Hi, I'm Mutant. I've been in the Hermitcraft fandom for a few years now, mostly over on Ao3 under the same name. I like to talk a lot, though I forget that tumblr exists sometimes. My favorites to ramble about are Evil Xisuma, Xisuma, Helsknight, and Welsknight, though I've got others who I'll probably chatter on about from time to time.

I have too many AUs and WIPs, so some of those will probably come up. My mind is constantly creating new ideas and I tend to get lost in some of them (the others go into a Google document to hopefully be used later). If you ever want writing prompts, I'm your guy! Asks are open to all, just please don't send me NSFW stuff.

Tags are still developing, but I'm probably going to be using the basic HC tags for that stuff, and #mutatedRamblings for everything not related to fandom, along with '#send it to the queue of doom' for queued reblogs. I also have '#wheel game' for those spin the wheel what did you get games, and #mutatedFics for when I post about my own fanfiction that I put up over on ao3. #mutatedAnswers is used when I answer any ask I get.

Helsknight, a human, lives in the Nether, a dimension that doesn’t have a sun. That, paired with the lack of water, means that plants can’t grow there (only mushrooms), so most of Helsknight‘s diet are mushrooms and pork. Due to that, he has scurvy. He is also vitamin D deficient (because, again, no sun!)

He regularly breaks into the Hermits‘ storage to steal vitamin tablets for himself.

Evil Xisuma on the other hand, who also lived in the Nether for a while, never had such problems, because his native dimension, the End, also doesn’t have a sun, so voidwalkers evolved to make all of the necessary vitamins/amino acids on their own. (Unlike humans who can only synthesize 12 out of the 21 amino acids that we need to live)

I think it would be really funny if people from the Nether and especially the End had no concept of time. It's not like that would really be native to them - both of those places have no day cycle, and no real need to track the time. And then they enter the overworld for the first time and are startled when it starts getting dark. Hey what's up with that big ball of light in the sky anyways?

I forgot to put up a post about this - The fic Lilly and I've been working on for Alphabet is up! In this one Evil Xisuma is a solider guarding his end city. There's a lot of cool worldbuilding (and angst, of course).

Apologies if i'm beating a dead horse so to say, but can I ask after what happened to the form from last year? It's completly understandable if ya'll didn't have the time or anything of course, I was just surprised to see nothing's been said about it sense it first opened /gen-q

Unfortunately things got a bit busy last year so we (I, specifically) didn't have time to do a count including comment guesses and nice graphics... Which means I totally forgot about releasing the responses we did have.

For the full data, the best way to see what was guessed for what, is this spreadsheet. Whilst this gives a nice summary of the results, great for seeing the fun questions at the end, or some general statistics like how much people/fics were guessed!

Again, sorry it took so long, but hopefully this gets people excited for this year's event as well!
