Another #indymini is in the books. The 2019 Indy Mini didn't disappoint at all. The fans came out even while it was raining the whole race. Another great year at the @arnoldsports! This year did the Pump and Run which was different than anything I've done before. Seeing how many times you can bench your body weight before running is no joke. The run was great besides the freezing temperature and snow throughout the race. First run in the new @newtonrunning Distance and once again they performed awesome! Also had my @aftershokz to keep me going! Here are some pictures from the race yesterday! The first picture is right before we started, 2nd picture is at mile 21. Overall I went in to this race hoping to do well but being my first 50 mile ultra I mainly wanted to get to the finish line and that I accomplished. I finished 6th overall with a time of 10 hrs. The biggest things I learned was eat a lot more and that it gets lonely out there running by yourself! I can't thank @ameforitruncoaching enough for helping me get here so quick! Everyone needs a pair of @aftershokz headphones. One pair lasted the full 10 hours which is crazy! @newtonrunning for the support and shoes that helped me make it to the finish line as they always do. I've been seeing a lot of #throwbackthursday posts today so I figured I would throw it back to the beginning. The first picture was taken a little while before I started running. Then the 2nd picture is day #1. That day changed my life forever. If you would have asked me about running across the country I would have thought you were joking. That day was the day I wanted to be healthier, raise awareness for COPD and honor everyone living with it especially my dad. This is also kinda a transformation post as well to show you with some hard work you can do whatever you want in life. Next Saturday I will run my first 50 mile race in Daytona Beach Florida to honor my dad and the millions affected by COPD and their families.
