Train To Nowhere || Saki & Tohru

   Tohru instantly accepted her friends open arms, leaning into the hug with warm gratefulness. As strange as it sounded, Hana-Chan and Uo-Chan were the only people she really recieved hugs from. Not that it wasn’t expected by anyone who knew the truth about the Souma family – it would be far too invasive and dangerous for her to go around embracing them all the time, and the last thing Tohru wanted was to trouble anyone. And so she relished in the closeness of Saki, a smile brightening on her face. 

   “Yes!” Tohru answered happily, releasing Saki gently and allowing the sleeves of Kyo’s jacket to fall over her hands once more. “Turns out I was enrolled in Rosewood College, even though I haven’t gotten my diploma from the high school yet!” She exclaims. Kyo had been the first to go missing, just three days before they were all meant to graduate. Graduation had meant everything to Tohru, seeing as it was something her mother had never gotten to do and wanted for her, and so she refused to accept her certificate until all her friends could be by her side as she did so. Besides, Tohru didn’t think Kyo would want to graduate alone, either. 

   “What about you, Hana-Chan? How are you settling in?”

     Ah yes, the bright warmth that Tohru had radiated was always very welcoming to the gothic female. The girl was always that bright light at the end of her dark tunnel, always leading her to the world that she lived in. She was the sun that made the snow melt because it was just so welcoming.

     As she felt her friend move she released the brunette as she let the warm small smile still grace her lips. So even she was enrolled within the college. Maybe in this world, they didn’t care for what grade you had really graduated in? Saki had just thought of the college and suddenly she had found out she was enrolled without any questions asked. Very strange, maybe Wonderland worked on a different level on schooling then their world did?

     Who knew, the raven-haired female-only cared for being with Tohru.

     Coming back to reality she had zoned out faintly but was quick to answer the girl’s question. “I have been settling in well here.” Always Tohru to ask about other people before herself. Worry as well, it made her heart swell with love even more for her dear friend. “Though, just like you, I have discovered to be enrolled within Rosewood College too.” 

       Hopefully, she wouldn’t have to deal with the gym anymore. If so she would find a way to get out of it if she could.

      “Where you off to somewhere Tohru? She grasped onto the pole as the train jerked in motion - holding a hand behind Tohru so she wouldn’t fall over she cocked her head to the side in curiosity.

A cat | Saki & Kyo

Wonderland was anything except for wonderful. Yes, he had accepted that he was stuck here for a while, and Kyo even attempted to live by the rules and live life. But fate was cruel, and he regularly transformed into a cat because of some ditzy person that wasn’t paying attention. It was bothersome to have to go through this.

Especially when people saw him and accused the little orange cat of being the cunning Cheshire Cat. Kyo had never even met the bugger, but he had a damned bone to pick with the feline. The Cat wasn’t making anything in his life easier. But the zodiac cat never had an easy way with anything.

Today Kyo wandered the streets with his hands tucked into his pockets. He was bored but didn’t want to go home. And he didn’t have work today. What a shame. Nothing good ever happened-

The sudden person behind him did cause Kyo a spook. He looked at the familiar voice and yelled in shock, taking a few steps backward. “Hanajima, what are you doing here?!”

     “Ah, yes.” She swooned by his waves as she rested a hand on her cheek in bliss. The reaction that she was hoping would happen and the results did not fail. Letting out a laugh she looked at him while tilting her head to the side. “I was brought here by a cat.” Remembering the abnormal animal that was quite unusual she then turned her dark eyes on the orange male. “I’m sure you were brought here in the same manner.”

     Relaxing her posture with arms in front of her she cocked her head to the side. Surprising Kyo, Yuki, and Shigure were always a fun thing to do for the female. Their reactions and waves were so pleasant to her that it was kind of like a drug. In truth, she wondered if she would have a run-in with the other Sohma males.

     Turning her attention back to the male she spoke. “Oh, thank you for watching out for Tohru.” She was referencing the oversized jacket that he had given to her. Which simply made Tohru look even more adorable.

  It was so nice to be near one of her closest friends again, her heart prepared to leap right from her chest with joy. Saki hadn’t been doing anything in particular to excite her, but Tohru being Tohru and Hana simply being herself was more than enough. Perhaps Wonderland wasn’t so bad!

  After all, Kyo had made it, she heard talk of Yuki hanging around, and then she had met Hana-Chan by complete accident. All that was left were the remaining few of her friends at home and it would be as though Tohru had simply moved underground from her home above ground.

  “Oh, yes, I’m alright,” Tohru was quick to assure her friend, taking her hand and standing, attempting to help Hana avoid the human traffic inside the train (not that she needed it). “I just fell pretty hard but Kyo gave me this-” Lifting her arms up, the brunette displayed the terribly oversized but incredibly comfy, dark jacket adorning her body. “To cover up the dirt! But, are you alright?”

     Feeling her body relaxed upon hearing her best friends reply of “I’m alright” was good enough so she wouldn’t have to go find that abnormal cat and demand some things from it. Though, upon her next words about falling Saki was in all honestly not surprised. All she could do was simply let out a small laugh.

