My most interesting and elaborate Fakemon yet??
This Fakemon is actually pretty special, because it has three different forms. Now, keep in mind, this is pretty much my first time making a Fakemon with drastic form differences, but I hope you enjoy them.
I was initially reluctant to make such crazy differences in design, but it really does help it stick out more. None of the forms change types despite the differences. I should also mention, none of the forms will experience the "locked into one move" effect that the Choice items are known for.
Alright, I'm going to explain more about why I did what I did for each design, so you can just scroll down a bit to skip, since this is probably going to end up longer than I want it to be.
It's claws turned into a peg because I feel like it's just simpler and makes it seem more nimble. Hawnkid's tail has been turned into just a wisp of energy because it's mostly about being physical now, and I feel like its tail would probably be a weak point, y'know, someone could probably grab it or it would have some drag. Its horns are longer and point backwards to be more aerodynamic.
I just think it's kinda funny to imagine a body part growing so much, you'd probably have trouble lifting it, so that's mostly why it has to put so much effort into lifting its tail. I was also originally going to add a part in the Dex entry about the energy being so powerful, it essentially dulled Hawnkid's senses, so it had to kinda just whip it around at random, but that probably would be too similar to Raggums. But having to handstand makes it kinda look like it's bucking, which fits its more competitive nature.
I took more inspiration from tropes to make this form. Specifically the kind of "A lone warrior sits atop a peak, and only the strongest and most determined can dare to have the chance to meet them". But it's also kinda like Undyne. Also, I love the Sparkle/Shine eyes so giving it a more casual pose while looking directly at the camera makes it seem quite intimidating. It's of course the one most similar to the original Hawnkid, because it don't need to do much.
All of the forms are also kind of references to cursed or demonic abilities. The fire-like ruff for the Speed Form is a reference to, can ya believe it, the fact that demons and Hell in general are associated with fire! The bigger shadowy tail but clear drawback of the Attack Form is more in line with cursed artifacts that seem beneficial, but often have more cons than pros, often including losing sanity, which can make you aggressive. And the terrain altering powers of the Special Atk Form is a reference to rituals to open portals or pits to Hell.
Now, as you can see, it's like a fight fire with fire situation. The reason none of the forms experience the "one move" effect, is because its body is already full of cursed energy, so it cancels that out. I know that's kind of op, but it's stats are going to be kind of mediocre, the highest of course being Speed, Attack, and Special Atk. Also, the stats will change depending on the form, not just raising them, but sometimes lowering others.
Whew, this is really long. Last but not least to mention is the fact this 'mon is based on my lovely Hawnt. So the playfulness and other personality changes are based on her character traits, as well as the whole form changing thing in general.
Let's see if y'all are strong enough to read through this entire post lol.
