Lothlórien acrylic painting I made for this thrifted frame from Stockholm
It has become somewhat of an obsession for me lately to look for cute second hand frames and make a painting to go with them.

The Fellowship of the Ring book 2 prints overview
Maybe I'll call it "...the world ahead" but I'm not sure yet. I just realised the other day that I've carved 18 small linocuts so far, which I think is quite a lot!
Which one is your favourite of these nine?
"Coming, Mr Frodo!"
And here is the last mini linoprint for the Fellowship - 18 in total!
Another title I considered for this one was "not alone".
The Argonath
Mini linoprint
The Mirror of Galadriel
This mini liniocut comes before Namarië, of course, but I kept changing my mind about which ones to do for the second book and then discovered that the death of Boromir actually happens in The Two Towers, oops... So here is another Galadriel print!
A Fourth Age vase, probably from Gondor, although I quite like the idea that in Rohan stories were told by song and tapestries (and maybe vases too) instead of writing.
After all the lino cuts, sgraffito felt like the next logical step.

A quick Vingilot design I carved to test a different kind of linoleum and my new printing press.
Namárië
Mini lino print of the Fellowship leaving Lothlórien
Here's the 5th mini linocut of the second book for my Lord of the Rings series. This one was a lot of fun and I experimented with printing on a watercolour background as well.
Gandalf fighting a campfire with wings a Balrog
My Balrogs usually don't have wings but I decided I need them in this mini print to make more obvious what it's about.
As all of my mini prints this one is 7x9 cm
I personally love Gandalf's pointy hat and the Balrog's whip.
This third mini print, The Hollin Gate, is one of my favoruites! I love how the trees turned out, and the tentacles, and of course Gandalf's pointy hat!
The Pass of Caradhras is the second mini linoprint I made for book two
The Last Homely House
Mini linoprint
Here's the first print for book two! I've decided to start book two with Rivendell, simply because it made the most sense with wanting to make 9 prints per book and the sketches I had already made.
"Laughter in the snow"
watercolour and digital painting
Commission by a very lovely person ♡
Maglor has already been drawn into the snowball fight, following an ambush by Elrond. Maedhros doesn't know about his luck yet, but he will soon have no choice but to join as well - Elros will make sure of it.
Merry Christmas and happy holidays to you all! May even the darkest moods be chased away by a mischievously thrown snowball!
Since we have the first snow here in Germany today, I thought this is the perfect occasion to revive this painting! I hope you have a time as nice and calm as it can be, with loved ones, family (chosen or otherwise) and a good book!
I made a little red sketchbook! Of course it was inspired by the Red Book of Westmarch.
I used vegan leather and the dragon and mountain are partly raised and engraved to make it a bit more exciting.
"Banner of stars"
Gil-galad illustration for the Silmarillion Writers Guild's Mereth Aderthad
Gil-galad is a character I love because he can be interpreted as anyone you want. He seems like the idea of an ideal king, someone who doesn't shine brightly and goes down loudly, not someone who acts rashly, out of faults or passions we know about, like the other noldorin High Kings. He seems more like a banner of stars, someone with a vague enough background that he can be Orodreth's son or Fingon's, some random Elf's son who was given a crown when a new king was needed, or someone who was once called Finduilas.
In my painting, he takes on the colour of the background, waiting for every fanfic writer and artist to turn him into their own favourite version.
Here you can read an interview with me about this painting Also check out the beautiful zine of the event here
"Home is behind"
This wraps up my series of mini linocuts for book 1 of The Fellowship of the Ring
