save for the creak of wood and the soft hum of the ocean outside. You worked alongside Sanji to clear away plates, stacking them carefully as the cook busied himself with wiping counters. Zoro lounged on the sofa nearby, arms folded, looking half asleep but no doubt listening in.
You hummed without realizing it, the tune slipping past your lips in a soft, sing-song rhythm.
“The man from the Sniper Island 〜♪
Lululu lulu lala〜
You’d better run!
Sogege Soge Soge—
Sogege Soge Soge—
Sogeking〜♪”
Your voice trailed into a giggle. You didn’t even mind how silly the song was now that you knew the truth—that ridiculous “hero” had been Usopp all along, dramatics and all. Somehow that made you like it even more.
Behind you, a plate slipped and clattered as Usopp froze in the doorway, eyes wide, caught like a deer in lantern-light.
You turned just in time to see his face go bright scarlet.
“You—! You were—! That’s—!” He flailed, words tripping over each other as he pointed at you with shaking hands. “You can’t just… just sing that! While I’m standing here!”
Sanji snorted behind his dishcloth, trying and failing to hide his grin. “Didn’t know you were such a fan of our resident hero, sweetheart.”
Zoro cracked one eye open, smirk tugging at his lips. “Or maybe she’s just mocking you, long-nose.”
“Shut up!” Usopp squawked, arms pinwheeling as his face burned hotter.
But you only smiled sweetly, setting the stack of plates down and dusting your hands. “What? It’s a good song. Catchy. Heroic. Inspiring.”
You leaned in just enough that his knees almost buckled. “And now that I know who was behind the mask… it’s even better.”
Usopp’s breath hitched. He stared at you, eyes wide, lips parting like he was about to say something—everything—but the words jammed in his throat. All he could do was laugh weakly, scratching the back of his neck.
You hummed again, deliberately soft, watching him squirm.
“Lululu lulu lala〜…”
And though nothing was declared, the warmth in his eyes, the way his gaze lingered on you like gravity itself pulled him closer—that was enough for now.
WE FINALLY AT EGGHEAD!!! Am maybe 10 episodes in and it might be one of my favs already! Also the animation is BEAUTIFUL!! I want to animate characters like they’re made of jello so bad now💖💖
I thought about what Anya would look like in eggheads cloths and came up with this!! She’s so cute!!(backless suit to show off her tattoo ~~which I gotta figure out still~~ and ✨absolute territory✨)
I also tried to use colored pencils.. I hate colored pencils.. they will be going in the garbage
The sketch cause I forgor to take the line art photo😭
GOLDEN HOUR COMIC!!! I’m so happy this is done! It took so so long (probs 6+ months). I feel like I’m getting better and better at things I used to hate (Coloring, lighting) don’t get me wrong, its not perfect and I skimped out on some stuff at the end (backgrounds) but I’m happy it’s done.
This takes place after the battle is won, after Kuma visits. Anya has no reservations about Usopp anymore and now is free to crush again. But what happens when she takes the next step without knowing?(she is so drunk that she doesn’t remember this happening, but Usopp does >:) )Their feelings are now mutual, but now its about getting over the hurdle of saying it (usopp is chicken shit, and Anya is indirect) will they spill their feelings before sabaody? (No..)
Also fun Easter egg: “Woah my heads spinning”-Tails the Fox
Trouble in Paradise!! After the events of Water 7, Usopp rejoins the crew! Anya is happy that he’s back but after the battle at Enies Lobby and her fight with him after those events (in the master list) Anya knows that Usopp and Sogeking are the same person. This leaves Anya conflicted because Usopp(as Sogeking) basically confessed his feelings for Anya when they were on the train to Enies Lobby. Which begs teh question, was it the truth, or a lie to make her feel better?
So when Nami, Usopp, and Chopper get lost on Thriller Bark, Anya is fixed on finding them always being ahead of the group contemplating. Also the last comic shows that Perona’s hollows don’t work on Anya. This is because while she might have the outward positivity, she doesn’t feel that to herself. This goes back to her backstory and how she was constantly berated and abused by Bellini and the circus captains. This leaves her self esteem really low while making her people pleasing tendencies really high (thus outward positive, inward negative).
For now(unless changed in the future), Anya gets split up from the big group leaving her wandering the castle and happening upon Oars. I like to imagine she’s trying to snoop and ends up hiding in his mouth or hair when he breaks out. Later reuniting with the rest of the group when he tries to put the crown on his head(she falls off). I wanna have Anya see the first part of Usopp and Perona’s fight, later joining in to fight Kumashi and/or Perona’s cute goons. When she sees Usopp use the Sogeking mask to gain confidence for the fight, she realizes Usopp and Sogeking are the same person (in action not just physically), he would mean every word he says as both. This leads to the Golden Hour Comic (post on master list)
SHE SPEAKS!! So happy with this little animation, with Anya my beloved OP-OC. The outfits show the different arcs she goes through. (1) Anya’s OG Circus Arc : trying to show her usefulness to her new crew (2) Jaya island : trying to find the northern Bird (3) Skypia: fighting Enel (4) water 7: walking in on a certain someone changing 👹 (totally forgot Long Ring Ling Land but it’s alright)
Hopefully soon I can work on her introduction animatic, I’ve been learning Blender (which is a pain) but I feel it’ll make everything go faster 🤞🤞🤞
Working on the next page Sniperfox comic! I was trying to figure out the best color combo for Anya’s outfit(let me know what your fav is!)
Here’s a sneek peek of the comic. This is gonna take place on thrillerbark when the battle is won! I’m so so so excited for it to be done. I feel like I’ve been working on this for months (it got put on the back burner for a while.
IMMMM BAAACCCKKKKK!!! I come to you with a Sniperfox original animation meme. Pre and post time skip Anya and usopp make me so happy🥰 Anya is so intentional with her love for Usopp, she can’t help but be a flirt with him😋
I’ve been away for a bit cause i finished my webtoon comic submission called Ate My HEART. Now im gonna start back up with one piece content! Speaking of which, i got a new computer!! Which means blender! Which means better storyboard program for the first installment of my SNIPER FOX ANIMATIC SERIES!!! I’ll be posting it here obviously, and I’m thinking about twitch streaming my progress/process. So keep an eye out 👀.
Feel free to do the meme, it would so be an honor if someone else did this with their characters🤩
