I missed the first several minutes of the game so i didn’t get to see Ash taking out Ali… hope someone got it on video or makes gifs of it. Lol!

I got the clip from here. On closer view it looks like Ali couldn't get out of the way fast enough and tried to turn her body, which resulted in the 🍑 to the face. I think Ash was trying grab her to break her fall but then subsequently decided nah fuck that and instead yeeted her forward like John Cena to prevent her from falling face-first. I mean, what gets more Brickwall™️ than taking your wife's whole ass + weight at 40km/h velocity to the face, throwing her off like a javelin, and then casually walking it off like no big deal? so i just finished watching the extended editions of the trilogy which is nearly 13 hrs long and this meme is correct somehow. this is the only line legolas speaks to frodo in the entire series. the only other debatable line is a scene in fellowship where legolas is speaking to gimli but frodo just happens to be near them and he’s cut to for a reaction shot. i wouldn’t really count it though since it wasnt directed at him.

I’m not surprised he said this. Ever since the first season, when they’ve had to do garments for everyday people who aren’t models, there’s always one designer (at the very least) who flips out as though they’ve never in their life considered that people who aren’t a size 0 might wear their clothes. Tim always looks at them like he wants to drown them in a lake.

I love Tim Gunn so much and this is just one of the reasons. The other is that he is asexual and has copped a lot of flack for it in the media but he isn’t ashamed of what he is/is completely happy with who is. Next to Diane Von Furstenberg, he is one of my favourite people in the fashion industry.

We do not, as a world, deserve the goodness that is Tim Gunn. My mom (a large woman in her late-fifties at the time) met him at a lecture and he spent several minutes complimenting her dress (which she made herself) and discussing why she’d had to start making ALL her own clothes (could no longer find nice, pretty things in her size) and then laughing over being the oldest people in the room (since it was a university lecture largely attended by students). My mom hasn’t felt good about her weight in years, but Tim Gunn made her proud of knowing how to dress for her shape and her taste in fabric patterns. According to my brother who witnessed all this, she was beaming.

I would die on a battlefield for Tim Gunn.

nothing will ever piss me off more than how the hunger games provided arguably one of the best critiques of fascism, created an eerily realistic oppressive government regime, highlighted how easy it is to people against each other and glamorize human suffering by throwing a weak love story over the top, fleshed out the metaphor of how it's useless for us to fight with each other when the true enemy are the dictators controlling us, etc and what literally every wannabe YA author (and hollywood, but that's a whole other discussion) took from it all was that love triangles are cool
