it bothers me when someone brings up misogyny in shounen anime and people shrug it off with "its designed for teenage boys, what can you expect." like well. idk i think its actually pretty important that shows for teenage boys are normal about women. i mean i think all media should be normal about women but teenagers are impressionable i think we could put a little bit of feminism in the teenage boy shows. it might do some good. you never know.

I hate keeping the reblogs on on my posts about feminism because TERFs love to hijack them. No, I do not believe in your bioessentialist bullshit. No, I do not think your chromosomes determine what personality you will have and your inherent capacity for evil. I am a man and I am highly critical of men, I think men are misogynistic because they are taught to be by society and I think more and more men are radicalized in feedback loops by their peers in the manosphere and down the alt-right pipeline, I do not think testosterone or their assigned gender at birth is what makes men do harm, I think that is a cop out that removes personal responsibility. It is the same ‘boys will be boys’ bullshit that got us here. I think trans men are men and I think we are capable of being misogynistic and I think it is important to hold each other accountable.

Your idea of feminism is unproductive, regressive and fundamentally useless. You will try to twist my intersectional feminism to fit within your extremely flawed and dangerous framework and you will fail. Trans women are women, trans men are men. just saw a pigeon doing the puffed up courtship dance thing to another pigeon, and as he was strutting around he suddenly stopped for a split second to do a very brief preen-peck at his own side, then returned to the strutting around. and i surprised myself by instantly losing respect for the male pigeon in that moment, like come on man i appreciate you had an itch or whatever but how is she supposed to feel special when you're getting distracted by bullshit like that? which on reflection i don't endorse, i mean those are pretty harsh dating norms i'm imposing on these pigeons, from a total outsider perspective, for no reason. probably not all girl pigeons are as uptight about that sort of thing as i would apparently be if i was a girl pigeon, maybe she even found it endearing who knows, i don't know her. it's none of my business really. sorry pigeons.
