@captncyco yes up to 80% of orange tabbies are male! In order for an orange female to be born she must inherit two orange genes, one from her father who must be a orange and one from her mother who can be orange, calico, or tortieshell. The gene that codes for orange is on the X chromosome and like people, the male has the xy and the female the x…so in order to get an orange female, a lot of conditions have to line up properly. You are more likely to get more then one orange female in a litter (if Mom only had access to one male during breeding) which it seems you managed to get, lucky you!!!
