constantine, 2005
What would you do if you were scrolling through recommended tumblr posts and one was from someone you don't know and it was just a picture of your dad captioned "fucking hate this guy" and it had hundreds of notes
reblog it
Back like one hundred years ago cave women woild have to kill shit with their teeth. And their pussy out. They were also like twenty feet tall and psychic.
if you spoke to lestat or louis about your pain, they would say, "your pain? what about MY pain?" but if you spoke about your pain to armand he would say "let me lobotomize you and you will never feel pain again." he has a solution-based mindset and we could all learn from him.
Happy birthday, Assata Shakur! (July 16, 1947)
An icon of anti-imperialist struggle, Assata Skakur was born in New York City and became aware at a young age of the prejudice and discrimination faced by Black people in the United States. She became a student activist in the 1960s, and soon learned that the forces of bourgeois law enforcement would not tolerate dissent from the status quo. Traveling to Oakland, she linked up with the Black Panther Party, helping organize community programs and protests. Dissatisfied with the direction of the BPP, she joined the Black Liberation Army, a more militant organization modeled after the Viet Cong and other armies of national liberation. Shakur and the BLA were quickly labeled terrorists, and she was imprisoned for several years for her activities. However, Shakur's comrades freed her from prison, and she fled into political exile in Cuba, where she remains today. She has published several writings including her autobiography Assata, which cover a variety of topics ranging from race to revolution.
“People get used to anything. The less you think about your oppression, the more your tolerance for it grows. After a while, people just think oppression is the normal state of things. But to become free, you have to be acutely aware of being a slave.”
Other cast members, visibly annoyed about being asked about Riverdale three years after it ended: well, you know, it began my career and I will always be grateful for that, but yeah it was a weird show for sure
Lili Reinhart, unprompted, on her personal social media: remember Betty Cooper? god I miss that psycho bitch. She was so horny for Veronica.

I really can and will blame the 9-5 for everything. "We're in a loneliness epidemic" well, we have to spend a third of our day interacting with people in a professional way that makes forming real friendships difficult and then we're peopled out by the time we're done. "People are eating more and more unhealthily" people have to spend more than a third of their day doing work related tasks and they don't want to spend their tiny amount of free time making food. "People aren't involved in their local communities" after spending more than a third of their day doing work related things people are tired and also all those community events take place during normal working hours. "People need to get more hobbies" after spending more than a third of their day working, people are TIRED and don't want to do anything that takes yet more energy. "Literacy is dying" to maintain your critical thinking skills you need to read/watch things that make you think and after spending more than a third of your day doing work related stuff you are TIRED and don't want to expend even more brainnpower. "People need to get outside more" People. Are. TIRED. Because they have to spend all of their time working or preparing for work or recovering from work or doing all the chores they couldn't stay on top of because of work. I can blame fucking anything on having to work, it is truly the root of all fucking evil.
