Work Description: This auction is for one full color two-page comic. Each page will be traditional art, around 8"x10" and created with colored pencil. “Needing to kiss to hide from bad guys” for Matt and Foggy cause I’m a masochist. Bonus points if Foggy is the one who initiates to keep Matt safe.

Hmmm. Pain?? We’re looking for pain here??

Matt’s planning on fighting, because of course he is. Ten guys with guns and knives? No problem for Daredevil the reckless wonder. Hiding, running, living to fight another day? Not even in his vocabulary. Foggy, for one, is tired of seeing his best friend cut to ribbons all the time. The guy’s got more scars than a patchwork quilt. He’s not going to stand around being protected while these guys — who were after him in the first place, not Matt at all until Daredevil stuck his nose into things — attack Matt. It’s not going to happen. There has to be a better way.

“They’re still a block away,” Matt notes, head tilted. “Getting closer. I think this should be a good spot. Just— stay behind the dumpster, and don’t come out til I tell you.”

Foggy’s almost too angry to voice how much he’s not going to do that, but he manages. And so ensues a very heated whispered argument that lasts until even Foggy can hear the men chasing them approaching the mouth of the alley. Matt grabs him by the arm to try and shove him into hiding, but Foggy, who’s had a sudden epiphany, holds his ground.

“Helmet off!” he hisses.

“What? Foggy, I can’t—”

“Off! And put on my coat!”

With copious amounts of shoving, Matt finally does as he’s told. With a coat covering the most blatantly armor-like portions of his dumb costume, and no horns, Matt looks about as normal as Foggy can make him; the poor lighting will have to do the rest.

“Foggy, what are you—”

Matt’s getting more frantic. But Foggy doesn’t have time to let him finish his question or to answer it. The gangsters have just stepped into the mouth of he alley.

So he grabs Matt by the lapels and yanks him into a kiss. For the first few seconds, Matt is utterly still and frozen. Foggy attempts to make up for it by being embarrassingly vocal, the kind of B-grade ‘mmm’s and moans you hear on soap operas. It seems to work at least, as he hears the men looking for them stumble to a stop.

It takes Matt another three seconds to get with the program, which is— yeah, ok, fair. First off the guy’s a beacon of heterosexuality, and second off he was not privy to the plan. But he makes up for it pretty enthusiastically, moving one hand to clutch at the back of Foggy’s shirt and the other to tangle in his hair, and then using that leverage to back them both against the alley wall.

There’s a moment where Foggy considers that Matt’s acting is... Weirdly good for someone not attracted to guys.

But then he does something with his tongue that makes Foggy’s knees buckle and he decides not to question it. If Matt’s embracing his role to the point that he’s also fulfilling some idle fantasies Foggy’s had since he was eighteen and foolishly attracted to his roommate, well. No one has to know.

He maybe kind of loses the thread for a minute. But also, Foggy would defy any red-blooded attracted-to-men person not to get caught up in Matt’s kissing.

Of course, with working thoughts comes the realization that this kiss isn’t... Its happening, but it’s not real. That fills his stomach with a leaden feeling real fast. Foggy pulls out of the kiss.

“Are they gone?” he gasps out, his head still spinning a little bit trying to get back on track again.

He can just barely make out Matt wetting his lips through the gloom, and shivers.

“Yeah um,” says Matt. “Yeah they’re, they’re gone.”

He’s gotta salvage this. Gotta reel it back into... Into what it was supposed to be in the first place — a performance to keep gangsters off their trail.

“Good, uh, acting.”

“Yeah,” comes the reply, and awkwardness begins to suffuse the air around them. “Acting.”

Foggy wants to say something, anything, but not a single word comes to mind. So he’s utterly silent as Matt picks up his helmet from the ground and shoves it back on, obscuring his eyes from view once again. He’s utterly silent as Matt strips off the borrowed coat and presses it back into Foggy’s arms.

“Let’s get you home,” Matt says at last, sounding almost— angry.

Foggy nods. Narrates it hesitantly. Matt doesn’t wait for more confirmation before striding towards the mouth of the alley. His steps are rigid, tense. Foggy has the feeling he’s fucked things up on a fundamental level with that stupid kiss. But there’s nothing for it now. So he trails after Matt until he’s safely back in his apartment to regret all his life choices.

This is my @daredevilexchange for @kowaiyoukai.

I hope you all have a great and happy new year! Unfortunately my tablet died in the middle of this work, so I had to make do with what I had. Still, I had a lot of fun doing it.

