It is with the deepest frustrations that I must report Microsoft has pushed out Copilot onto Microsoft Word no matter what your previous settings were. If you have Office because you paid for it/are on a family plan/have a work/school account, you can disable it by going to Options -> click on Copilot -> uncheck 'Enable Copilot'.

(Note, you may not see this option if you haven't updated lately, but Copilot will still pop up. Updating should give you this option. I will kill Microsoft with my bare hands.)

In addition, Google has forced a roll-out of it's Gemini AI on all American accounts of users over 18 (these settings are turned off by default for EU, Japan, Switzerland, and UK, but it doesn't hurt to check).

To remove this garbage, you must go to Manage Workspace smart feature settings for all your Gmail/Drive/Chat and turn them off. Go to Settings -> See all settings -> find under "Genera" the "Google Workspace smart features" -> turn smart feature setting off for both Google Workspace and all other Google products and hit save. (If you turned off the smart settings in your Gmail, it never hurts to open Drive and double-check that they're set to off there too.)

Quick Edit: I found the easiest way to get to the Smart Feature settings following the instructions above was to do it through Drive. Try that route first.

Now is the time to consider switching to Libre Office if you haven't already.

Okay, all other Microsoft settings addition: If your Microsoft 365 apps don't yet have the Enable Copilot checkbox, you can turn off Copilot by changing your account privacy settings. This worked when I tried it, but it's a fucking pain.

In your app (for example, PowerPoint), go to File > Account > Account Privacy > Manage Settings.

Under Connected experiences, clear the Turn on experiences that analyze your content checkbox.

Select OK, and then close and restart the app.

If you're using Word365, they've really buried this option. Wow.

From the File menu, choose More, then Options:

Go to Trust Center -> Trust Center Settings -> Privacy Options -> Privacy Settings...

...where FINALLY you get to the "Turn on optional connected experience" feature which is the thing you want turned OFF. This prevents (for now) Copilot integration with Word.

Spyro: has a more "outlandish" appearance due to having traveled in other Realms and absorbing the ambient magic. his magic manifests in his hard-as-diamond horns, which tend to glow with heat when he gets fired up. his chest also glows hot when he's about to breathe fire, and if you're particularly keen-eyed, you can see it coming up his neck. due to his horns being quite dense, Spyro is the least-adept at keeping himself airborne. it takes quite a bit of effort of his part to lift his body. while unable to engulf himself in flames (yet), he is able to raise his body temperature to become unbearably hot. his adventures have given him incredible physical endurance, and while he may not be winning the races, he's definitely winning the marathon. Spyro can run for what seems like hours before tiring out.

Cynder: stolen away as a young whelp, Cynder was kept captive and trained to be "a dangerous pet" for The Sorceress. Spyro saved her and while she has made strides in her recovery, she is still traumatized and tends to keep her body in peak condition, should she ever need to fight or flee. this includes sharpening her horns and tail. her elemental abilities include a corrosive acid that she can spit, and the ability to breathe a thick smoke. this smoke is nearly black, very harsh to breathe in, and usually causes long-term respiratory issues. she's taken a liking to jewellery as a way to express her individuality. the large hole in her left wing causes instability when she flies, so her tail has become quite strong to keep stable. she's taller and lankier than the other kids.

Flame: contrary to his fiery appearance, Flame bears a very chill personality and is the most likely to be found relaxing in the shade of a tree. its not hard to wake him though, as he sports an almost unending appetite and an almost dog-like sense of smell. oversized spark glands are to blame for his nearly-constant smoking. these glands also produce a spark when he speaks. his name also ties to his abilities, as he's able to breathe fire just as well as Spyro. He's also the best at flying, able to manipulate the heat around his body to create small air currents. Flame is the only kid dragon capable of taking off from a standstill.

Ember: large and stocky, with a sloped back like a German shepherd dog. she's the only one of the kids with fur and feathers, or external ears! her hearing is the best, but not during flight. she's the only one that has to worry about getting wet. she sports retractable claws, which means they're the sharpest. don't make her angry; if she doesn't scratch you, she'll charge you like a bull. once ember starts running, there's little that can stop her: several dragon elders claim she's felled rock walls. she naturally speaks a little too loudly, and is the Loudest Scream Competition champion. the competition hasn't been held again since she won. she can release a sweet-smelling, disarming scent from the tuft of her tail. get necklace is a memento from her grandmother and she will fight you over it.

Hi everyone, I've been agonizing over posting this for a couple days now because I don't feel comfortable e-begging, and honestly If i keep thinking to hard about it I'm just never gonna be able to make it so I'm going to jump in.

My name is Ruby, I'm a mentally ill queer women living in TX, and am currently unemployed. I had a new job lined up and was even told when to come in for training, only to receive an email the day off my first day of training telling me they were no longer interested in hiring me. My roommates and I were supposed to move in February but I still have to cover rent for this month, and due to allot of factors both within myself and outside myself I've been too mentally unstable to maintain a job. My only options are food service and retail and I feel trapped because of it.
