We're playing at the 2024 Philadelphia Folk Fest! We're taking a trip down memory lane to our set from 2018 on the Camp Stage!

It's our 3rd year entering the @nprmusic @tinydeskcontest and we've gone back to the basics. Here is an original tune called "Going South From Richmond" -- it's an audience favorite that we love to play at our live shows.
Going south from Richmond with a guitar in my pack Too far from home to look back Immigration Service on my track, oh Oh no, paranoia's got me down So I turn up my bottle, grab a smoke and wash it down Ain't nothing better for your blues
Maybe I'll send a postcard if ever I get there Too far from home I shouldn't really care What you do or what you say, oh Oh no, I couldn't help but think anyway So I turn up my bottle grab a smoke and wash you away Ain't nothing better for your blues

Music and Lyrics by Ernie Tokay Video Production and Sound Engineering by Ernie Tokay, Owner of Little Spiders Have Big Dreams Studio Thanks to Scott Goldstein for studio assistance!
Gretchen Schultz, of Philadelphia, Pa., is infectiously energetic. She carries the bluesy, guitar-driven number “Spirit Down” with a fiery vocal performance that’s at once defiant and joyful. Her voice has has hints of Susan Tedeschi’s indomitable tones, and Schultz makes the most of that soulfulness in “Spirit Down.”

New Video: “I Can’t See (But I Feel Fine)”
I Can't See (But I Feel Fine) by Kicking Down Doors & Friends
Trouble down below, trouble way up high Can't see the way through the troubled sky Trouble's sure to come, troubles always do And there ain't no rule that's gonna tell me what to do
Standing through the storm, standing on my own Needing to believe that I'm not alone Standing with you now, standing up to fight And there ain't no sleep that's gonna find me here tonight
I can't see two steps ahead of me I can't see what I left behind I don't know where the wild trees grow But I feel the wind and I feel fine
Running on a ledge, running off the road Come a long, long way, but still far to go Running for my life, running for yours too And there ain't no race I won't finish through and through
I can't see two steps ahead of me I can't see what I left behind I don't know where the wild trees grow But I feel the wind and I feel fine