Just like a magic potion, I’ve put a pinch of each element of the prompt here and I think they will identify them in each piece.

[ID: first art: Digital drawing of Matt and Foggy walking on a street. The street is in shades of gray and has some snow residue. The doors behind them are lit by colorful Christmas decoration lights. Matt is wearing dark gray pants and black long-sleeved shirts, sunglasses and a red scarf. Beside him, there are two steps with snow residue that lead to a door and a yellowish lamp illuminating the top of his head. He has a slight smile and his face is turned to where Foggy’s pointing. Foggy’s right behind him wearing a gray sweater, black pants, a beanie and carrying some bags on his shoulders. His hair is shoulder-length and he has a wide smile looking at something and pointing in that direction. Their hands are very close to each other.

Second art: Two forearms drawn showing only a piece of the sleeve of your clothes. Their hands are lightly touching their little fingers. Matt’s hand is lightly colored in a shade of red and purple and stains Foggy’s hand when he touches it. In the background, written in red, a phrase: Stay with me, baby stay with me. Tonight don’t leave me alone. Walk with me, come and walk with me.

Third art: Matt and Foggy side by side drawn in shades of gray. The only highlight is Matt’s scarf and small red horns. Both have shy smiles looking at each other’s post. In Matt, however, you can see his teeth. Behind them the red phrase: I’m not sure what this is gonna be. But with my eyes closed all I see.

Fourth art: Matt and Foggy with their backs walking down the street in shades of gray. Matt has his arm around Foggy’s shoulder and Foggy has his head on Matt’s shoulder. The snow is falling lightly and Matt’s red scarf is dancing in the air.

Fifth art: Nelsons kitchen drawing in shades of gray and blue. Theo is leaning against the kitchen counter, holding a small bowl and spoon. He’s smiling with his mouth full. He has wavy hair and is wearing a long sleeve shirt. Anna is stirring some kind of food in a pan with a spoon She is small and has shoulder-length wavy hair. Ed is slightly ahead of Theo and behind Anna waving to Matt and Foggy. Foggy is climbing the stairs a few steps ahead of Matt. He’s holding Matt by the hand and leading him.

Sixth art: Matt and Foggy on the roof of the house. Foggy is holding Matt’s hand and in the other he has a bag. The sky is starry and has a small half moon above the buildings with the windows lit up. Their hair is being lifted by the wind. Above and near the moon is written the phrase in blue letters: The moon above you and the streets below. At the top of the art is a highlighted drawing of Foggy taking a red fabric out of his bag. At the center of the art, there is a drawing only of Matt’s torso taking off his shirt. His body is stained with bruises and next to him the phrase: Hold my breath as you’re moving in.

At the bottom of the art, Matt’s face is highlighted. Foggy’s heart rate is aligned behind Matt and he is smiling slightly when he hears it. Just below the heart rate is the phrase: Taste your lips and feel your skin.

Seventh art: Just Matt’s torso and Foggy’s hand touching one of several of his scars. Next to it, Matt puts his hand above Foggy’s. In the middle, Matt holds Foggy’s two hands and dark colors stand out staining both hands. In the corner of the drawing, Matt is smiling wearing the sweater he got from Foggy. His glasses are hanging over his face and his hair is a little messy. The sweater is red and a little too big for him. Beside, a highlight for Matt’s arm and his hand with some bruises, taking something out of his pants pocket.

Eighth art: Eight panels with Foggy’s eyes highlighted. At first he is looking down. In the second he is looking up. On the third his eyes are full of tears and on the last his tears are streaming. His hair is messed up differently on each of the panels as if it were messed up by the movement of the winds. The background is blue and there are some phrases in it: I’m not sure what this is gonna go. But in this moment all I know. Is the skyline, through the window.The moon above you and the streets below. Baby don’t let go.

Ninth art: Foggy launched himself at Matt for a hug. Matt is holding him tight and Foggy has his face buried in Matt’s shoulder and chest. The background behind it is dark blue and blurred. The phrase: Darling you don’t have to run, is superimposed on them, written in blue, below the middle of the drawing.

Tenth art: Matt and Foggy are sitting on the rooftop rampart watching the city. Matt has an arm around Foggy’s shoulder and Foggy has his head on Matt’s shoulder. Their hair is blowing in the wind. Next to them, on the rampart there is the gift that Matt gave Foggy. And highlighted, a zoom of this gift. Two keys attached to a heart-shaped key ring in delicate orange and pink tones. In the middle of the key chain a phrase in Braille: I love you. Below them the sentence on the rampart: Just stay with me. End ID]
