Matilda (1996) dir. Danny DeVito
1.) a court of what the fuck amarantha
2.) a court of fuck you tamlin
3) a court of shit is about to go down
4.) a court of feysand content
5.) a court of healing
You know how Feyre wrote Tamlin the letter saying she was happy with Rhys and didn’t wanna go back to the Spring Court, but he didn’t believe it because he still thought she was illiterate?
She was able to read at the Spring Court. She spent her days reading entire novels just waiting for Tamlin to come back, but he never saw/noticed because he was out looking for a way to break the curse instead of being with her.
If he had paid any attention to her, asked her what she did that day, or even if he missed her entirely, asked some guards/servants what she was doing, he would’ve known she could read.
Which brings us to the conclusion that either he didn’t ask - and they thought it was true love? Damn he’s a douche.
Or, that he did but didn’t believe she was actually reading - which makes him a condescending douche. Like she’s been turning pages in a book all day and he thinks she’s faking it?
Either way, I know we all hate Tamlin and this is just one more reason to, but the fact that her literacy overlapped with her stay at the Spring Court I find often forgotten.
I think it'd be pretty funny if the next time an adult tells me I'm being Rude And Disrespectful™ I just went "ya it's because I don't respect you" and watch the gates of hell open before me
Telling a boomer they're not automatically entitled to my respect just to feel something

My sister called it a waste of time and I want to prove her wrong.
Some of the best stories I’ve ever read were fanfiction.

lemme just be a fandom grandma for a sec:
you’re allowed to just - not like a thing. be it a show, a plotline, a character, a pairing whatever. you just be like “i do not Vibe with this” and move on. you don’t need to explain your preferences, you don’t need to discover some way in which you can call the thing “””problematic””” to justify you not liking it. if something doesn’t spark joy within you, that’s absolutely valid enough.
Death is like an old friend who pays a visit, sometimes when it’s least expected and other times when you’re waiting for her. It’s neither the first nor the last time she’ll pay a visit, but that doesn’t make any death less harsh or unforgiving.
