The fandomization of Odysseus into a guy who never cheated on his wife is really stupid an insidious cause A) he banged Circe and Calypso for literal years and B) its almost like this is a mythological interpretation of how Greek men at war would take women as "war wives" and their actual wives were expected to just accept this as their naturally earned "glories". and once the men get home everyone conveniently pretended like it didn't happen, until a baby popped out which the man would at the very least usually fully accept as his child but typically continue to pretend like his babymomma didn't exist.

We have seen homes that tried to look like castles, and small homes that were castle wannabe’s. This, however, is the closest I’ve see to a real castle and it’s in Rochester, Michigan. 

There isn’t a moat, but the front entrance does mimic the look of a drawbridge.  

There have to knights in a castle. This one has a lot of wood, but it’s lighter than the dark medieval style. Owner’s preference. 

Of course, there has to be a grand staircase. 

And, a castle also needs a great room. 

The kitchen. 

And, the royal chamber.

This is what you see when lying in the bed, looking up.

This is the main bedroom’s ensuite.

It’s a relatively small castle, b/c there are only 4 bedrooms. In this, the 2nd bdrm., is a trap door in the floor.

Which leads to the 3rd bedroom. 

And, another bath.

The 4th bedroom. 

This is the home office with a loft and the door in bookcase is a safe room. 

This is a craft room with a drop down work table. The shelving also tucks away.

The hall of mirrors looks like fun.

The home has secret staircases and hidden rooms, but I don’t think that this one is a secret.

And, this is the bar. 

This looks like an interesting area. 

The garages are on the east side of the building.

The garage is very beautiful inside, also.

The gates look like they include watch towers.

Prayer Request

This morning at church, one of our young mothers had a seizure. She has a history of them but this time she couldn't seem to come out of it. We called an ambulance and they took her to the hospital.

Please be in prayer for Michelle, her husband Adrian, and her three little daughters, Luna, Allie, and baby Eden.

Y’all this is a great video to study to observe the body language of a very happy but also very excited cat.  Lots of people see videos of excited cats doing things like climb rock climbing walls or get on small boats and think they are angry or scared, when they aren’t.  Here’s a good example of happy excitement and tension in a cat where the cat’s pleasure is easy to see.  The cat’s tail is lashing and its ears are going backward and forward like crazy, but the cat is not angry, it is merely off its shits because snow is just incredible.  This is a wildly playful cat which might play-attack a hand or other animal because it is so excited, but not out of anger.  Note the zoomies at the end to burn off some of that energy!

Think about it. When we humans do something fun and very physical, our bodies are often tense, at the ready, and a lot of our body language does look kind of aggressive or even scared. Cats are the same!  Animals at play or investigating new things often show some tension, but tension is not the same as anger or fear!

but there actually are some social cues that can be taught. like the obvious one is when someone says “how are you” they usually mean “friendly noise” and are not actually asking how you are, although some people ARE genuinely asking how you are and it’s usually up to the context of your relationship to determine the difference

also that apparently “when you get a chance” usually means “when you take a break from the thing you’re immediately doing” and not “on a list among various other things you are doing today or tomorrow”

and when someone says “i’ll let you get going” they mean “please leave”
