I made a little meme
kakashi knows that wearing a mask keeps others safe!
also this is my new comic style so you can expect something similar to this in future comics (whenever I feel like putting effort into making one)
GO OFF GIRLLL
the bi flag is so pretty?
just look at it, the colors fit so nicely together
the palette is so nice, just look at all that aesthetically pleasing stuff!!
all that neon-y goodness! and it comes in pastel, too!
so gorgeous! look at all those flags at pride!
a great fit for such a vibrant community!
REPRESENTATION MATTERS.
Representation is SO important.
Just remember. There is no such thing as a fake geek girl. There are only fake geek boys. Science fiction was invented by a woman.
Specifically a teenage girl. You know, someone who would be a part of the demographic that some of these boys are violently rejecting.
Isaac Asimov.
yo mary shelley wrote frankenstein in 1818 and isaac asimov was born in 1920 so you kinda get my point
If you want to push it back even further Margaret Cavendish, the duchess of Newcastle (1623-1673) wrote The Blazing World in 1666, about a young woman who discovers a Utopian world that can only be accessed via the North Pole - oft credited as one of the first scifi novels
Women have always been at the forefront of literature, the first novel (what we would consider a novel in modern terms) was written by a woman (Lady Muraskai’s the Tale of Genji in the early 1000s) take your snide “Isaac Asimov” reblogs and stick it
even in terms of male scifi authors, asimov was predated by Jules Verne, HG Wells, George Orwell, you could have even cited Poe or Jonathan Swift has a case but Asimov?
PbbBFFTTBBBTBTTBBTBTTT so desperate to discredit the idea of Mary Shelly as the mother of modern science fiction you didn’t even do a frickin google search For Shame
And if you want to go back even further, the first named, identified author in history was Enheduanna of Akkad, a Sumerian high priestess.
Kinda funny, considering this Isaac Asimov quote on the subject:
Mary Shelley was the first to make use of a new finding of science which she advanced further to a logical extreme, and it is that which makes Frankenstein the first true science fiction story.
Even Isaac Asimov ain’t having none of your shit, not even posthumously.
You know what else was invented by women? Masked vigilantes, the precursor to the modern superhero. Baroness Emma Orczy wrote The Scarlet Pimpernel in 1905. The character would later inspire better known masked vigilantes such as Zorro and Batman.
Got that?
Stick that in your international pipe and smoke it
I have literally been telling people this for over a year.
the first extended prose piece - ie a novel, was not, as many male scholars will shout, Don Quixote (1605) but The Tale of Genji (1008) written by a woman
The first autobiography ever written in English is also attributed to a woman, The Book of Margery Kempe (1430s).
The day may come when I find this post and do not reblog it, but it is not this day.
Women invented language while men were hunting. I mean…
How can your body replicate the feeling of falling from high altitudes in a nightmare if you’ve never fallen like that before?
I don’t know but I don’t like this post.
So did we Jackson. So did we…

List of bisexuals whose identities are erased by the media.
P!nk
Anne Frank
Megan Fox
Billie Joe Armstrong
Snooki
Drew Barrymore
Angelina Jolie
Azealia Banks
Kesha
Fergie
Lady Gaga
Madonna
Clive Davis
Anna Paquin
Bai Ling
Carrie Brownstein
Evan Rachel Wood
Amber Heard
Frenchie Davis
Vanessa Carlton
Jillian Michaels
Freddie Mercury (debatable, but considering he had had a long-term relationship with Mary Austin and he tended to keep quiet on matters of his private life, we’ll never know for sure)
All or which have either been given the name “gay” or “straight“ by the media despite coming out. There are more than two sexualities and this is a fact that most people (even on Tumblr nowadays) forget. People tend to assume that since someone is with a person of the same gender, they’re gay. (Or vice versa in Angelina or P!nk’s case) This is incorrect to assume because you’re erasing their identities in the process. The people on this list aren’t gay or straight, they’re bisexual. No matter how much the media tries to erase that.
also….
Nicki Minaj
Mel B
Pete Wentz
Socrates
Louis XIII

Channing Tatum is openly bisexual but people just….ignore it.
No the fuck i don’t. The fact that i have a chance with Channing Tatum regardless of my gender has gotten me through some bad days. Also David Bowie.
Omg I can’t believe he wasn’t listed I had to double check!
AND DAVID FUCKING BOWIE
reblogging for all my bi kids out there who are trying to find bisexual role models. there are a lot of bi celebrities out there, it’s just that the media doesn’t like to accept that.
The keepers...too close to home
Watching the Netflix, “the keepers”. Was such a bad idea. I’m only half way thru but damn.
Essentially, It’s about sexual abuse in the Catholic Church and the cover up. TOO close to home.
Many probably know.. I was abused on a mission trip as a newly 15 year old by the paster’s father of the church we were staying at… there were several girls assaulted. Police were called but regardless of ALL the statements and even, someone catching him kiss someone.. charges were never filed. The churches squashed it. Then made us girls stand up in front of the congregation to talk about how wonderful the mission trip was.. it was brutal.
This show triggered all that anger again. I’m so pissed. I’m mad no one was held accountable. I’m mad that the youth leaders left us alone with these people who hurt me. I’m mad that I was silenced before I knew I had a voice. I’m mad that I wasn’t worth fighting it. I’m mad I didn’t want to fight it then. I’m mad people didn’t ask more questions. I’m mad that this is triggering feelings that were supposed to be healed and over with. I’m mad that this happened. I’m mad at the church. I’m mad that protecting the church mattered more that protecting me. I’m mad no one protected me.
I’m just so angry. And now tears.
This injustice right here is such bullshit!! I really mad that they did that to all of you
