The worst thing is that low quality porn is still extremely easily accessible on tumblr, but what isn't allowed anymore really is user's expressions of their own sexuality.

It's an exceptionally cruel thing to do to a userbase that was mostly known for openly talking about queer and feminist approaches to sex prior to this policy. If you post about these topics on tumblr you risk an algorithm destroying your blog (a record of potentially years of your life) with no warning or possiblity of redress. Prudes and homophobes can also game this algorithm and use it to remove their enemies (mostly trans women) from the site. It's an evil policy and the result has been the death of that kind of discussion on here. Queerest place on the internet my ass.

So Captain America and Bucky Barnes were so gay in the Winter Soldier that Disney had to backpedal so hard they left skid marks on pride avenue, and throw in a generic hot blonde who makes out with Cap the next movie, while Bucky gives him the thumbs up and high fives Sam Wilson like a dude bro at a frat party.

A hot blonde who never shows up ever again and isn't mentioned and is totally irrelevant.

And it's really funny because X Men did the same thing, where Charles and Erik were so fucking gay in Days of Future Past, that in Apocalypse they literally threw in Moira who does absolutely NOTHING for that entire movie, except be hot so that Charles can ogle at her like a drooling pitbull.

Keep in mind that she barely did anything in First Class either, and she might as well be a non character.

But then you look at fucking Venom.

A movie that did the full fucking reverse.

Where they had the subtext... and then they said fuck it.

And ramped it the hell up.

And to me?

That's peak comedy.

Venom might not be as well written as Winter Soldier or Days of Future Past, but it's the fucking spirit of the thing that counts.

Maybe it's because the Russos are terrified of gays and Chad Tom Hardy is having gay sex, I don't know.

all I know is venom is mending the wounds left by the other movies. good job, venom, and thank you, tom.

Stucky, no smut, emotional, angst, rumlow (and other hydra agents) gets what he deserves (not included in fic but assumed after), sambucky (after Steve leaves), the power of stucky love!!!

Steve doesn't realise the winter soldier is Bucky until long after the fight and he has the time to fully process and respond. He articulates and lays out everything he feels in that moment instead of it being brushed past.

40s stucky heavily present in this moment, where Steve talks about everything they shared back then to bring him back.

Sam sees everything and understands them both.

People who talk about what population density is necessary to "justify" a rail system are wrong but they're wrong in the opposite way from how they think. Even in Japan which has more than twice the population density of China the rail system is not profitable. JR makes most of its profit by operating malls and collecting rent from vendors. If you blindly follow profit instead of considering the broader social benefits the result will always be putting your rail system into a death spiral of rationalization. Stop expecting public transport to turn a profit that's not what it exists for.

Nothing is more illustrative of how rainbow capitalism erodes queer identities into marketable categories then the difference between the original movie of Rocky Horror Picture show, and that live show they filmed in the 2010s.

In the original Dr Frank n Furter is a character who blurs gender lines. He's technically a villian but in that Disney way where he's still inherently likeable. He's androgynous, and can be interpreted as trans, nonbinary or gnc depending on how the audience decides to read him, but he's very clearly outside the gender binary in a way that's hard to ridgedly define.

In the 21st century adaptation he's changed to be a very binary, 100% passing, trans woman. While people like that are definitely valid, it's far from making him more diverse or progressive. He goes from someone that can't fit into either binary gender norm, to someone working hard to fit into one of them. And it's the type of thing neolibs love to see as being more progressive. We've gone from a queer culture based around trying to destroy gender norms, to a queer culture based around begging cishet people to let us be part of their gender norms.

Rainbow capitalism doesn't just commodify queer culture. It actively eats away at parts of the queer community.

I’m devastated that Dead Boy Detectives for many reasons but mostly because every characters story, even the side characters is left open. If there ever was a second season this is what I’d love to see

Niko coming back as a ghost or some other supernatural being and her and Charles bonding over accepting that they are dead. Especially because in season one Charles is forced to confront both his abusive father and being beaten to death. He repressed those memories for 30 years because they were too painful for him. And Niko did the same thing with her father’s death and the mistakes she made while she was alive. Plus I’d just love to see the two of them become friends.

On the flip side I see the other focus on Crystal and Edwin also confronting their pasts. While Charles and Niko struggle with confronting their deaths Edwin needs to accept he was a living being at one point. And now that Crystal has her memories back she will have to reconnect with her past self. I’d love to see her and Edwin bonding over being from families with money and neglectful parents and fearing they deserved the punishments they received. Plus I wanna see more of them bicker like the siblings they are! Maybe we get to see more of Edwin’s family and life when he was alive because it’s basically nonexistent in season one!

Charles realizing his feelings for Edwin are more than platonic now that he knows Edwin likes him and Charles and Edwin becoming more comfortable with being closer physically. Just like Edwin had a sexuality crisis in season one I see Charles also having a sexuality crisis in season two. Luckily he has three girl friends who are all super openly queer.

Edwin going thru his hoe phase but struggling to form emotional connections with his sexual partners because he loves Charles and Charles wanting to be supportive but also being down bad for him. And Edwin potentially confiding in Charles??

Charles and Crystal trying to make a relationship work but realizing pretty quickly they’re not compatible. I do think the season ended with them being in a quasi relationship and I see it dragging out a bit longer because neither of them is ready to let go.

Edwin going to Jenny for relationship advice and her actually giving decent advice. I feel like most fanon assumes he’d go to Niko but I honestly don’t think Niko feels comfy giving relationship advice after the disaster that was Jenny’s date from Hell. I do see both of them possibly tag teaming relationship advice for Edwin. I could also see him confiding in Crystal since they’re already bonding over their shared trauma.

I also see Charles venting to literally everyone but Edwin about his feelings because he’s having a sexuality crisis and confronting his past trauma at the same time. Charles being 100000% jealous of every guy Edwin’s been with and judging whether they’re actually a good match for Edwin. He will be the bestie who’s like “I’m so happy for you” and Edwin being like “then why are you crying” “these are happy tears mate🥺😭”

Edwin and Charles finally having a conversation about the staircase and Edwin realizing Charles only said he wasn’t in love because he wanted to wait until he knew for sure. And both of them admitting they don’t feel like they’re good enough to be what the other one needs.

As for the side characters, I wanna see Jenny finally get a gf in London and become a butcher for both the living and the dead. I want tragic mic to finally become a walrus again because he’s been thru it. This probs won’t happen but Monty coming back and him and Charles bonding over their shared jealousy of Edwin and maybe hate fucking?

This is a long shot but it would be so cool to see Desire and Charles especially when Charles realizes he’s a chaotic bisexual. And Despair and Edwin because I can see them being a disastrous duo.

And lastly death finally meets the dead boy detectives!!
