I can imagine Neil and Aaron sitting down and watching some medical show that is so painfully inaccurate and them both agreeing on something like: “No your femoral artery is more to the left, he basically just stabbed him in the kneecap.” And the other nodding along. Or “He would have bled out before they got him to the hospital if he was shot there.” Maybe even Neil going as far as: “When I was stabbed there I was fine, they’re just being a baby.” And Aaron responding, “That’s what I’m saying.” And during the whole situation Andrew is sitting in the corner very concerned but sits back and quietly drinks his tea just glad they’re not trying to kill each other for once.

You ever think Andrew’s like, folding laundry in his apartment with Neil, throwing socks into their shared drawer because neither of them give a shit about socks, and then he has to pause because…he’s folding laundry.

For him and his boyfriend. Who are both adults with like, health insurance and shit. They say shit like “let’s go home” and “what’s for dinner?” Nothing is separated in their dresser except for workout wear because they need different size compression gear. They have matching jackets in the closet and pictures on the wall. They kiss each other good morning, and hello. They grocery shop. And suddenly Andrew’s nicotine gum is heavy in his pocket, because he stopped smoking so he’ll never be too out of breath to reach Neil.

Andrew has to stop to feel his heart, as if folding t-shirts was running a marathon, because he didn’t think he’d last this long. He didn’t think this was possible.

So Andrew sits in their apartment and feels.

i've been thinking a lot about the jeremy aaron parallels, specifically about how it was a car crash that freed aaron and a car crash that trapped jeremy along with the involvement of both of their brothers in said crash. for aaron, despite it not being what he asked for or wanted, andrew killing tilda in a crash was the reason aaron was able to escape his abuse, and it was andrew that got him clean. for jeremy, it was the opposite. jeremy was already struggling with his family, but it was bryson getting into an accident then being prescribed medication that he then sold to jeremy, even encouraged him to take, that was the final nail in the coffin, leading to jeremy's struggles with addiction. worse, it was bryson that gave jeremy the cocaine as well. so aaron's brother went to extreme measures to protect aaron in the only way he knew how, while jeremy's (older) brother's actions led jeremy to the worst point in his life.

as much as i love the idea of someone (nicky) recording kevin acting like himself instead of his on-camera persona and going viral for it in a modern-day au, i also love the idea of kevin having a sixth sense for when a camera is pointed at him.

like:

kevin cussing all of them out at a practice and then in the middle of a sentence going from screaming to saying mildly, "and i just expect a lot from you, and i want you all to try your best". a pause. then, several foxes at once, go "what the fuck". kevin looks straight into the camera of nicky's phone.

after a night at eden's, nicky enters the living room in the columbia house where kevin's sleeping on the sofa, turns the ceiling lights on and loudly says "wakey, wakey, kevin! ice cream's for breakfast" in a singsongy voice.

hungover, just awoken kevin, without turning around to look at nicky, just goes "good morning, nicky. just an omelet for me, please."

nicky turns the camera around to film his own face and sighs exaggeratedly.
