I’m currently on the search for a new apartment in New York City. As most New Yorkers will tell you, apartment hunting in the city is all but fun and you come across your fair share of places that will surprise, humor and even shock you. I’ve been more aware of the rise in rent and other living costs in NYC especially during the apartment hunting process. Despite the constant rise in costs, I was pleasantly surprised to find this tower viewer still required only 25 cents to operate. I secretly hoped the machine will remain the same in the midst of the ever-changing capitalist urban jungle.

I’m currently traveling through Asia mainly to see my family and to shoot some personal projects on the side. I’ve had the opportunity to spend a few days in Tokyo for the last days of February and I must say it is a beautiful city. This was my second time visiting Japan, but since I got to spend more time venturing throughout the city, I appreciated the clever and intriguing lifestyle of Japanese people even more. Overall, Japan doesn’t feel too foreign to me - it’s quite similar to Korea actually. The quiet neighborhoods of Shinjuku and Meguro also reminded me of German neighborhoods in many ways. I’ll be posting more images here in the coming days...
