Warning: fluff, tickling, and soft content with NO smut
It was a warm day in Oahu Hawaii, and thankfully no case has been called in. So McGarrett made the old stop to his partner Danny Williams house, where Danny and his daughter Grace sat on the couch together. McGarrett entered without knocking, causing Danny to almost spill his hot coffee all over himself. "Jesus christ Steve, have you ever heard of knocking?!" Asked the very angry man from New Jersey in his sweatpants and t-shirt. Before McGarrett could tell him to stop being so over dramatic, Grace beamed in excitement. "Uncle Steve!" She practically exploded as she nearly knocked the man over with a big hug, Steve made a "oof" sound right before returning the embrace. Of course after a couple seconds he starts his lighthearted 'argument' with his best friend and partner. "Alright Danno listen, you leave your door unlocked all the damn time! Okay, something is bond to happen!" McGarrett rubbed his eyes like an angry dad before sitting on the couch like he owned the place, Grace followed and sat in between them.
Danny was not happy at all, he sat there like a sour puss with a grumpy look on his face. His daughter notices this and poked him lightly in the stomach, causing Danny to gasp slightly. "Chear up Danno, it's only uncle Steve!" She smiled at her dad who seemingly softens as he looks at his daughters face. Steve though was now way to interested, staring with a raised brow and a smirk. "What was that?" McGarrett asked in a smug tone, and Danny immediately turned to him, pointing his finger at his partner. "That was nothing Steve, just my daughter getting her father's attention, drop it!" His jersey accent was thick, something that happens when he's mad or nervous. McGarrett followed Danny into the kitchen as the jersey man goes for another cup of coffee, Steve is still on that topic though. He stopped next to the coffee pot where Danny stood, pouring a fresh cup of coffee and adding his usual light cream and sugar. "Oh c'mon Danny you can't just say that was nothing! You gasped when Grace poked ya, I'm your buddy you can tell me anything!" McGarrett tried to sound trustworthy but Danny wasn't having it, he sipped on his cup and shook his head as they both made their way back into the living room.
"No, no, no, Steve! I can't tell you anything because the more you know about me, the more stuff you can use to your advantage. The last thing I need is for you to have more things to make my life miserable with!" Grace watches and listens to the bickering as the two sit down again, Danny sets his mug on the coffee table. McGarrett decided to just ask. It's obvious to him that Danny has to crack, and he has always been good at that. "Alright, Danno, I guess you left me no other choice!" The man paused as he studied his partners face, nervous but a mix of curiosity, and then he asks his question without a stutter. "Are you ticklish, Danny?" He asked it in his interrogation voice, low but without the bite. Danny felt his heart drop as Grace was silently laughing into her hand. "Pfft- what?! Nooo Steve, that's childish. Besides, I wouldn't be a cop if I was. You know it making people higher torture risks?!" Danny was bluffing and spitting nonsense, McGarrett and Grace could see that. Steve tested his theory by wrestling his partner onto the carpeted floor. They wrestled around until Steve (using navy seal techniques) won the upper hand. Now, with a sore back, cracked ego, and rug burned arms and hands, Danny was even more upset. "Steve, what the hell is wrong with you?!" He asks with anger dripping through his tone.
Before Danny could keep his lecture up he noticed McGarrett's smirk, and he immediately put the pieces together. "Wait, wait, wait! McGarrett please, we can talk about this like adults!" The blond man begged through nervous giggling, but McGarrett just turned his head to Grace. "Hey monkey, help me out here!" Steve tells the twelve year old smugly, she pretends to think for a second. "Go for his ribs!" She replies in no time, and Danny's heart stopped. Before he could reply McGarrett was already pressed his fingers into Danny's ribcage, scratching a light but dreadfully tickly feeling on his torso. Danny started snickering quietly and pushing at McGarrett, but Steve wasn't having it. He started moving his fingers more, a way to break the stubborn blonde under him. This time Danny fell into frantic giggles, higher then his normal laugh, and McGarrett was beaming at his new found discovery, like a little kid on Christmas day. "Steve! Hehey, stahap!" Danny giggled out, his giggles became a squeal followed by frantic high pitched laughter. McGarrett moved to Danny's stomach, which had him in hysterical laughter. "Awww tickle, tickle, tickle Danny!" McGarrett teased in a high pitched voice. After a few minutes Steve stops, leaving a helpless, giggling mess Danny Williams on the floor.
"Thanks, Grace, big help! Maybe your dad will finally chear up!" McGarrett high fives Grace as she laughs. Danny lies on the floor, catching his breath, and eventually, he gets up and goes straight for Steve, who tries to run but fails miserably. Now, the room is full of Steve's laughter. Both guys laugh in a friendly tickle fight. Grace watches the 30 something year old men as they laugh and wrestle each other on the carpet.
