Wherein Iris convinces the judging commitee of giant vegetable competition that Dent/Cilan is really a super-rare vegetable grown only in her village that tricks people into seeing it as a person as a defense mechanism, isn’t it neat?

They buy it and he wins first place after weighing. It was all for the prize money!

(Satoshi/Ash is in a dress because she’s passing him off as a shy, young bride because he won’t stop making embarrassed faces through her schemes anyway, so he’s only convincing as a shy girl).

Don’t judge this on the awful art, it’s just for laughs.  I haven’t used pens in ages I was terrified the entire time – the pencil sketches were more lively.

Another old drawing from when I still mostly drew characters tall and lanky (I miss the more detailed hair, though, that was fun!).

Trip is shoving a beachball into Ash’s chest because he accidentally hit him with it (disturbing his beach-side reading/studying), Ash is apologetic but still kinda amused, Pikachu is annoyed, Iris is telling everybody not to fight (have a Pokemon battle instead!), Cilan takes care of Pansage who (ironically) got heat exhaustion from all the sun!

Iris, with wings, as I played her in Luceti (she was heartofdragons and we had a lovely BW! trio cast)!

She’s still ten, I just had trouble drawing younger characters back then, so everyone looked tall and lanky. ^^;;;

I was primarily a Team Rocket fan prior to Best Wishes!, the BW! trio were the first protagonists I loved so much...
