gathering concepts for the forest scene

Having trouble developing the design of the main villain in the story-the Flower Empress (the goddess of spring)At first i was trying to add so much detail and accessories because she is a elegant, powerful, and superior character. But it didn’t work well. Then i tried another way, emphasize the “flower” concept, soften the line and figure. And i quite like the outcome!

The coloring was automatically done by PaintsChainer, the result is tooo gooood it blown up my mind so i decide to place them here.

 Some rough sketches of character design, most of them are the protagonist of the story whom i named YA, a skinny but lovable little kid in my imagination. living in a nomadic village at north far away from the kingdom, the tattered clothes and the messy hair bun make it hard to tell if the kid were a girl or a boy. and secretly he/she seems to have some magical power :)
