I have a love/hate relationship with "Land of the Lustrous": really hate that it came down to "I got a lot of undeserved shit, but I decided to let it go and forgive" (yes, there is philosophy and all that, but my vengeful soul was not pleased), but love the writing, the world, the visuals, and I didn't want to let it go so quickly. So I made her, Opal, for a fandom ask, but ultimately didn't go there due to the tight deadlines for answers (and almost complete lack of questions)

Honor Bound beta testing has begun!

Drumroll... it's that time... time for beta testing!

For almost a week, I've been going through feedback from six randomised playthroughs from continuity readers, fixing many typos and sorting out little (and medium-sized) errors. And now the full game is ready for private testing!

In the meantime: I've taken down the Chapter 1-7 public demo, and have put up an up-to-date Chapter 1-3 demo. Because the current version isn't compatible with Dashingdon, it's only available to play from the above link on itchio - the Dashingdon page links to the itchio game. During beta testing, I'll do my best to keep the public demo updated.

For Sneak Preview Patreon subscribers, I've left up the early access Chapter 1-7 to play before release (this version is somewhat out of date, but I figure if you would like an Honor Bound fix in the meantime it will be a little preview of what's to come later). I'm not sure when that will come down, but it will be up at least until the end of beta testing. Sneak Preview subscribers can go to this post to get the link.

there's admittedly something really funny about how chainsaw man almost got the western dungeon meshi fandom treatment, down to some vestiges still existing to this day, and narrowly escaped into having a standard manga fandom by feeding every single character necessary for a cozy slice of life AU into the woodchipper

I woke up and decided to listen to the hip hop club mix I’d made and for some unfathomable reason all my Spotify recommendations were ASMR but I didn’t recognize the artists so I picked one at random and listened to 30 sec of a guy crunkling a plastic bottle thinking dayum Spotify recommendations on Point for once before thinking hey wait a second beat should’ve dropped by now. And that’s how I listened to two minutes of water bottle crunkly today. Also occurs to me that my memory of SA clubs c. 19-23 went a lot harder than the western hit singles chart which makes sense since apparently SA hip hop oscillates between amapiano and hardbass synths largely depending on the skin tone of the bloke in the oversized baseball cap jibbering behind the disc table
