Some cute dancing after some training. Iris and Estinien really took to it after they visited Thavnir, and use it to spar and keep in step with each other in combat.

Quiet before a Storm.

I just kinda miss Iris. Blabbing about her was one of my favorite things to do, and this screenshot really kinda nailed her as a character.

Iris can come off as naive and bubbly, but part of her is always stuck in this loop of melancholy. She smiles for others, but at the end of the day, who smiles for her? In A Realm Reborn, she wants to help the Scions because it's the only thing she has been offered since she became a refugee (she's Ala Migan). It turned into a deep friendship with all of them, and the first feeling of a home she'd had in years.

The subsequent losses, tragedies, and close calls, Iris has always tried to be upbeat. But I think nearly losing Estinien really broke something inside her. Being unable to save Haurchefant was one thing... But watching a man she saw as her rival, then her friend get possessed and turned into a weapon against her really made her stomach drop.

The battle against Nidhogg was so strenuous, I think it actually came the closest to killing her. After Estinien was freed, Iris collapsed as her heart gave out due to the exertion of the battle. It was tense to say if she would pull through for a while.

Hmm... Do I start posting stuff about my Warrior of Light here?... I do miss chatting about her a lot, and I am starting to get better at screenshots. Maybe I can do some art, too...

The bug got me again.

I really wasn't sure about posting just one pic at a time or not, but I guess I'm just dumping all the ones I had so far of the original version of The Big Merman AU! Tho for the original, I'll just be calling it The Giant Merman! Also the second pic is an alt of this one (I included both the shaded and non shaded just so people can see his coloring better).

I honestly don't have a whole lot figured out so far and the differences, but obviously they are still quite similar to Bobby and Pietro in looks but also in personality a bit. I think they also kind of grew as their own characters just by being in a different kind of setting, so I felt it worked branching off. I came up with the names Sylvanus for the mer and Ronan for the human.

I still am trying to figure out if I'd have it where Sylvanus actually didn't speak English at first, but if he didn't, I think he would learn surprisingly fast bc he's very intelligent. I think Ronan would also be a bit more into science and would basically spend a lot of time tutoring Sylvanus on language and all he knows about how the world works. I think Sylvanus might actually get better at spelling than Ronan is haha One other difference I guess would be that he'd be buck ass naked when he first comes to land haha I guess there are a bit more similarities to Splash with some of this. Regular fish out of water kind of story. But I think it might be fun to have as a book maybe if I can get that going~

I hope you guys also enjoy these original versions! I still will continue having fun with the mer AU as is with Bobby and Pietro as well, but I did also want to do this!

Just a little something I had talked about before. I really should draw the other characters more but I, of course, am obsessed with my boys and they keep getting all the attention. TToTT

Also that is Jubilee with a haircut! I had drawn her with her hair in the show, but tbh, it's one of the designs I never really liked in the show bc her hair looks almost exactly like Amara's and she doesn't stand out much when she normally has such an iconic look to her. Tho I guess she really is such a minor character in Evo and then isn't around for most of the last half sadly. But yeah! I did also give her a new look when she eventually gets a suit too.

Also Sam is normally just 6" but he gives off such tall boy energy to me that I just went with him getting taller still. He's just so gawky, you know?? I also have this headcanon that he is really into ornithology and botony.
