I love gideon and harrow and being inside their heads, and I think muir is an actual genius in, among other things, so precisely and thoroughly depicting a completely unique and human point of view, including all of the flaws and biases that come with that. this series would be nowhere near as good without its current style of narration, and way less fun. but what I wouldn’t give for an unbiased telling of the events of the books like please girl I want to know what’s going on. stop hiding things from me just because a weird goth jock doesn’t care about them or a traumatized teenage nun literally removed the part of her brain that is able to understand what’s going on. i beg