     Eyes widen in a small surprise by the orange-haired Sohma actions, but her expression quickly returned back to normal. Even in this new world, he still looked out for the brunette to which she was grateful for so she would have to thank him - when she ended up finding him.

     Seeing the girl in the clothes that were two times the size her fit she hugged her again with a smile on her face. “So cute.” As she hugged her still she nodded her head as she replied. “I’m alright, have you been adjusting to Wonderland?” Saki has been fine with Wonderland, the people here were odd, but she naturally, of course, was avoided - which she was again fine with, she wished to find Tohru because her worry about the girl was high, but since she found her now. That was all that mattered.

My Waves are Fine || Kyoko & Saki

    There were plenty of weird people in Wonderland, and Kyoko found 75% of them annoying as hell. Sure, they were themselves and they’re allowed to be themselves, but that didn’t stop her from giving people her honest and blunt opinion about them.

    One such person was walking down the street of Queens. They looked quiet and reserved, so there really was no need to interact with her, and there just seemed to be something…weird about her that just told her to leave her alone.

    Thinking to herself, “As long as she doesn’t talk to me, nothing’s gonna happen…”

     The day was just like any and all the days Saki has been in Wonderland - mellow. The female donned in her usual black attire and getting the looks that people avoid her for. She didn’t mind in all honesty - she knew who her friends were, those that loved her for her.

    Today, she would think it would be the same, but it wasn’t until she picked up on someone’s waves. They seemed... irritated and that they wanted to be left alone. Strange. As she was walking down the streets of Queens she noticed that the waves she was picking up on belonged to a fiery red-haired girl. The nonchalant face on she stopped her walking as she stared at her. Unwavering emotions she started to walk towards the female as the waves became stronger and stronger. Interesting.

     Stopping a few feet from her standing there with her arms at her sides she spoke in her monotone voice. “May I help you?”

Can a Wave be Lonely? || Saki & Kaoru

   Kaoru was so tired of this mysterious place called Wonderland. He’d been here for months now, and each day was more and more exhausting than the last. What Kaoru wanted more than anything was the welcoming, warm presence of Hikaru. Anything else he could have done without, could have gone a lifetime never knowing, but his brother’s love was something entirely different. It killed the youngest Hitachiin to think of all he’d missed since vanishing, and what Hikaru must have gone through when he did.

    Did Hikaru miss him? Who was Hika now, was he different? Had he searched for him? And… did he look as broken as Kaoru felt?

   The aburnette was shaken from these thoughts by an eerie feeling. Though he was alone in the bakery at which he worked, he felt entirely too… observed, as if something were watching him. It made the hairs on the back of his neck stand and goosebumps to raise on his skin, Kaoru finding himself wishing Hikaru was there all the more. With the ding of the entrance bell, all the sound that had been accumulating in his mind suddenly softened to nothing.

   At the door stood a young woman clad in black, with long, wispy hair. She looked to be about his age but far wiser and all knowing. With a swallow, Kaoru motioned for her to approach the counter. “H-hello, ma’am! Welcome, what can I do for you?”

     Saki was trying to leave her hair down since sometimes she wasn’t in the mood to deal with braiding her hair. Even though when her hair was free it was untamable and a bit of a bother. Either way, she had started to grow accustomed to Wonderland since well it was odd and it fascinated the female.

     Freshly painted black nails pushed open the door to the bakery. Oh, the young man looked to be her age and of course seemed startled - which was a typical reaction to her. Cause who would wear all black and just walk around like she did. Well, no one else that she knew of but she didn’t mind. She found best friends that loved her for who she was and her odd behaviour.

    Hearing him speak up she started to approach the counter. His wave showed green, but also something else. Ah, she knew this feeling all too well. Loneliness. A different kind of loneliness that no matter if you are surrounded by friends it just isn’t the same.

    Purple orbs slowly blinking as she looked over the menu her soft voice spoke up. “What would you say is good to eat here?” As much as Saki was a lonely soul she did want to make friends, but also her fear. Her younger brother was the one who worried most about her, and she now was wondering how he was fairing without her around.

He hadn’t paid her much mind when she’d walked into the cafe, no more than a fleeting thought on how it was that she managed to walk around in black clothing and seemingly not be bothered by it even with the heat outside. A thought that had quickly been forgotten as someone called his name, letting him know that his table was ready to serve. He’d forgotten all about the dark haired teen as he quickly became busy tending to his tables, cleaning and setting them up for the next group of customers as the previous ones cleared out. At least he had until one of his coworkers stopped him in between serving two of his tables to ask for a favor. “Please? I really don’t want to,” the shorter female had said, “I’ll cover two of your tables in exchange!” She’d pleaded, clasping both of her hands in front of her as she gave him a pleading look. “Fine, but you have to cover for me when I take my break too,” he responded with a shake of his head, deciding that it be easier to just do as she asked than stand there and argue with her. Letting out a sigh, he turned to head back towards the front of the cafe. “Deal! It’s table thirteen!” She’d shouted behind him, “yeah, yeah,” he muttered in response, too tired to probe on why she was so adamant on not serving the table. Once at the front of the cafe, he made his way toward table thirteen, reaching into the pocket of his apron to pull out a notepad and pen as he reached the table. “Welcome to TT Cafe,” he said as he opened the pad onto a blank page as he stopped beside the table, “I’m Riku, what can I get for you today?” He finished, glancing up at the person seated at the table.

