shane and ilya are genuinely best friends and they act like it. so on their honeymoon, they’re at the beach playing some beach tennis and then betting who could reach the ocean first, and they competing who’s the fastest swimmer, and playing around, and throwing each other in the water, and chasing each other, having an absolute blast. then going back to their recliners to chill and drink some water and a group of girls comes up to them “we’re watching you guys from afar. you guys are so athletic, do you work out a lot?” and shane replies “we professional athletes so we need to keep up our form” and the group let out a oooh “are you both single?” one of them asks and ilya chuckle “no, we aren’t single. it’s our honeymoon actually” and the girls were like “oh my god, of course a beautiful pair is together” “we’re not going to disrupt you guys anymore” as they’re walking away one of them says “there’s not straight hot guys anymore” and ilya and shane look at each other and lose it. but now they’re acting like an annoying couple at the beach so there’s no doubt about the nature of their relationship

I know people like the idea of Shane telling Ilya he's autistic and Ilya's just like "yes? I know this? why are you telling me?"

and while I do believe Ilya would be chill with it bc he already knows Shane's autistic quirks, I have and love the idea of Shane being so worried about his reaction that he accidently makes Ilya think he was diagnosed with some kind of terminal illness and believe Shane is dying for a solid couple minutes before Shane clarifies that he just gets sensory overloads and likes routines

i think i've posted this before, but ilya truly does deserve an award for his patience after getting woken up at fuck o'clock at the cottage for a five year plan strategy session when he was in the middle of a rem cycle.

like the way he asked "what is nur-ate-iv?" makes me think man TRULY was not catching all of the words getting tossed at him so fast the second his eyes were even a LITTLE open. like he wasn't asking "what story did you come up with?" he's asking "what word are you even saying to me right now?" man got like 0.2 seconds to be like "oh i'm awake now?" before he was getting PELTED with english because shane had a forty step plan that couldn't wait like. three more hours.

i would have hit him with a pillow and said let's circle back, so kudos to ilya.
