Hello, it's me, your average simp for fictional characters.

Kona. Mid end twenties, she/her, English is not my native language. Supporting Kabuto world domination and a few other fandoms. Other hyperfixation: ferrets.

Sometimes I write stuff, sometimes language barrier sucks and I get frustrated. Language struggle + my neurodivergent brain often leads to me not answering or keeping interaction to an absolute minimum. honestly I fucking lost it at "Tsunade having to accomodate Dan's/Nawaki's killers in the village", oh god. The narrative is so Konoha-centered it really wraps your perception of how absurd and out of touch some of the stuff Konoha gang does is.

I'll be real with you I don't think Tsunade was thinking much when she sent those three to Suna (when the standard formation is four and there was conveniently plot timed Temari down the line lol), she was probably tired and hangover when she got Suna's urgent report. like who gives a fuck what those desert losers have going on, we've got our own issues, here, get the first people who came into my office this morning. and then she got a good nap and a proper breakfast and realized huh, Akatsuki are probably a big issue for all of us, better send someone actually fitting the mission (team Gai)

funnily enough the plot actually adresses the Sakura-shaped elephant in the room, Chiyo was absolutely expecting someone dogshit as a Konoha iryonin, and Sakura saving Kankuro is treated as good feels moment and a cure for Chiyo's boomer nationalism lmao. I like your Tsunade mogging Chiyo interpretation better

being 100% with you Naruto being allowed out of the village as a helpless bum of a shinobi who needs an emergency chakra injection from Kurama every other battle is a mystery to be resolved since like chapter 1. at times it genuinely feels like everyone in position of authority has room temperature IQ or is actively trying to kill Naruto. at this point Akatsuki would have been better off guarding Naruto themselves just to not have him die in the stupidest way possible and be forced to wait for Kurama to respawn on the shinobi world server

One of my college professors used to say “anything worth doing is worth doing poorly.”  I didn’t understand that for years because I didn’t do anything poorly, I couldn’t do anything poorly, I had to Do Everything Perfectly.

But brushing your teeth for 30 seconds is better than not brushing them at all when that 2 minutes seems exhausting.  Doing ten minutes of yoga is better than 10 minutes of sitting when 30 minutes of cardio sounds impossible.  Changing my clothes is good when a whole shower is impossible.  Standing on the porch for a few minutes is worth it after being in the house for three straight days because I don’t have the energy to go anywhere.

Anything worth doing is worth doing poorly… because doing it poorly is better than not doing it.

You must understand that perfectionism isn’t striving for excellence, it’s a crippling fear of being flawed and therefore worth abandonment or punishment. It’s a kind of psychological avoidance. Kabuto is genuinely terrifying and we didn't get to see that enough. Anyone other than the main cast can't fight him, and that's only if he decides to fight at all. Which he usually does not. Far better at stealth.

Found another good Kabuto&Naruto fic, a good role reversal where Naruto goes to Otogakure. Sasuke/Naruto.

I like how things end off for them, it's fun to see Kabuto like Naruto but it not preventing Kabuto from continuing on as the worst kind of person. Delightful betrayal.

Highly recommend though it isn't Kabuto centric or all that centered on their relationship. Just for thar vibe.