     It was always the same for her. People stared and kept their distance. Mainly how she wanted it - she didn’t want to cause any more close encounters with death. This was her punishment, she had committed a sin, and so she re-paid in dressing in black and her nails. But it wasn’t like she didn’t want to make friends, she just had a reserved personality.

     So, as she was sitting within TT Cafe looking at the menu it was pretty difficult to ignore a particular girl who wouldn’t go near her table. Sure, Saki was a bit unapproachable, but she wouldn’t cause harm - unless she needed to of course. After some time she was waiting for well whoever would wait for her table. Again, this wasn’t anything new for the female but she did want something from this place.

     After a few minutes had passed Saki didn’t realize that her mind had wondered till a voice called out to her. Purple hues directed to the male she blinked a few times before speaking. “Coffee, and just plain black.” Voice monotoned like usual before she let out a quiet laugh. She was in a good mood since she ran into Tohru so she couldn’t help but pull that card with him. “My apologies, I would like milk tea with some honey in it, and what would you suggest is a good dessert here?”

Train To Nowhere || Saki & Tohru

   It’d been a little over a few days since Tohru had found herself in wonderland, and what a strange place it was. Not only were multiple members of the Souma family here (which always made for a strange place), but there seemed to be beings of all walks of life, all with different abilities and all from different realms. Every one fascinated Tohru more than the last, exciting her to no end and reminder her of all the stories her mother used to tell her. 

   Perhaps that’s why Tohru found herself on the Wonderland Train now, observing all the interesting citizens boarding and departing from its cars. It was nice to explore, the girl not yet aware no one was ever allowed to ride to the end of the line, and thought it a nice way to see all of Wonderland and familiarize herself in one go. 

   However, she had not expected to see another familiar face. “Hana-chan?!” Tohru cheered excitedly, waving to the ravenette now boarding. Quickly, she stood and tried to make her way to her friends, before stumbling and preparing to fall flat on her face. “You’re here too?”

     Saki had grown accustomed to Wonderland after a few days, the inhabitants she learned were all from different worlds. All pretty much found themselves magically within this realm. She wondered how many people just walked right into Wonderland like she did. Probably not many.

     Dressed in her usual attire of all black - complete with black nail polish the raven-haired female started to make her way towards the Wonderland Train. Her destination? She wasn’t sure really, Maybe that mysterious mansion she heard about. Possibly something would catch her attention there.

     As the train pulled up she patiently waited for the doors to open. Lost in her mind her train of thought was derailed as a familiar voice caught her attention. Quickly looking towards the brown-haired girl that was her best friend she felt her eyes widen. “Tohru?” A monotonous voice with a mix of surprise she quickly made her way to the girl's side to catch her before she ended up flat on the ground.

    “I am, I’m surprised you’re here too.” Helping her stand up she did a quick look top to bottom of the clumsy girl to make sure she wasn’t hurt. Good. Letting a small warm smile grace her lips she was relieved to see she was safe. “Were you hurt when you got here?”

     Ah, what a strange place this world was.

                    Wonderland

     From what that cat had told her, did he usually welcome people the way he did to her? Who really knew, he was a strange animal as well. He gave off this interesting aura, danger no. She just couldn’t read it as well. Maybe her aura reading was a bit off since coming here.

     Unlike how she used to be able to read the waves, they instead gave off red if they were malicious and green if they were friendly. That pretty much sounded like something from an anime, how silly.

          Yet, here she was and her aura reading...

     Hana had quickly in a way accepted that she was most definitely NOT in her world anymore - especially after the Cheshire Cat as he called himself introduced himself as.

     She hoped her groceries were safe at least when she appeared they had somehow disappeared from her arms. The raven-haired female was currently walking along the cobblestone sidewalks of Kingly Marketplace naturally donned in her black attire with a black parasol in hand to have shade from the sun.

     Eyes taking in her surrounding as she noticed everything with the people that had somehow found themselves in the mysterious Wonderland too, and with how everything just seemed so... normal.

    Feet stopping in place as her senses were picking up something or someone. “Strange...” Slowly saying the words as her feet continued to carry her where a green aura seemed to speak out to her. This felt familiar to her, was it Tohru? For her to come across this place would be something that would happen to her... 

     Getting closer the appearance started to form and that familiar orange hair that was just like Kyokos. Eyes widen in surprise for a split second but return back to normal. Seeing as his back was facing her she approached him from the back in her silent manner before speaking. “Kyo, it’s good to see you.”

     It ya girl who has no self-control lol. My name is Kim and I also have the muse Mimi Tachikawa from Digimon. The reboot of Fruits Basket has made me fall in love with Saki - once more. So I just couldn’t help myself, shocker. I’m excited to give my hand at this girl so yeah!
