the great escape artist houdini was living in a time period where mysticism, fortune telling, ouija boards, seances and etc were becoming very common place and trendy. and he fucking hated it so much. so much that he would go to seances in disguise and make some bullshit off the wall shit like “my son died last year can you let me talk to him” and the seance person would be like ‘THIS IS YOUR SON HELLO FATHER’ then he’d rip off his disguise and be like YOU FRAUD I HAVE NO CHILDREN.

He died on Halloween night in detroit and as far as i know every year they hold seances on halloween trying to get in contact with his spirit. If seances work i bet his ghost is just pissed off and not responding out of raw spite.

I seriously need help with this. Its causing me a lot of dysphoria.

Okay

I've identified as transmale/ftm for a few years now but now a dilemma has come up.

I usually see myself as masculine 90% of the time, even going by he pronouns mainly.

But I love lolita fashion and I see myslef as neither male or female in gender when I wear it. This even caused me to put he/they in my bios as such.

The thing that's always bugged me is this.....

If the lolita thing happens, am I really male? Is it genderfluid, nonbinary, or agender instead? Can there be a mix of any of those above? Could I just be one of those but mostly a bit more masculine most of the time?

The other problem is that the moment I show that I want to wear dresses, ill loose all of the "I'm a guy" progress I made with my mom.

And to make matters worse, if I decide that I'm nonbinary/agender/genderfluid I loose any support from my dad because he doesn't believe they're real legit things.

Please help.....

Pride Photo Challenge: Day 5 (June 5th)

Today was today. The day horrible reality I’m forced to be in came crashing in.

Forced to wear makeup and a femanine shirt with a cami and jewlrey. Also, its not that noticeable but I was even forced to wear lip gloss. I tried to force a smile and tell myself that I’m still masculine and still James, but its hard to keep up my pride like this. I found myself barely even being able to smile for the picture.

I just wish there was some way to make this better.

Pride Photo Challenge: Day 4 (June 4th) Went back to school today and summer classes are *so much fun*. Teacher went into a tangent about being discriminated against and then said "people can't change their gender. Well, now they try to but no one really can." So that made my day. (Ultimate sarcasm right there in that last sentence). Though, I managed to sneak out with no makeup and without mom curling my hair. Both things make me really dysphoric and are things I should be able to choose not to do, being 19 and everything. More things to make me doubt my pride but I won't stop. Not until I can be me.

What's funny is that I used to dream of running away ever since elementary school.

Id stand at the wood fense at the end of our old property and just look out there and wonder how far id go. Used to dream of living in the ceiling of the school, right above the ceiling tiles, or just running and not stopping.

That was elementary school.

Now im 19 and I still look out my window and dream about running away as far as I can.

I still never will.

No elementary school aged kid should have to dream about that.

No kid should have to dream about that.

But yet we do

Whether emotional, psychological (like I had), or physical abuse; it should never have to happen.

No kids dreams should be of running.
