DON’T LEAVE TUMBLR

I know it’s tempting to leave and migrate to Twitter or Deviantart or whatever place to put your content due to the new policies, but DON’T. Let me explain why:

when your space is invaded, do you leave and let them take it? or do you stay because it’s YOUR space.

Leaving Tumblr won’t solve anything. As nonchalant as the staff is, if we leave, the new policy will stay in tact and NOTHING will be fixed.

We have to stay right here and tell the staff to go fuck themselves (Not literally, don’t harass the staff with threats or something) and do whatever we can to let them know their rules ain’t shit. Fix it.

it could take awhile. Weeks, a month, but we HAVE to kill this new policy.

Make petitions, videos, posts, but DO NOT LEAVE TUMBLR until they learn how to fix their shit.

@staff could you actually fix your shit instead of flagging and deleting every depiction of humans regardless of context. I have a blog where pictures of people who are hugging, driving, or just modeling clothes have been flagged and I assume are set to be taken down. I never comment on anything but this is lazy bullshit.

EA RELEASED STAR WARS BATTLEFRONT AND EVERYONE THOUGHT THAT THE PFP WASN’T GONNA BE TERRIBLE UNTIL IT WAS. IT WAS JUST AWFUL. SO EVERYONE SAID LET’S STOP BUYING IT. AND IT WORKED WHEN NO ONE BOUGHT IT AND PROTESTED. EA LOST 3BILLION DOLLARS BECAUSE PEOPLE STOOD UP FOR THEMSELVES.

EA KNEW THEY FUCKED UP SO BAD THAT THEY ARE NOW OFFERING FREE TRIALSHIPS FOR BATTLEFIELD 5 A MONTH AFTER THEIR RELEASE DATE BECAUSE PEOPLE ARE STILL PROTESTING.

DO NOT SIT HERE AND TAKE IT LEAVE TUMBLR FOR A MONTH AND TAKE YOUR BLOGS ELSEWHERE. DRAW YOUR ART ON A DIFFERENT PLATFORM. WRITE YOUR NOVELS IN A BETTER MORE ACCEPTING PLACE. I CAN’T BELIEVE I CAME TO SEE HOW EVERYONE WAS HANDLING THIS AND Y’ALL ARE TRYING TO ROLL OVER AND THINK IT’LL JUST GET BETTER IF YOU HOPE REALLY HARD??? NO. IT. FUCKING. WON’T. STAND. UP. FOR. you are not an anime character. your actions impact others and do not only exist in theory. nobody is required to stick around for your tragic backstory or to learn the reasons behind your actions. if you treat people like garbage, they are allowed to think of you as a jerk and nothing more. nobody is obligated to analyze you or think twice when you hurt them. similarly, you are not required to stick around to listen to other people’s reasons for treating you like trash. you can call them a jerk, cut them out of your life, and call it a day.
