important addition i forgot that not everyone might know. similar to how ao3 bookmarks work, you can also link to non-ao3 fanworks using this format. so, for instance, if theres some fanart on tumblr that inspired you to write the fic? you can link that fanart to your fic!
Depending on your sim's mood, the sleep pose could change from arm under pillow (Happy, Embarrassed, Sad, Shy, Silly, Bored, Depressed) to arms stretched out (Passionate, Dazed, Furious, Flirty, Angry) They can do the same sleep pose if their moods are similar.
DO NOT use this if your sim uses those beds where the blanket doesn't cover your sim. You will be horrified.

This is a small quality-of-life mod that lets you freely adjust objects in The Sims 4.
Instead of being limited to the normal object size options, this mod adds a simple Adjust menu when clicking on objects, giving you more control over how things look in your builds.

Being neurodivergent means constantly grieving your old hyperfixations or special interests as new things come and take over, sometimes permanently replacing the old.
Coming to terms with the fact that you’re allowed to love more than one thing so wholeheartedly, so consumingly, is something I still struggle so much with.
In part because I feel guilt for “abandoning” my old interests & not spending as much time/any time on something that would keep me up at night, feeling that love fade to the background - but also because it’s exhausting to care for things so deeply. It takes an extremely heavy toll to give 150% to multiple things.
Oh but also on the opposite - sometimes a new hyperfixation or special interest can renew an old one! I studied American History and Politics as my first degree, and Songwriting and Performance as my second. When Hamilton came out, the (undiagnosed) neurodivergent me was ECSTATIC. I got all of it. Every single part of that musical may as well have been written specially for me.
Also, sometimes an old special interest or hyperfixation leads into a new one, builds on it. I have loved the Sims since 2000, and not only do I now get temporary hyper fixations on the Sims 4 once in a while, but it also opened the door for my hyperfixations on other games! Stardew valley has been a really consistent one for me for a few years now, and I never would have played it without the Sims.
Sometimes, you may feel like you have abandoned something, only to find years later that all of that knowledge was never lost, but dormant, waiting for you to pick it right back up again.
are you appalled by the fact that only career politicians can organize protests in the sims 4? do you find the default protestor costumes in the game criminal?

i have always found it incredibly annoying that in the sims 4 you can't be a voluntary activist who also has to make ends meet with other things in life. especially a university campus without student activism is insane to me! with this mod,
literally anybody from teen to elder can organize a protest as long as they have a political opinion to protest for.
you can choose a political opinion for your sim by clicking on them. i wanted to keep it maxis, so these are ea's default political causes that come with city living ep, i.e. "no sim left behind", "speak for the trees", "world united", "foundation for less mischief", and "simoleons for everyone". you can change your political opinion anytime from the same pie menu.
then you just go out there and protest in fashion: sims no longer change into those ugly t-shirts! they simply remain in their current outfit. this should be the case even if you are in the politician career.
otherwise it all works exactly as in city living ep, meaning that anybody with or without a political opinion can still join or watch the protest, autonomously or player directed. relevant moodlets, protestor signs etcs are the same as in CL, and a politician can still come and ask protestors to disperse.
requirements: city living ep.
conflicts: none to my knowledge but any mod that alters protest behavior may conflict depending on what changes they implement. shoot me an ask if you have anything specific in mind and i'll look into it!

for my delulu fantasies about future iterations of this mod, see below.
i really wanted to make child sims able to participate in an already ongoing protest, but i couldn't since that would require new animations. as someone who grew up on various protests my parents took me to, i really want to make this happen one day, when i learn more. my plan would be to:
make it possible for child sims to join an ongoing protest organized by an adult sim. children would shout slogans like the adults and hold small signs. i would make it so that the child sim wouldn't necessarily have a political opinion of their own.
make it possible for child sims to organize two types of protests on their own and without needing any political cause or opinion: protesting their parents and protesting school lol. only child sims could organize these protests and other children or toddlers could join an ongoing one. the toddlers wouldn't understand anything lol they would just bob as they sometimes autonomously do.
if i go even more delulu i would add interactions for parents to make concessions to a child protest or stand their ground (concession example: you are allowed not to brush your teeth just for this night haha). maybe it would affect their parenthood pack related traits etc.
anyway, i can only dream for now! ♡
